I work for JW Marriott , we have to knock on the door at least 3 times politely! Once the guests opens the door we always have to ask about the permission “Hello Sir/Miss! May I come in?!” and if they give you access, we have to put our door stopper, and once you are in the room, you have to ask where you have to put the service! The guess will indicate to you the perfect place to put it! Also, before giving the bill, it's necessary to explain the service and if it's completed! Then, you can give the bill to the guest with both hands and while the guest is singing their bill, it's very necessary to take the plastic from the glass or another item totally off apart of it, you have to be friendly asking the guest many questions! Try to empathize with them! At the end, you have to ask if they require something else! Before you go, remind them that they can call 0 (At Your Service) in order to come back for their previous service or they could leave the service outside of their room (Also, if they have many complaints or special requirements, always report it and apply the famous “LEARN”)
