Thanks for the video! I have a facelift model that just crossed over 50. It has thankfully been running strong; stock tune. Only maintenance I’ve done myself on it has been sparks, brakes, and oil. It is my dream car.

I agree with your thoughts on the car. I am leasing mine and in 10 months will have to decide whether to finance it or give it up. I have had so many expensive cars in my life, including a 2003 E55, that if I listed them all you would think I’m insane. But this is a wonderful all around car. Only drawback I’ve seen is that it is prone to wheel damage. I bent one badly hitting a bad pot hole. If I buy it I will get another autoexcel policy for such damage.
the alloys are so weak. i’ve had 2 crack on me, and currently waiting for one to be repaired 😢 the only issue i have, or more of a worry, is the tappy noise from the engine. i’ve had it looked at and have been told it’s just the injectors but i’m not too sure.
Where’d you get the rims & lip? Also you mentioned the car was jumpy, have you tried using a fuel injector cleaner? I had that issue with my car forever and thought it was the transmission, 1 bottle of Techron Fuel Injector cleaner later and it stopped, car accelerates WAY smoother now. I swear by that stuff.
I was thinking of buying a 2017 Mercedes C class convertible but because I keep my cars a long time I highly doubt a car like this today will reach 250,000 miles or 200,000 miles because of the massive amount of electronics. Unless of course you spend a lot of money over a ten-year period. What do you think?

I am getting a c43 2019 coupe with 76k miles. Throughout Mercedes maintained. Immaculate condition, but I’m very worried if it’s reliable. What do you say?
Not too bad but make sure every single maintenance is up to date and done professionally. Mine lasted me up to 116,000 miles due to timing chain issues (poor oil changes) other than that everything else including transmission was fine
Could you please answer the question of car reliability? I drive fast and driving is the most important thing to me. reliability. Will the car be able to withstand his 170,000 miles on his Voc? Will it be as reliable as, say, a Lexus? I like it so much that I'm concerned about its reliability and high price . So what do you think? Is it reliable? Which one is better? In all respects, especially when it comes to reliability and driving feel, there is a LEXUS IS and a BMW G20 and how do they differ? I'm sorry for the inconvenience. thank you.
I have a 2017 GLC43 and I am starting to see problems arise with my transmission. How would I go about getting it checked? And what are some signs that my transmission is toast? My car is at 106000kms so around 65000 miles and I took it to the dealership for an oil change and they said they did everything that needed to be done but I am starting to get worried. Thanks in advance!
Sheesh that tranny left the chat a little too early. Mike started having timing chain issues at 115K never did a transmission service on it since 25,000 miles. That’s strange would check to see if changing the oil on it works
Really not this engine was first in the SL and E 400 it’s a GT engine at heart and a great one. Not many turbo engines can go 200k without much hassle. (Edit) let alone twin turbo cars or biturbo
Does your amg have a light tapping/ticking noise from the engine at idle? Not a knocking noise but more like a barely noticeable light tapping noise. I have a 2017 c43 amg (my 1st amg & new amg owner) and noticed this noise at idle and low rpm’s, i hear it sub 2k rpm and apparently it’s from the high pressure engine pump (from online sources/research) ? The noise goes away after increasing rpm and speed ~2k rpm and above. I have no engine lights, fuel level is good, but I do have euro charge tune. Not sure if the tune effects this or has caused this. I bought the car with the tune, car runs perfect and is powerful, just had the oil change 2.5k miles ago by Mercedes benz as well. Maybe I’m just a stickler for certain noises, i used to drive a 2014 honda civic si, so the amg engine is new to me. I hear it’s common amongst amg’s and other euro manufacturers to have a light tapping noise due to high pressure spark plugs igniting/high pressure pump/etc. was this true for yours? Just curious. I would appreciate any help, leads, or info regarding this brotha. Btw, sick car man!!!
I have the same exact issue 2018 c43, from what I read its either the purge valve or like you said the high pressure engine pump. Were you able to figure out what it was?
Its the engines natural sound. With the hood open it almost sounds like it’s breaking itself but it’s not lol. Not knocking just ticking from the fuel pumps they are exxxtreemely high pressure.
I had similar sounding issue with my 2019 C43, the problem was broken clasp on the downpipe or somewhere around the exhaust system or something like this, can't remember exactly, but the AMG technicians should know whats is that it is known issue which can occur. fix was 30 eur (around 25 usd) for the new clasp and the noise is gone, originally i was thing it can be valves etc. but the real problem was the broken clasp..
I'm also about to buy one. A buddy of mine is going to sell me his 2017 c43 with 54k miles on it for $25k. They typically run for 30k though. Unfortunately I have to pay cash which will put a ding in my wallet lol
I’ve learned with Mercedes, if the burbles go away typically it’s because there is a pending code the car detected. It might not show a check engine light, but eventually if that code doesn’t go away then it might trigger it. It pretty much does it as a safety protocol. I have driven a E53 AMG, burbles went away then weeks later check engine light. Once it was fixed the burbles came back.
