I like your minis but i have a lot i follow and i only keep ones with MMFs that give them to me at the end of the month so i dont spend hours trying to make sure i download GBS of data at the end of each month.
Just scrolling my feed and... what is this.... WHAT IS THIS? Dani featured US? Thank you so much! Could not be more happy right now. Btw we make a 4-5 shot adventure for each release - included in the subscription - we actually playtest everything ourselves and we start with the story. You must have checked the page exactly when were switching them over.
It was a pleasure - thanks for sharing about the adventure! That sounds like a lot! Best of luck to you all - and thanks for sharing your talent with the community :)
Mammoth Factory I've only been covering for a few videos, and I don't have any specific recommendations for similar campaigns just now. Edge Miniature, The Cursed Dimension are lately working on Drukhari proxies. I can't think of anyone focused solely on the elves, but other great proxy campaigns include The Hive, making Tau Proxies (also one of my patrons, and making really great vehicles), Crucible of Games was working on Tau proxies, now working on more of a Guard army I think. Atlan Forge makes great space marine legions. Valkyrie's Playground is focusing on Chaos Marines. There are a lot more that I will probably remember while I'm at work later.
In the ~500 subs range (lots of creators fluctuate from month to month, depending on the theme they put out for a particular month), of the creators I support, I'd put forward these three: Vae Victis Miniatures - a good bundle of minis and some scenery centered around a common theme, great sculpts and several of their minis are created as modular/semi-modular too. Monstrous Encounters - if you're looking for OOP old school GW/Warhammer-style models, HeroQuest models in various poses, D&D Cartoon models and even dungeon tiles, this is the place to be. Dark Realms - Pinyo provides you with more buildings than you can shake a stick at every month. From to a huge Dracula/favourite fantasy vampire castle, Norse inspired cities, underground dark elven buildings, jungle ruins and regular "fantasy" buildings to steampunkish "Laandan" and Eberron-esque lightning rails trains.
One Gold Piece - I mean they're bigger than the 500 Patreon limit, but they're only $1/month. They've got a cool aesthetic combined with constant homages to pop culture in the Fantasy element.
I vote for Dragon Workshop - only 166 patrons but the sculpts OMG! He makes ships and terrains - Right now he is going through each D&D module and building terrain for it. Check out his Curse of Straud projects and his ships!
First, let me say I love supportless models. The ease of printing and general durability makes them worth every cent. I’ve backed BriteMinis for ages, but another creator to watch for supportless is Arbiter Miniatures. He doesn’t have a Patreon, but has done 4 incredible Kickstarters so far with a new one coming soon.
Multi-part minis are so important when it comes to tabletop wargames and quite rare to find them. It's incredibly frustrating when you come across a talented designer, offering cool looking sculpts that are clearly intended for army-scale games, but they only give you 5 mono-pose designs for a given infantry unit which could be fielded in groups of 40 or more and you've got all these repeat models.
My STL creator of choice is Sable Badger. Rather than sculpting minis, he makes things we need for multiple games. Measuring templates, bases, scatter terrain, dungeon tiles, fleets of ships for A Billion Suns, buildings for Stargrave or Five Parsecs, three color printable FDM tokens, game dashboards, Gaslands terrain, movement templates, and weapons. He consistently puts out quality gaming accessories and takes requests and suggestions from backers.
Realy like this format. Although I'm not really into sci-fi miniatures and I would definitely struggle to find a use for some of the models shown, they are really, really nice! And I can assure you: I have printed my fair share of Brite Mini's models! They're amazing!
Glad you like the format, Michael! It's hard to make sure every genre gets love, but the only way I can really make it fair is to make it as random as possible. Really cool about Brite Minis! I've seen their work all over as well!
I'm getting better at putting supports on minis, but when i need to print a whole army, supportless makes it so fast and easy. Love supportless! A new creator that i've really being liking the detail on their miniatures is Cripta Studios. Some really cool models
Flesh of Gods is my favorite Patreon right now. High quality sculpts, they are on par with the best out there. Ans they are not even on your green random wheel :(. They definitely deserve more attention.
Manuel Boria is a really talented guy with only 300 subs Bite the Bullet to me is mind blowing how they manage to have only a little over a thousand subs, their work in my opinion is really good
You are very right on both accounts. I just printed out BtB’s Dragonborn shaman and it’s amazing. Will definitely be featuring it in an upcoming video.
For more minis from a galaxy far, far away, check out Madox, Studio DR, Seb Miniatures, Black Remnant, The Rebel Base Build, Nyverdale Tabletop and others that I'm definitely forgetting. If you are more interested in a Trek across our own galaxy, the only people I know working on that are Lost Herest (also patrons of my channel, so I love them)
@@3DPrintedTabletop Danny I really think the community would support these more regularly, I love this kind of content. I would be excited to see you do one every month.
Blue Sky Miniatures is one of the best ork miniature creators out there, imo. He does highly detailed ork characters with comic book and anime references, like an Akira/FF7 inspired ork warboss on bike, or a Dr. Octopus inspired Big Mek.
Dark Realms Forge is amazing for their monthly terrain. It's criminal that he has just over 500 patrons, it should be much bigger. Great terrain, easy to print on FDM (everything is supportless), playable interiors, etc.
Broken Anvil Miniatures isn't small - but I almost never see their stuff printed and painted. They're amazing minis with a strong, distinct style and they're pretty cheap as a sub!
I believe Lion Tower Miniatures is still under the 500 mark. is a solid follow and has a good selection of pc/npc fantasy minis (my personal favorites are the level up minis on his MMF)
I was going to mention them too. I really liked the The Kingdom of Talarius set. I'm subscribed now, and just kinda wish the release schedule was a bit better.
I like Brite Minis. They make pretty regular D&D minis. The only other support free campaign I can think of at the moment is Rocket Pig Games, but they are more of a monster themed campaign. Edit: You did Rocket Pig Games immediately after I wrote this. Well played. There are lots of big name monster focused campaigns like Bestiarum Miniatures and Lord of the Print, and Mini Monster Mayhem you could also check out.
Ooh, Skulptork, that one is new to me. For more orks check out Mekka Miniatures, Black Crag Miniatures, Mr. Modulork, and Blue Sky minis. I will probably remember more in twenty minutes. Edit: Gearguts' Mekshop! How could I forget?
Who are the most unique STL Patreons? For me the list would be Atlan Forge (mythological wargaming), Cobramode(anthro-animals), Bestiarum(Dark Fantasy)and Extraguy (articulated mechs). If anyone else has any really strong gimmicks or unique offerings please let me know!
not a big fan of the "Tribes" name for MMF but I love that it's more consolidated. Thank you for the list, I've been using Brite minis minis for a while now. Didn't know they had a patreon.
I don't know if they've been featured in your previous hidden gems videos. But Criptastudios is well worth mentioning. And they're under 200 subscribers via Tribes right now.
TPK Lab is creating amazing models. They mix some 80's references to the models. One thing I like a lot about them is they make a lot of female heroes and they often have POC characters.
I followed a couple of the patreons you mentioned here for further investigation. I'm not sure if you covered Forest Dragon yet but they make some pretty great 10mm fantasy.
You want Warblade miniatures, I'd recommend you jump on that Patron real fast because they are likely to get a cease-and-desist order as those are obviously infringing on IP. I don't know about the current owner of the IP but I can tell you that the previous owner was really adamant on not getting third parties selling products with their IP. I would reckon the current owner is just as adamant. They seem really good. And I LOVE modular figures.
I ab-soooo-lutley love this series of content. Showing some love for the underdogs💪🏻🙌🏻 I’m having a hard time finding creatures… the ugly the unknown the out of this planet/underwater/ godforsaken creatures to create thrilling dioramas. Any recommendations?
Vae Victus! I don't -think- they're over 500 yet? I remember it being pretty small, but its really nice, and they've been doin a lil bit of modular stuff recently too.
@@3DPrintedTabletop Oh huzzah then! How do you see how many patrons each has anyhow?...Nevermind, I'm a dunce. But huzzah that Vae Victus finally broke 500!
For orks, I can't recomend Blue Sky Minis enough. They do a mix of blood axe and freeboota style models with lots of modularity and bits. For speedfreak orks, check out Bulwark Gaming. Their killatank is an awesome battlewagon alternative, and thier wierd tower is waaaay better than a plastic company's version.
Thanks for consistently great content, and also a great attitude of wanting to make “the team” successful. It’s not that this attitude is unseen these days - but it bears calling out when it is. Cheers 🍻
Shout out to some of my favorite creators! Labyrinth Models, Menagerie Miniature (this one is very NSFW and on break until April), Lost Heresy (Lots of Star Trek look-alikes), and Combat Octopus (Modern military)
Can you 3D print adidas predator mania soleplate. The boot is 20 years old and the plastic has started to disintegrate there is no replacement can you help?
I'm trying to find minis that are more dark/grim and somewhat realistic feel....skulls/blood/gore. Not cartoony or or comic or fantasy style... Any suggestions?
Oh! and also! Battle Yak! They've been killing it for a long time and are getting very little recognition! 162 patrons, should be well over 500 by now!
I’ve been enjoying My3DPrintForge. They create Warcraft stylized characters and just released a Zandalari set this month. I love WoW-style trolls and theirs is the first that looks nice to me.
Great video! I recommend checking out Tainted Windmill - they seem to have just launched this month (16 patrons last time I checked), but super impressed with their stuff, scenery bits designed for resin with a dash of creatures, but they are teasing some nurgle related things for next month so I'm not quite sure what their focus is!
I don't necessarily have a favorite small time modeler but I do watch Tabletop Karnage's youtube channel for monthly updates on Patreon and Kickstater projects. I like your random process for reviewing modelers on your youtube channel.
Anybody have good tips what to back, if I'm looking for miscellaneous monsters, beasts, creatures I can use in my D&D campaign? I've been backing various patreons for over a year or two now, and feel I'm pretty stocked up on humanoid type miniatures. Got all the elves, orcs, thieves, fighters, etc. I need. What I'm lacking is bad ass monsters and creatures that my level 11+ adventurers can encounter. I don't need the basic wolves and bears and such - looking for bigger badder things. Homebrew is fine, anything cool that can be dropped in as an exciting surprise for my players would be excellent.
I think Rocket Pig Games would be a good fit for you. Also, Bestiarium Miniatures might be a good fit and Mini Monster Mayhem for sure. Good luck, Tom!
Just a weeee criticism, from my experience I wouldn't call Rocket Pigs a hidden gem. They seem to be one of the more popular Merchant Level file makers out there, with many stores on Etsy selling printed models from them, and their main MMF page has over 4+ million views and +62k likes! i think it might be a little confusing in that they have alt accounts for specific themes or models
Also dude I'm sorry again but at 6:34 you say "I'm not sure if they're still supportless minis" and it says "ALWAYS SUPPORT-FREE" right there on the image in big red text XD
