George Raveling was an underrated head coach. This may have been the best Washington State team ever.

The ones under Bennett were better.

At least 3 guys from this game made the NBA, Rick Carlisle and Ralph Sampson, college teammates who played against each other in the 1986 NBA Finals, an infamous series for Sampson. Also the great Craig Ehlo, underrated player. Everybody remembers Michael Jordan's 1989 Game 5 shot against Cleveland but had Craig Ehlo not been so athletic, talented and quick, the shot would not have been so difficult. He kept up with Jordan and it is a tribute to Ehlo that it took an iconic play by Jordan to beat him.

DIMP11, you're referencing "The Shot", a play that still stings with Cleveland Sports to this day.

Yes I don't live in the USA but having lived in Bahamas, Bermuda and Canada I know all about the Cleveland heartaches as I am 49 years old and remember Brian Sipe's pass in 1980, The Drive, The Fumble, The Shot, the 1995, 1997 and 2016 World Series and now the 1-31 Browns of 2016 and 2017. Thank goodness for LeBron James and Kyrie Irving. Howver the Cavaliers are doing a John Elway to my beloved Toronto Raptors.

I think Ehlo had the best NBA career of the 3, maybe.

Craig Ehlo was also a competitve participant in the 1986 "N.B.A. Finals" for the Houston "Rockets" coming off the bench.

Why was there a 3 point line in Boise State's arena?

Irony here. Three years later, Carlisle and the Celtics, would beat Sampson, Ehlo and the Rockets in six games to win the NBA Finals.

jeffc31783, do u have Richmond over Indiana and Richmond over Georgia Tech and Richmond vs. Temple from the 1988 NCAAs?

Hi Marie-no I don’t have those unfortunately. The Indiana game is on UA-cam a couple of places I know. I’d bet Temple is too somewhere. Not so sure about GT though. The is a UA-camr-Steven Barnett who has a ton of stuff. Also check NCAA on Demand. Good luck!

speaking of Stephen Barnett, he has Richmond-Indiana, '88 NCAA East Region 1st Round from Hartford, Connecticut. ua-cam.com/video/G7vOFaF8TFI/v-deo.html
I'm sure he has Richmond-Georgia Tech and Richmond-Temple from '88 NCAAs before long.
