I like my radium. I have a q2525. It doesn't compare with the fixer or handmade on most things. It does Rip through human npcs like they aren't even there though.
i've been doing the final quest for over a year, and sill haven't received plans for THE FIXER; i have my free one, and another i picked up somewhere...both at level 30...
I am currently level 68 in the game, I already have the fixer blueprint, but when making it at level 50 the damage is very low, barely 50, with some improvements it reaches 60. Any suggestions to achieve more damage?
Well, it's been a real life and game life decent couple days. Today I did the Valentine's hourly event which usually drops three star garbage for me that I just drop on the ground since I have far more scrip than cores. But today I got a three star combat rifle. 15% faster reload, anti-armor, and replenish AP with each kill. I modded it to your fixer specs and tried it out on some floaters. Even though damage is 67 compared to my 96 on Fixer, it mowed them down. I am happy! Perhaps I'll see you around Discord one day as I joined yours a couple days ago. Thanks yet again for the videos. P.S. I figured out the rest of the mods I needed had to be bought from the vendor. I have them all now.
If you don't use VATS then handmade has the higher damage potential and is the best for stealth commando. Bullets that miss because of the large recoil of Fixer/combat rifles does 0 damage, if you are not in shotgun range the recoil will make allot of rounds miss. Easily repeatable to see just how bad it is compared by going to Burrows South, run to the first channel and sneak at the barrel next to the passage leading to the right where a radrat lives. Kill the wandering ghoul on the walkway on the other side of the channel then target the ghoul that should be waking up in the opposite corner on the walkway left of the reception thing. See how many rounds hit it compared to a handmade. Can you kill it and severely wound the ghoul that comes from the reception thing before ghouls come out of the tunnels on the right with a fixer? No, but you can with a handmade. Over the course of a day those missed rounds add up making the handmade superior for those who do not use VATS.
Just built one to your specs. I have 3x commando, 2x expert commando, 3x master commando. We'll see how it goes. I've scrapped countless combat rifles but still have mods to learn. Hope I get them learned someday. LOL. Okay, I had the three mirelurk pics and had to kill a queen, hunter, and king. Holy Mackerel. Yup. I will go to single shot for most stuff to get ammo off the scorched, but full auto for fun! Thank you once again.
Eyy i was looking if i should buy the dark matter paint for my fixer but didnt know if it was combat rifle only or not. Looked everywhere but found nothing even support was useless. Then i remembered this vid. Thank you again turtle for doing gods work.
I just started playing using this and stealth is fun and solo amazing. If u do it right barely touched. Was using handmade but fixer is better besides the ammo cost to ratio. Almost lvl 200 so he doing more dps.
If you want Angry Turtle, I have a good collection of the fixers, like the Q/50c/25, Q/25/25, B/25/25, B/50c/25, AA/25/25, AA/E/25, B/E/25, Q/E/25 and AA/50c/25 Fixers if you need to do a showcase on each one of those types.
So one thing I notice you don't cover properly is the Muzzle Devices. this holds true, at least in my observations for all Muzzle devices: 1. Suppressor, Despite its description, has no or negligible impact on Recoil control. Suppresses the weapon and opens up Mister Sandman damage bonus 2. Muzzle Brake, Reduces recoil significantly and also increases weapon durability modestly, reduces range 3. Compensator, The best non-VATS muzzle device. Eliminates (Yes, Eliminates) Lateral Recoil, So your gun will only "Climb Up" while still shooting essentially straight. Allowing you to "Walk Up" your gun into headshots. If you're not using VATS most of the time, you should be using Compensator Muzzle device. I just see so many people who clearly aren't using VATS using suppressors on their guns, and you really shouldn't. Suppressor is only for Stealth and I'd go so far as to say only for Stealth VATS. I'm lucky enough to have a pretty robust collection of Fixers. I never get them on my main character though, only my mule. I assume because the only Plan-unlock legendary I have on that is the Fixer. So no Gauss weapons or nothing like that. Might help some people to know that they should just create a mule strictly dedicated to rolling for fixers (The chance is still abysmal though) QEP JFFRV-25 J10DWAP AA50CD-25 GE-25 2S50CD-25
This may be a redundant comment, but I recently got a fixer plan from a holiday bag. If not that it was from one of the mutations bag that you get in mutation events. But I think you need to have finished the mission for the sheepsqoch boss. For some reason I didn't get the plan for the longest time.
Turtle the trick of putting your buildings or turrets up 2 flights of stairs up for protection, no longer works . Today I saw Ghouls,Eye Bots,Scorched,Cave Crickets and Bloat Flies all climb up two flights of stairs to kill my turrets , Sigh at least a hunk on concrete in front of the stairs slows them down enough so the turrets can kill them while they are eating the concrete .
The second I learned the fixer plan, I went to the purveyor and bought ten 2 star legend ranged weapons. 5 were fixers and 1 of the fixers was a b25%. There’s gotta be a reason why.

I forget where I found my fixer but it's been sitting in my safe for a while. I think it's about time to take it out for a spin. Besides when I get enough legendary cores I'm gonna grind for a anti armor explosive build.
Can you do the same video for a minigun? Pretty sure must be similar to the gauss minigun but I am pursuing a heavy build that do not rely on grinding currencies or reputation in order to learn a plan and grind again for the resources to craft them.
They really need to make another special combat rifle, call it the breaker and give it a .308 receiver and semi auto only to give sniper builds something fun
I saw that putting the prime automatic receiver didn't raise the damage up very much at all would it be better to just leave the powerful automatic receiver instead ? I just started converting most of my weapons to prime receivers if the damage increase is significant enough
I have just about every type of Fixer there is. I only use 3 of them .... Bloody 25/25, BE 25 Vats reduced, and TS FFR . Great guns, best rifles in the game hands down if you're big on Vats. If you're a free fire type player, then you probably should use the handmade rifle, only slightly less damage and you lose the sneak attribute, but WAY less recoil. Just my opinion
Handmade is my fav! I also like using the 10 mm smg lol I'm only level 60 and still learning the game I love the handmade so much I spent real money on atoms to buy the matte black paint skin for it lol

i did use sometimes the fixer, but never found it very efficient (heawy recoil= innaccurate in automatic, the self made is MUCH better), and never reach 450 head shot damage like on this video (never see more than 100 damage, with all needed rifleman or commando perks), bloody is close impossible to make: after more than tree star 100 buildings i NEVER take a "bloody"...look like many secrets to rise up the efficiency (here whe have 4x more damage as "normal"!!!) are hidden, or reserved to some players (first class...)

If your a loner like me herbivore blight soup gives 40 percent crit. Not as good as in a team. Stack with drug overdrive
@@anotheruser8105 steeped fernflower tea gives you 5 strenght if you in a team for 30 min radant lager works with herbivore too
Omg thank you, I just took a huge (like three year) break, and this really helped me match up with all the other players
I use my .38 ammo with a basic automatic pipe rifle, which is no slouch at 45 dmg and 75 fire rate with max Commando and Bloody Mess. I use it to kill dogs, ticks, molerats, and the weaker humans, and I save my .45 for the Fixer. No one else seems to use .38. I tried to sell it at 1 cap each but no one ever bought it. My best-selling ammo types are, unsurprisingly, .45 and 5.56.
Fixer is my primary. I have 2. One is a explosive quad capacity anti-scorched, and the other is a 2 shot with VATS. both 3 star.
Just got me a explosive and +10% damage while aiming. I love it
Thanks for the video! I love my quad fixer but was unsure what to look for in the other attributes. This definitely helps.
I have never smiled more when someone said "canoe"
i just saw your full dmg commando video and realised, that i completely forgot about the fixer. (always played with a handmade cause it was easier to get with good perks)
Now with the legendary crafting i decided to grind fo a good fixer and start to shred.
My acutall problem is indeed the expensive Ammo.
I thought about going for single fire, when just farming or something.
Or i go and farm for 10k-20k ammo to have a good spare.
I just got a three star Fixer drop from the Scorched Earth event.
Damage increases as health decreases.
Bullets explode for area damage.
+1 Agility.
BUT............I don’t do bloodied build! 😢
I rock 3 different fixers regularly. I have a Vampires explo, a BLOODIED 1 star and an Anti Armor 25 250
which one is better? I have Vampires explo, bl +50 crit and quad exp. I am bloodied stealth commando. is Vamp exp really good because I put it on sale for 10000c?
Have you done a video about radium rifles too? Been trying to unlock the damn silencer mod for over a year now
I can put a suppressor on one for you if you're on pc! I dont have many mods for the radium but i have that one for sure. Sadly the rad rifles with pretty decent rolls couldnt beat out my fixers or handmades
@@_OopsieDaisies thx but I’m on Xbox. Just trying to get a silencer for my Q2533 radium. I’ll ask the next days in r/market76 if someone can mod it
You have to scrap trash for radium but using science expert does lower the build cost as game considers it energy variant, weird but?
@@__TK___ I have Suppressor unlocked for Radium on xbox just lmk id be glad to help out
I like my radium. I have a q2525. It doesn't compare with the fixer or handmade on most things. It does Rip through human npcs like they aren't even there though.
I have a quad explosive fixer and it is my favorite rifle.
Lemme get that.
@@budscaglini Oh no, it's a keeper. It's like a surpressed LMG.
i've been doing the final quest for over a year, and sill haven't received plans for THE FIXER; i have my free one, and another i picked up somewhere...both at level 30...
I am currently level 68 in the game, I already have the fixer blueprint, but when making it at level 50 the damage is very low, barely 50, with some improvements it reaches 60. Any suggestions to achieve more damage?
Legendary mods. I'll do some trades with you my gamer is BlockedEwe16798
I have them all now.
good to hear you got some decent drop 👍
One day I looked in my crafting (around level 20), and just saw the fixer in my craft able options. Dunno how I got it but I’m glad I did.
Great vid 👌🏽. Your vids always help me out loads when I’m stuck. Keep it up 👊🏽👊🏽
Eyy i was looking if i should buy the dark matter paint for my fixer but didnt know if it was combat rifle only or not. Looked everywhere but found nothing even support was useless. Then i remembered this vid. Thank you again turtle for doing gods work.
How do you unlock all the mods for the fixer?
I just started playing using this and stealth is fun and solo amazing. If u do it right barely touched. Was using handmade but fixer is better besides the ammo cost to ratio. Almost lvl 200 so he doing more dps.
If you want Angry Turtle, I have a good collection of the fixers, like the Q/50c/25, Q/25/25, B/25/25, B/50c/25, AA/25/25, AA/E/25, B/E/25, Q/E/25 and AA/50c/25 Fixers if you need to do a showcase on each one of those types.
So one thing I notice you don't cover properly is the Muzzle Devices. this holds true, at least in my observations for all Muzzle devices:
1. Suppressor, Despite its description, has no or negligible impact on Recoil control. Suppresses the weapon and opens up Mister Sandman damage bonus
2. Muzzle Brake, Reduces recoil significantly and also increases weapon durability modestly, reduces range
Might help some people to know that they should just create a mule strictly dedicated to rolling for fixers (The chance is still abysmal though)

This may be a redundant comment, but I recently got a fixer plan from a holiday bag. If not that it was from one of the mutations bag that you get in mutation events. But I think you need to have finished the mission for the sheepsqoch boss. For some reason I didn't get the plan for the longest time.
I got the TSE Fixer , 3 star from the SBQ event. Was jumping for joy when I got.
Those 10,000 screws was the most interesting part for me.
I had no idea those attachments reduced AP so useful to know and i tested it out works even better now
Picked one up at the cookout today. Already have the plan. First Roll Bloody with ap regen on kill and perception(cbbetter)
Turtle the trick of putting your buildings or turrets up 2 flights of stairs up for protection, no longer works .
Today I saw Ghouls,Eye Bots,Scorched,Cave Crickets and Bloat Flies all climb up two flights of stairs to kill my turrets ,
Sigh at least a hunk on concrete in front of the stairs slows them down enough so the turrets can kill them while they are eating the concrete .
1300+ hours and I've gotten 1 usable Fixer, a vampiric +VATS hit version, every other drop was trash
The second I learned the fixer plan, I went to the purveyor and bought ten 2 star legend ranged weapons. 5 were fixers and 1 of the fixers was a b25%. There’s gotta be a reason why.
@@thegodofhell1138 agreed, the RNG is ridiculous, it took to around 1100 hours played before a Fixer plan even dropped for me, a year and a half of events without the plan dropping was extremely frustrating
I bought the plan and then the plan started dropping, and I still haven't gotten a drop from events or from moma murmur...I bought my AA from a player vendor.
cheebamech I agree with you, I have done encrypted ever since wild appalachia was released. I’ve done it at least 75 times and only gotten the plan once. It’s stupid.
I got lucky and found a vampires fixer 33% vats that someone had dropped in front of the tinkers workbench at Crater along with a bunch of other fixers of various levels. Not sure why someone would just drop that but it’s been one of my go to weapons since.
Angry Turtle. When you absolutely positively need to know. Thank you for all ur hard work sir!
I just picked up a Q50crit15v Fixer and I think it holds out amazingly even as a bloodied explosive it's a monster
I had a 1 star fixer drop at eviction notice. I’ve never done the sheep squash quest line
When I first got the game someone just dropped me a three star fixer as soon as I left the vault lol
Just thought I'd say that these thumbnails are really good, they definitely Catch your eye!
I like using a fixer on my heavy gunner build for precision work. Even w/o commando perks it still shreds.
Tweaked auto receiver with a vats crit build? Seems to do a lil better for me against Earl
Yaaay a proper fixer guide!!
Thanks for the video turtle :)
Anti armour fire rate handmade and a executioners fire rate fixer for the bigger dudes on low health with nerd rage and of course unyielding will wreck. The extra xp is the best bonus👍🏻
thanx for another great review Turtle, much appreciated .
just curious for overall DPS would be better crit damage or faster fire rate
I forget where I found my fixer but it's been sitting in my safe for a while. I think it's about time to take it out for a spin. Besides when I get enough legendary cores I'm gonna grind for a anti armor explosive build.
Can you do the same video for a minigun? Pretty sure must be similar to the gauss minigun but I am pursuing a heavy build that do not rely on grinding currencies or reputation in order to learn a plan and grind again for the resources to craft them.
Make videos showing the best weapon for each boss or event. Thanks!
Lovely breakdown my turtle 🐢
I have one of my explosive fixer with 38 ammo it also fires faster when using 38
I use Stabilized mods on all of my weapons simply because I never use V.A.T.S.... but I wholeheartedly agree that The Fixer kicks like a mule.
I love the fixer. But what magazine were you using at the end? It had 80 round capacity.
quad legendary
i rolled a 3 star on my fixer a couple weeks ago and i got a quad explosive fixer
Sweet just rolled a legendary Vampire 5025 fixer 👌👌
Im using .45 ammo. Mostly I earn them from ammo converter by convert all type of ammo I found when explore and also crafting with perk. Im stealth build so killing mobs not using so much ammo. Got 4-5k on me.😅
Angry turtle how do I go about getting the prime receiver? Do I gain through events or scrapping the fixer?
SBQ fights you will loot it from her dead body
i did use sometimes the fixer, but never found it very efficient (heawy recoil= innaccurate in automatic, the self made is MUCH better), and never reach 450 head shot damage like on this video (never see more than 100 damage, with all needed rifleman or commando perks), bloody is close impossible to make: after more than tree star 100 buildings i NEVER take a "bloody"...look like many secrets to rise up the efficiency (here whe have 4x more damage as "normal"!!!) are hidden, or reserved to some players (first class...)
i have done the sheepsquatch mission, did the laying lowe, got to the secrets of taxidermy and even went to the pylons to negate the shield of the impostor sheepsquatch.. i remember finishing if with a lot of barflys i didnt know, but i didnt get the rewards, nor fixer plan. how do i remedy this, so i can finally get a plan? all i wanted is to craft a L50 fixer to replace my L15 one
fixer plan has 5% chance to drop you need to craft more event cards the problem is you need to buy circuit board from vendors and it's expensive
Am I guaranteed a Fixer and the plan for it from completing the Sheepsquatch quest line? I ask because I have horrible luck when it comes to RNG and not very much time to play - a truly terrible combination x'D
plan is not guarantee, but you can buy from players
Can you modify the fixer to have legendary perks at an weapons bench or do you have try your luck at the Rusty Pick to get legendary version?
Thanks.
you can
@@AngryTurtle Thanks! I did what you said and here's the roll I got:
1. +50% damage to humans
2. Bullets explode for area damage, and
3. Breaks 50% slower
Is there a receiver that makes it shoot in salves?
Hi Turtle!
With pts 2023 May, with the advanced tooltip
What's better for recoil, for hip fire fixer? Thank you
I didn't check for that yet
Can u plz make a video like this on the assault rifle. The assault rifle is a very underrated weapon for Commando build. I find myself out killing enemies before my friends can even get a tag with its Superfast reload. Mind you yes fixer is stronger bullet for bullet. But with the reload of the assault rifle this will definitely give you more DPS. I would love to see a video on the assault rifle if possible if you can tell us all the modifications that give it the best ap usage thanks turtle
please tell me where i can find or buy plan for automatic .45 reciever
Turtle you’re literally a god , thank you for this video
I got 2 fixers that i keep swapping and still can’t decide which one is better… one is AA50crit +250 on reload. The other one is a BE 1agility. When I’m not doing crits the BE seems to do better. Obviously the AA50 hits way harder in crit… which one would u use if u were me? (I play bloodied obviously)
explosive and you can drop crit savy
Sorry to ask its off topic! can you get that helmet from the start of the video in world or from store?
it was from atom shop
Is it an automatic rifle or semi automatic rifle? What perks should I take?
There's no sheep poster at Charleston Station btw
check train stations in ash heap maybe they removed some
I have not done the quest to unlock the imposter quest for myself, but I have bought the Fixer plan. The thing is, I have never got a fixer drop from months of playing. Do I need to do the quest line to unlock the imposter quest for myself before I get drops, or is it just a very rare chance?
chance is 5%
@@AngryTurtle thanks m8, but i was talking about the weapon itself and not plans :)
Hey Angery turtle, im trying to get a vampire Gatling Gun. The crank one.
Is there a way to fosus farm it? I on xbox and haven't been able to find one or get someone to trade/sell me one and if there if any info you could give I would greatly appreciate it.
unfortunately it's totally random
In the next update you will be able to roll for a Vampires Gatling Gun 👍👍 around July

I've just put legendary mod and got 3 star fixser with exstar ammo it means i have now in magazin 90 bullets and also it give me a exstra fire rate i've trayd it it is insane like little machine gun shred enemys so quick
I have a question about my fixer. I have a 3 star (+50% more damage when target is below 40% health, +1 agility & replenish action points with each kill) when i don't have it equipped it says it does 102 damage. but when i equip it it drops down to 90. do you know why that is? my special is st 11, perc 22, end 10, char 3, intel 13, agility 20, luck 15. really have no idea why. i have a similar automatic assualt rifle that does plus 5% attack per mutation and that one does 102 whe ni equp it.
Been wondering...If the "meta" is shifting towards power armor, wouldn't Fixer be replaced by Railway rifles? Railway has higher base damage and while bad for sneaking, why would you sneak in PA...
you can just use heavy gun in pa
Exactly. I use Fixer for stealth/sneak commando. Railway rifle for just commando. PA for heavy gunner coz you only benefit stabilised perk in PA
Railway has ridiculous recoil and negligible VATS cost. It's definitely better as a VATS gun, which most PA builds aren't geared towards.
@@Dcar87 yeah. Pointless firing an auto without vats. Unless your shooting a scorched beast lol. But it’s nice to get threw a whole quad magazine without the vats running out either
If the 2nd star is explosive then the best 1st star is two-shot. This is true for all weapons in FO76.
What level can you start the quest too get the fixer plans. I'm new to the game and just hit level 20 :)
you can do it but it can take a while to farm the plan
I’m a stealth commando packing a B/50crit/15faster fill. And it’s a good weapon for stealth builds and helps if you don’t have a full HTD set.
You don't need a full set of htd it doesn't stack, so all you need is a single piece.
I have a question, is itonly as lvl50 weapon?
Shoot, I'd love to have a fixer tbh, I'm almost level 50 and been using a double barrel shotgun the whole way through. Super slow at loading but puts out a good deal of damage. I'm just tired of the shotgun at this point
I just found a Furious Explosive, I really like it, kind of addicting.
Tons of Handmade skins where are skins for combat rifle/shotgun or do they only drop in Nuclear Winter?
Most of them are nuclear winter but you can't even get those any more because they were seasonal
How do you know which gun mods reduce AP cost in VATS? It doesn’t say so directly in the tooltip right?
i tested all mods
@@AngryTurtle Sorry, maybe I need to phrase my question better. I know you tested all of them but... Is there a certain keyword or phrase in the tooltip that aligns with having reduced AP cost for an easy way to remember which ones give that benefit?
@@AngryTurtle I duped your mods (only difference is the legendary roll gave me damage to super mutants instead of the quad) on my level 50 fixer but the damage is only 54. The highest damage I could see was 60 if I applied a hardened receiver. Have the stats been changed since you made the video?
