thank you just got one and realized it's braided, never had one like this before and wondered how its done. Do appreciate everyone who takes the time to do this and care for the plants. thank you. Smile Martha and thank you too.
Awesome video!!! I will be trying it very simple process. We bought a small one with four stems in pot and wanted to learn to braid just like the one we’ve had for a while. Thank you sooo much!💚💚💚💚💚💚
I will also braid three different coloured abutilons white, tangerine and yellow. I love so many plants and their gorgeous colours braiding them will allow me to enjoy so many more in my tiny garden here in Eltham Victoria Australia 🇦🇺
Awesome!! Now how do you upkeep the 4 stranded braided tree? I bought one & a few months later its crazy, and I don’t know what to do. It’s flowering and all but I’m afraid to cut it
Thank you I have an umbrella plant that needs to be repotted is grown very big over just one summer and it's too big for the pot and I wanted to repot it and also choose some other ways to grow the plant your video was great gave me a great idea I love the look of the braided plant I hope it goes well for me so wish me luck over the winter I will be trying your advice thanks a lot
Just ordered and received one from HSN shopping channel waiting for the flowers. Few tried but the travel was hard and first ones died so patiently waiting for first flowers to bloom that were not traumatized. were advertised as 3 different colors when bloom.
Why is "The Entertainer" playing in the background? I'm waiting for a mime to appear somewhere in the back end of the room .... LOL Anyway, thank you for something informative and creative. I have a well established hibiscus that I am starting to trim, and I think we'll be doing this.
Amazing stuff. I don't live in your area (tampa bay) but saw my first braided hibiscus just a couple of weeks ago. I think it is very creative and of course wondered about the process too. Thanks so much for sharing the "secret".
Is it different for Gardenia with Braided Stem? I had a Braided Gardenia...I think I got it at Sam's Club. Brought it home, it was lovely. But over time 2 of the stalks died off. The one left was still going strong though so I cleared out the others and 3 yrs later I still have it. The only issue I have with it now is that the leaves are a bit yellow. But otherwise, it seems healthy and is blooming away.
I had a braided hibiscus that died last winter. But new sprouts popped up and there are stems everywhere now. I was wondering if I could retrain these new growths. Eventually I removed the dead braided ones out of the way.
Oh my gosh this is just the video I was looking for thank you so much. I'm wondering if you possibly have one on a crepe myrtle braid and/or twist? I too will be using four trees. I will go and look at the rest of your videos and have subscribed. Just one thought the next time you show braiding could you go a little bit slower and maybe closer with the camera to show the first four braids. You guys are so used to doing this it's like second nature but for us beginners it's super hard and we need to catch each little nuance. Thank you so much!
Can a braided full grown Pink Lady Hibiscus but would lie to continue braiding the stems , what are the steps to continue braiding with out braking the trunk?
Braiding three is easy, but four is hard, and she went too fast. I’ll have to find another video for that, but otherwise the other explanation was very useful. Can you braid three different flower types?
i just got a 3 foot braided hibiscus for my hub on father's day from walmart. (10 bucks on sale)..i love it..but it has not bloomed yet, and i wonder when i should repot it and "cyclecell" the plant to make it bloom...
It would be nice to make a compilation of video clips of the braiding part. Up close and from different angles. Filmed sort of leisurely on different days. The worker feeling different on different days, that little effort of keeping the quality the same in different moods is important to show. For an apprentice, or someone only trying to appreciate what the work is like. In short, a collection of video clips of the braiding. Like a repetitive screen saver. I wish I could get hardy hibiscus in this form instead of tender tropical. Around here they sell the tropical but they die, either outdoors or overwintered as a house plant. They need a green house. It's bad to sell them in my zone, below Atlanta. And I feel that especially since it takes over a year to mature them! They are sold as throwaway in many places, like a bouquet of cut flowers. Temporary. Outrageous! Hardy hibiscus as braided standards. Such as 'rose of sharon' which makes a nice small permanent tree. (Some call these 'hummingbird trees.') Your consideration is respected.
thank you for this video, I have a question though which hormone powder or liquid do y'all use on the Hibiscus cuttings? I've tried a podwer, but some times they mold & my cuttings die off.
Martha needs a raise. She's the only one who knows how to braid plants👊 team Martha, #Marthawins.
Go Martha!
Martha hates us all.😂
Hahahah
😂😂😂
Thank you for sharing- my braided hibiscus is my favorite house plant - it's beautiful & was a birthday gift
Almost after 8 years since this video was uploaded, m still wondering how she braided all the branches.

Your videos are concise and very informative. Thanks for this one. I’ve always wanted to make a braided standard hibiscus and now I know how. Cheers!

Thank you for the information given about this plant! Now I have to learn about pruning.
I have an established hibiscus tree.. Should I cut off suckers off the bottom, near the dirt, and also on the braided part of the hibiscus trunk?
Awesome video!!! I will be trying it very simple process. We bought a small one with four stems in pot and wanted to learn to braid just like the one we’ve had for a while. Thank you sooo much!💚💚💚💚💚💚

that was beautiful but she went to fast.. I watched it about 50 times & can't see where she goes with 4! stems.
She is basically taking opposite stems crossing them then doing it to the other two stems all the way up or at least thats what my eyes see
There are 2 stems she put together
If you can braid, its the same/ similar process
Go to settings and turn down the speed
"Four strand braid" you can practice with string/rope
Very well done and quite informative! Thank you for sharing your time and knowledge! The hibiscus are beautiful!
very nice
appeared very easy
excelent explaination thank you because i want to braid some unbrela tree becuase love the way the stem looks.. thank you

what kind of hibiscus do you need to braid them ?
Thank you for sharing that.
I'm eager to try my hand at it.
Beautiful hibiscus plant! Has anyone ever braided together differing colors of hibiscus?
Just ordered and received one from HSN shopping channel waiting for the flowers. Few tried but the travel was hard and first ones died so patiently waiting for first flowers to bloom that were not traumatized. were advertised as 3 different colors when bloom.
@@jewelleryaddict flowers only bloom for one day, so maybe it wasnt stress.

Thank you for showing your hard work. I have 15 of your plants. They are very nice. PEACE.
