Did i spend the entire day yesterday vidding a ship likely no one else cares about? yes, yes i did. I've loved these guys for years and years and this is is probably my most watched tv series? The new special ep Promised Land hit me right in the feels. The fact the old episodes are so old you can only get them in like 420p kills me.

While I don’t necessarily ship them romantically, their friendship is one of the purest ones. I’m so happy The Promised Land really went back to the season 6 style of emotional building amongst the dwarfers. Even if it was one scene.
I've basically been shipping these characters since I was about 7 so I loved the 'moonlight' scene lmao. This is really good!

After watching The Promised Land I knew someone was going to make an edit using the moonlight scene. I don't ship them, but this is starting to convince me. They are friends deep down, you can't spend 30 years with someone and not be friends.
When Rimmer said "noone likes me" I felt so sad

Red Dwarf gives me so many feelings. I basically grew up with it, so plenty of attachment there. I adore your videos; I never knew you watched this. I also never realised I shipped them until I watched this, and it all made sense. Thank you, this is lovely.

i also basically grew up with the show, and i've rewatched it so many times since it got added to netflix! Aww lovely! Thank you for making this beautiful tribute! I was very young when I first saw this series, and though didn't understand much back then, I always felt sorry for Rimmer. Becoming older I could appreciate the show much better and still love Rimmer :D How amazing that the characters still come to life, and to see a new tribute for them! I need to check out this new episode :O

I shipped this way back when I first saw it on American tv as a kid and god, this just brought it all back. It's incredible not to see the rather blatant homoeroticism between them to begin with and to know that the actors went a long time without getting along-- just to pull the moonlight scene off the *way* they did? -- the way every single one of Craig Charles' lines is Lister saying "I love you" over and over and over and in character, Chris Barrie making him say it because Rimmer wants to hear it-- *needs to hear it* -- this scene just DID THINGS TO ME and this amv captured it all. Bloody brilliant.
