@@GriffinMiller-yr1tudon’t worry guys, Lincoln and Morill builds character and immunity from mold 🙏 (it really wasn’t that bad, the space was nice for a double but the walk and distance from classes was the worst part)
I spent a month looking at it while my dad was in The James. ... It could be worse. The founder of my company went to OSU shortly after the Korean War. The campus was overcrowded with GI Bill students. As a result his dorm was in The Shoe! They converted some storage rooms into dorms and they had to just shower in the locker room. He said they froze that winter.
1984 I was 9 floors above you, had the same desk, but a full quad. Or rather, a quad of quads. Living with 15 guys on a co-ed floor was definitely a shocking experience for a freshman.
I loved Morrill! Lived in a dbl, roomate never stayed over, so it was basically a single, rode the elevator to work at the housing office, road the elevator to breakfast, lunch and dinner. Game days had good energy, met plenty football players, went to school with mega stars, Troy Smith, Ted Ginn, Santonio Holmes, Greg Oden, Mike Conley, Dequan Cook! Went on trips with different programs to New Oreans and Florida, experienced great fball and bball games, had my share of experiences with the ladies, and partying and thats just the beginning....Ohio Sate grew me into a man! Go Bucks!!!
Thanks for the memories. I lived on the 22nd floor of Morrill Tower in 1971. one of my suite-mates was John Kasich who ran for president a few years ago. Oh, and the windows DO open. One of my suite-mates had a cat who peed on his roommates pillow once too often. Yes, the cat went out the window and landed on his feet 22 stories below. Yuck.
@@stackeG no,, lots of ppl. I knew dropped out after a yr.-- we had really bad winters 74-78 also, wasn't the right fit for me, wouldn't do it again, Cols. is very conservative town, cops don't like OSU students
I lived in the 22nd floor of the Morril Tower during the 1976 to 77 school year. I had the same exact view Out my window as I saw in your video however, that big seating section was not there and a large part of the football field was visible. I don't think the interior of the dorm has changed a bit in the last half century. Thanks for the video 👍
LOL, I'm friends with a guy who was one of Dahmer's roommates in the towers. Moved my son in to Baker yesterday. Perfect room, 1st floor, corner, easy exit door overlooking South Oval. I lived in Smith before they connected it to Steeb. I posted a reply on here that there were 18 to a suite when I went to school, but I think that's incorrect could have been 24? How many doubles are there per suite? 4 or 8? All i know is, when i went to OSU the doubles you mention were quads.
I lived in Lincoln in 1998 and it was actually pretty nice. Just 2 people in the room. Nice little shower set up in the suite. Honestly it was much nicer than a lot of my friends living arrangements. The elevator was a pain in the ass Sometimes but that was about it. When I was there we had someone come in and clean the bathroom once or twice a week I think. The janitorial staff. So our bathroom was very clean. Way cleaner that bathroom which was trifling by the way. Clean it up y’all lil nasties. Long ass walk to High st though. Plus we were cool with everyone on our floor. And found ourselves jumping from suite to suite all the time.
I lived in Lincoln in the 80s....16 roomates a room. Two bunks per room. It was impossible to study in your room. You couldnt study in the common room either. It was tough duty. The only plus was every other floor had girls. You met alot of people, which is a definite plus. Go Bucks.
Hey! I use to live in Morrill tower back in 2008! Geez make me my college day! Study hard man! I graduate in 2009! I moved to Minnestoa and came back to visit family and How much has The Ohio State University grew!
One last comment, what's really ironic is my son's girlfriend moved into Lawrence Tower yesterday. I think the towers have a rival for worst dorm now. It's like they didn't even try when they converted the Holiday Inn on Lane into Lawrence Tower. Only saving grace is the air conditioner in the wall🤣 Otherwise, it's a pretty crappy dorm room. Looks to be a half mile from most class rooms and you need to walk all the way to Morrill to find the closest dining hall...is that correct?
My suite mates got drunk and high every night, had a pet wasp on a string and smashed the windows out on the 17th floor sucking all the heat out of the building in winter. Let the good times roll! RO
My guy it's criminal that you don't have more subs. I've been admitted to Toronto Metropolitan University as an international student recently and I'm applying for housing there and the rooms...also kinda look like prison cells but not as bad as OSU. Bro, I am being deadass when I'm telling you that your living condition is 10x worse than how I lived when I served in the army lmao Anyway good luck with everything and big luv from Switzerland
Horrible. I started my freshman year in Morrill (with 4 in a room) but was fortunate enough to transfer to a different dorm halfway through the first semester.
I couldn't imagine living in a suite with 9 Benny's
LOL, when I went there it was 18 to a suite!
I've been condemned to Morrill Tower for my freshman year. Thanks for preparing me
I got Lincoln. I keep telling myself it’s gonna be one year but man is it gonna be a long year

i got assigned a 4 suite in a 4 suite cluster in morrill, im very overwhelmed to say the least lol
I got Morrill Tower too best of luck to us
It will be great. You will be fine. I liked it so much as a freshman that I lived there again as a sophomore.
Lived there in the early 90s. Very little has changed. Great memories! Thank you

Lived on the 11th floor in 1997. The first weekend there, I looked out my window and go to see the Rolling Stones perform in Ohio Stadium.
Thanks for bringing back a lot of bad memories!

I’ve already seen you on 2 different OSU related videos, did you even like OSU? 😆

Might have actually been 32? Drop out rate for Freshman in the towers was like 96%.
This is a whole lotta yap ngl (I miss you)
I love this video.
Fifty years ago Morrill was full, all quads, 16 people per suite. Around campus it was known as "The Zoo."
Thank you for sharing! Now I know what not take as residential option. Best of luck for your villain ark. (Just don't ask me why I said this🙂)

Dorms are dorms. That being said, it is pretty outdated. Looks similar to my college dorm from 20 years ago. Could definitely use some renovation.

Wow, I was there in 1981, top floor. Rooms look just the same. The dining hall looks 500% better.
One of my roommates managed to get the window open on the 17 th floor back in 1985, just in case you are desperate for a breeze!

The beds look EXACTLY the same as they did 25 years ago.
Mini fridges too 😂

Lawrence is actually not that bad compared to many others at osu
Thanks for the compliment! Most others would not agree with you when I was there!
You never miss seeing these towers driving on 315
Sir, lived there in 80’s ….16 persons in a suite / four quads
I lived there on the 17th floor facing the stadium. I loved it there
Good ole "Immorrill Tower"...Lol.

Literally.
Also travel ain't going to be much issue with my cross country background but I'm excited for this

Damn that shit looks like it did in 1994!!! They need to update it bad.
Yeah I got 12 total in mine plus my 3 roommates meaning 16 of us in a suite nice way to start my first college experience lol
Same

Living here for now, really bad experience. Feels exactly like a prison. If possible, live off-campus.
It is nothing like prison.
Take a shot every time he says “Morrill Tower”.

Now I know it’s awful on the inside as well. Eeew.
Make your bed!
Nah cause I was gonna bring it home that day
So, is Morrill Tower the Sodom or Gomorrah Tower? I get them mixed up
nah bri u complaining about 15 min walking is crazy
Farthest walk on campus 😎
All dorms on OSU campus stink. WAY too congested.
Too bad that dorm is on the Ohio State campus
