The yellow BATT wire needs to connect to a constant 12V (battery terminal unless u can find somewhere easier). This is per Eonon support. E90 (and all BMWs) turns off power to devices (the radio) when car is not in use for too long or battery voltage getting too low. This 12V will keep your Eonon alive and not lose clock and settings.
@@courtneylane6731 BMW controls all electronics. Nothing gets power from battery without DME knows. There is a IBS ground cable to watch the current. If DME shuts down all electric and still see current going thru, u get a code. With that said, I run the yellow to the front jumper terminal thru the ebox fan hole. Nothing is easy when dealing with BMW as they never think about serviceability when designing. There will be a lot of taking apart. If you install backup camera on the trunk, then mind as well run the yellow to the battery at the same time. At the end, you will get the SOS and battery discharge messages when u start up the car. That is unavoidable.

@@derekkchung I do get the sos message and inside my glove box there's rapid clicking from a relay that I keep swapping out with other ones I have .. the key fob also gets stuck sometimes it is released after about 2 secs of messing with it but sometimes nothing have to start the car then drive around then park again to get the key to be removed ..

Same I have a 2010 328i and I’ve taken it to pros and they ask me if my car has fiber optic and I’m not sure 🤔. They tell me if it does it’s going to be a lot more expensive to install a stereo. Something about ordering a special box that’s like 500 to 600 alone smh
@@someone4029 I did some research and found out I didn’t need it so I ordered a Joying head unit it was all plug and play I have it on my video since installed it’s amazing the sound is way better than the stock stereo .
You just need to look up the vin for your car and see which sound package you have, I don’t remember which one I have but it’s the one that’s doesn’t need the decoder, look thru comments someone posted how to infer a comment

Can you share your EQ settings because I’m considering going back to stock sadly after speaking the amount I did, it’s a great device but sometimes I have random pop noises and then shuts off and on. Lol it’s actually comes with screws on the sides & also Little covers for the screws so it’s not noticeable, I just didn’t add them & also the HVAC does need to be trimmed a bit to fit snug with the radio and model year BMW. Also I could of trimmed it better to make a more snug fit but I was okay for the meantime with leaving it as is. Thanks for the response I guess you say the workmanship could have been better lol. @@bimmermodz248 The bottom HVAC needs to be installed first so that the LCD can hold down the bezel. I guess your video is just to give a general idea of installation. I am sure people who buy this will follow the instruction manual to install. The time consuming part is to run the USB, Carplay, GPS, Wifi, backup camera, dash cam, and most importantly the 12V constant wires to where you want. Nevertheless, thanks for the video. That inspires me to buy this unit.

Nope this unit is honestly amazing and I haven’t had any issues with it getting hot either & and I literally stuffed all the cables behind. (don’t do that lol proper cable management is important lol)
I have this same head unit and it’s actually better than the original radio.the loudness button pushes it nicely and you get more volume without having to turn it up so much.

Does anybody have experience with the annoying beep sound that won't stop from the Canbus? It start's when I'm driving or in reverse and is constantly beeping. When I stop the car the beeping noise stops. I have chosen the "hiworld" protocol that the Canbus says, the steering wheel buttons work and everything but the sound wont go away. Any idea how to fix this? I drive a BMW E93 2007.
My unit was working fine and now it’s turning off and not coming back on. I changed the fuse in the back of the unit and my cars radio fuses and it came back on but today it went out again??
Nvm I figured it out. If you let the metal part of the radio in the back hit that metal bracket that holds the hvac when you pull it out it’ll blow your radio 30 fuse be careful

So I changed it and now have amp con(blue)-ant(green) and amp con (green) to ant (blue). Kinda confusing but I have high Fi too figured you know
@@beishy96 they have apps to control the heated seats, also have a ash tray that you can relocate the heated seats and rear visor by your shifter. I have a 2006 325i and just hooked this bad boy up, still learning everything but it's a bad ass unit and is built for the BMW specifically. You will get a whole lot of new safety features, and maintenance checks that usually are not available from the dash, and overall I've noticed a much better sound quality with a lot more customization. This is not a easy install, guarantee it's taken these people far more hours and possibly many days of realizing you needed another part or cable, at least in my experience with a huge sub box in the trunk. Just make sure you don't rush anything or have someone who knows what they are doing help you, luckily I have my dad around and he's worked in the autobody industry sense he was 13 so I'm blessed to get the help I do. But this is for sure something you wanna take your time with, and or get professional help, one wrong wire gets pulled and your car will not start, fail to follow all the steps and your battery will probably die. Hope this information can be somewhat helpful and if you do purchase this and have and extra questions let me know!
Can’t upload pictures here . Have a few question about the black tabs that screw into the back of the radio . Those seem like they can go two ways and some of the wiring if you don’t mind
I think logic 7 from what I've been reading in the forums is when you have 1 speaker in front near the dashboard, you have two on the sides of driver and passenger seats then you have 2 more for the back passengers and I think another one or two more near the rear window. @Luis prieto

Do you have the TPMS working? When I put the screen on it doesn't show the actual tire pressure. Just says 0 at all 4 tires. I have a 2011 E90

Do you have a speaker on the middle of your dash. If yes, then you have logic 7 and need decoder. No speaker, no decoder needed.

You can either re-route the controls to the ashtray with a new ashtray bracket that they make OR the unit can also control the heated seat settings

The sos is the satellite radio, you have to code that out !! ( I read all comments and monitor the channel even thou I haven’t posted in a while 🙃)

So the Blue amp wire goes to the green? I’m having issues with my sound. Sound will stay on for 15mins max then shut off. No sound at all.
Also how do we know if we have the Hi-Fi or Logic 7 system?

Lmao I took a break honestly, the install takes a hour 30 min max If you wanted to actually make the Wi-Fi cable and mic look neat on the dash
My E90 has heated seats, how does the unit control them and where do they plug in?
