I think it’s a great idea! It’d be hard to recreate the magic of original cast, but often times dubbing in a different language loses some of the magic...and GG was a brilliant story idea, so why not build off that and give people of that language their own version. I think it’s great!
Wow wat was dit slecht! Echt ongelofelijk. Totale plaatsvervangende schaamte. Het origineel was in alle opzichten elegant en doordacht. Van de uitdieping van de personages tot de kleinste details van de styling. In dit goedkope jatwerk ineens een stel ordinaire wijven met grote pruiken in rare goedkope outfits. En waarom is die onderlinge toon zo doorlopend agressief. Het is zichtbaar geschreven zonder enige feeling met het origineel en vooral ook gewoon slecht geregisseerd. Alle intelligentie is eruit. En dat zie je dus meteen in alles terug.
Unfortunately the women portraying Sophia and Dorothy are not distinct enough. Difficult at times to know who is who. Further, they may have a different style of humor there...or maybe there is just some material that is lost in the translation, as there seems to be a lack of comic timing here and there or audience reaction.
American humor is different than Dutch humor.1 of the reasons is the people of America are different than the Dutch people... America is way much bigger than Holland ...its difficult to tell how and why the difference between America and Holland

@@fabiodelfrate Rose is from Assen, which is a city in the North; whereas Blanche is from Maastricht, a city in the South, where they speak with a distinguished accent and are predominantly Catholic When (I wanna say her sister?) visits, she actually speaks in a (fake) Limburg accent with her. (The reason it’s fake is because her actress isn’t from there) The show was set in Scheveningen or Noordwijk aan Zee; I’m not sure which one exactly
