I don't have any Gucci 😂 we live in Kentucky so I guess I'll get a "field and stream" magazine and frame a guy wearing all camo hunting for Bambi. 🤦🏻♀️
I feel your pain with TicTok videos! Most are extremely irritating. The UA-cam Shorts are constantly being dangled in front of other regular videos that I unfortunately click on without thinking, (ADD), but then get frustrated at myself for watching 2 in a row...sometimes 3 or 4. 😵💫
Some interesting tips there. I use a wet palette to store my acrylic paints in, which is very similar to the lunchbox idea. It works wonders!! Well done for braving TikTok, I am avoiding it for as long as possible 😂
Salt on watercolour will work better on darker colours - it’s a fab trick for creating texture and the effect becomes apparent after the paint has dried and you have brushed the salt away. It’s great for moss on rocks, or rust on metal, or old paint on doors etc
That was a nice selection of stuff. Think the Gucci lass was being deadly serious, if not she wrecked her feckin book. Do u think she could of done with a bigger frame?
Hey Ant, thanks for braving TikTok to bring us the latest fab video!! 😄😄 You got some quite decent results from those hacks 😀 I really don't get those 'react' stitch videos where nobody actually reacts... maybe something to bear in mind if you want to launch an effort-free TikTok career!! 😂😂
Hi Anthony. It’s so great to know that I’m not the only person in the world who doesn’t watch Tim toys, I don’t feel like such a dinosaur anymore, so thank you.😊x
I'm glad others do! It's been driving me crazy lately, they're all turning into the same thing and I find it so irritating!! 😅😅 Well that's definitely unfortunate! 😅😅
I made Christmas cards for the first time in 3 years because of Covid restrictions. I used salt on one of the cards. As long as you sprinkle the salt on wet paint, and wait until the paint is completely dry before you rub the salt off, you can get some neat effects. You can use different types of salt, or even rice will work.
I just discovered you bc i was wondering WTF is Turner’s milk paint & it seems you’re the only person who told us (thank you!) You are absolutely hysterical!! You had yourself a new sub as soon as i heard “I don’t have any Gucci….bc Im not a twat” 🤣😂
I'm not sure I have....although I might have.... I honestly can never remember what I've used or haven't used anymore! 😅😅 I'll have to look into them to double check! 😆😆
Yessss! Water colour pencils were great, especially for details. My grade 7 teacher was an artist and he swore by them, therefore, he introduced them to us. He advised my parents to get me a set for my birthday, and so I got a really nice set in a tin package. I also press hard with crayons and scrape them off. It does look good!
Oh they're great aren't they?! I was obsesssssed with them in my younger days! I had never ever seen it done before and it's amazing!! Completely changes the crayon texture!!
Who else is here being inspector gadget looking for that "Special Comment" lol hehehe I hope daddy doesn't catch us or our xmas is over. 😂 love ya Anthony
I'm also old. I'm 28 and hate tik tok. It's so cringey when someone take a video from TikTok and they have to take the sound out because it's copy right then you just have a video of people lip syncing in silence. It's so awkward lol.
I've done the salt with watercolor for years. All it does is create a more granulated effect. I'll have to try the crayon thing, that looks pretty cool!! As always thank you for sharing!! Ps..I hate TikTok too. My best friend is always sending me stuff and I get the next reel and it makes my eyes and ears want to bleed. lol
Ant, your not alone, I dislike TikTok intensely, because it's basically poor quality viewing for adults, and it's not governed so a lot of kids get exposed to bad stuff that is not acceptable to my mind for any child. I think that person with the picture frames was being serious. I don't know, I could be wrong, but I really think she was thinking she made fantastic art. Also, I love that lunch box hack. I've tried it at home and it works really well and it comes in very handy. With the salt it watercolour, you need to leave it in the paint until it's dried, and you get a snowflake sort of effect. And don't worry Ant, I can't draw either! It's so blinkin' frustrating! Lol. Still, we can't all be good at everything. You for examole, are good at making UA-cam videos, and making people laugh, so there you go. Your more talented than you thought. Thanks for an entertaining video. God bless you and yours. Stay warm, and Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones.
Yeah I'm not a huge fan! Never have been! Oh I really hope she wasn't 😆😆 I never seem to get better at drawing lol, although I don't practice enough 😅😅 Ah and thanks Carly! 😊 Hope you're keeping warm too!
Some of those were nice hacks. I have a love-hate relationship with tiktok too LOL. I don't think the lady was being sarcastic I think she really believed she came across something new and it sounds like she has a California accent.
Awww now be nice, CA here. Not ALL of us are airheads. 😄 Especially as an Ant Fan, we can't be all that bad! But too be fair, replacing 1 stupid picture w another does sound a bit Californian 😄😄
it sounds like she was serious not sarcastic about discovering that she could put a book page in a frame. my guess is that the idea of replacing a picture is not "new news" but using a page from a book was the "new" idea.
Neat info. Will have to try a few. I resisted tik tok for years but now I’m on it lol. I watch crafts and recipes. I went and followed you. I’ve uploaded a few short. Practice lol. I have to organize my craft room and get a project board up to list my projects so I can keep track. I find I am not in there for days due to life getting in the way. But I do have a long list of things to do.
I wiped my arse with my guchi book as I ran out of bog paper I suppose it created a type af Art? But I definately wouldnt frame it. I DONT UNDERSTAND TIKTOK I have only just got used to youtube because Im old and it seems to be full of dances that would cause me to break a hip.
Oh, that was awesome! Ya know the end of Raiders of the Lost Art, where the bad guys' heads basically melt? That's how I feel every time I look at TikTok. I hate it so much; so, yeah, hate shorts too! I was getting wound up right along with you, LOL! That first hack, I couldn't tell from her voice either, so I really hope she meant it sarcastically, because if so, she was amazing! If not, omg... But the thought of taking an $85 coffee table book and ripping a page out of it to put into a Dollar Tree frame then sticking it on the wall of the bathroom... and being proud of the idea?! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I've heard of the salt in watercolor thing, but never really understood the point. Even when it works like it did in the TikTok, I don't see the point. But I'm sure some folks love it. I do want to try the crayon one, tho. I remember being chastised as a kid for rubbing too hard -- I'm so sorry -- and ruining the crayon, so I guess I never thought to try again as an adult, but it's tempting to try just for that shiny outcome. That's a completely new one on me. You entire video was wonderful, and thank you for breaking up my really boring editing afternoon!!!
Haha!! Oh same!! I just find the content on TikTok to be alll the same kinda stuff, same music, same ideas, and then people just clearly stealing others videos and passing it off as their own content, winds me up! 😅😅 Oh I hope she was being sarcastic for sure! 😆😆 The crayon one was amazing!! Works a treat!! Ah and no problem at all! Happy I can give your back, neck and brain a rest! It can be exhausting for sure!! 😅😅
Thanks some of those are great! Who has a big vogue book on their coffee table !?! A pretentious dill hole 😂I’m an oil painter acrylics dry too fast for me so I’ll definitely try this! Salt in water colour is a good effect I think you just needed more colour saturation and let it dry completely. I love your art style but every time I see your astrological sign you did ages ago, I see ovaries and fallopian tubes 😂😂
@Anthony Crammen I used to use it with the cheap Crayola water color paints lol the texture wouldn't ever show until I brushed it off. I thunk the hardest part is waiting for it to dry.
She was serious....poor thing. 😆 I was a watercolorist for over 25 years and though I'm a silk artist now, I use salt to create various textures on silk just as I did on watercolor paper. The salt in watercolor does work but you did it wrong. For best results use actual watercolor paper. Wet the paper and then add your watercolor using wet-in-wet. Wait for the watercolor paper that's wet to turn a matte finish (the paper goes from glossy due to being wet to matte due to drying just a bit). Pour the salt where you want effects and let it completely dry. Once dry brush the salt away and voilà. The salt effects won't look like snowflakes or crystals (the girl misrepresented the effect), but they have a neat texturing look. You could do it with less water and use dark colors to see the effect better. Different types of salt and different sizes will create different effects. You can use different mediums and different liquids as well, like alcohol, lemon juice, vodka, etc.
TikTok do this all the time I was framing pictures from magazines way back in the 90s. This is the same app which tried to make out tuna pasta bake was a revolutionary new food idea which Nobody knew about 😂. Bloody hell my nan used to make it for us when we were small 😂. Have you been at my bathroom window?.. I only watch tic toc when I'm on the loo 🤣. except for when a friend (whose bloody obsessed with tic toc) says "oo, have a look at this one on here" then I'm still standing there 10 mins later while she's scrolled through a least 50 that she saved while I'm thinking but dare not say (because she is my friend) omg get a life! I do think that lady was being serious about putting a pic in a frame to replace a pic 🤭 - oh and the generic pic of the tree you covered is on the splash back behind my hob🙄😆
Sadly, I don't think it was a p*ss take, and I approve of your Tik Tok choices (spots, dogs and cats). Speaking of Tik Tok, you hardly mentioned it, so I was wondering how you felt about it? 😜 Although I agree with the tiny bit you did say about it.
Maybe you need to include more cute dog scenes to appeal to the generation tik tok . Just don't them lick the salt of your water colours and keep the dogs away from the paint as well.
