- If you are a fan of HGTV hosts of Fixer Upper Chip and Joanna Gaines, then you probably know they just renovated and launched Hotel 1928. I stayed at the Hotel recently, so if you plan on paying a visit soon or if you are curious about what it's like at the Hotel then this video is for you. I agree on many of your comments. This hotel is WAY overpriced for what you get...this includes the rooms, the service and the food. It seems like the price point is solely attributed to the 'Magnolia Brand'. Not a good showing, sadly disappointed. I'm going back in March and have booked a brunch and dinner at the hotel. I'd like to give hotel 1928 another opportunity to prove themselves - maybe they've worked out all the kinks by now.
I brought my own mifi and quickly pulled it out of my back because the wifi was soooo bad. If you're planning to do any work that requires being on a video call that wifi will absolutely not support that type of bandwidth!
I also had the same experience with room service - the meals in the restaurant were good, not great. The room service was inedible.

One of these days I might check out the coffee shops since I live in Waco and work downtown close to there silos coffee press shop and my church is one street over from the hotel on Columbus Avenue
Thanks for the tour ! I believe when the hotel was brought to life they wanted things to be as close to historic as possible, 1928 era. Therefore, no gym and other items that are in our present day experience.
Thanks for the tour! When you mentioned WiFi not working well I laughed, as I have worked at a historic restaurant that WiFi would never work properly because of our ghost activity, possibly the problem! 😊

The website is still that way! I was just on the website over the weekend and couldn’t figure out the rooms so I didn’t book so there’s a customer they just lost!

While I enjoyed your vlog I do have a bit of feedback. I feel like you’re being somewhat unrealistic with your expectations, a tiny bit.
You ordered toast but toast cools quickly, then with cold avocado on top it cools even quicker. This should be taken off of their room service menu as they will never be able to get this to a room before it’s either cold or soggy.
Also, you wanted to check in early in the morning but hotel check ins are always in the afternoon and for a good reason. The hotel staff need time to clean the room.
Customers should have to pay extra for early check ins.
Some constructive criticism, your camera is very shakey a stabilizer might help with this. The audio was a bit off at some points too.
All in all I think you did great with this vlog. Looking forward to your next Waco vlog.
Room service isn't always warm that's the chance any guest takes.

beautiful hotel but the Music is to loud and It seems as though there is music playing even at night. hopefully you can't hear it in the rooms while trying to sleep
