Great video, so many people do not respect the water. When you don't, things can turn bad very fast.

Rick, always enjoyable & Informative. I am not running hard all the time so, I find my 2021 Z21 With a foot petal is comfortable. Nitro has provided a very nice left foot support which allows me to push back against my seat for stability. Additionally, I added a "Dowco cruise air seat" which Extends the seat back forward and provides me superior back support, especially since in this position steering wheel with both hands offers additional support and it really takes the punch out of those waves.
Unfortunately, I'm getting too old to use it.
    It was my last hurrah.
Please put out more Videos as I and others, i'm sure, really enjoy Your insights, tactics and advice. Good health to you sir. Thanks, Guy

Rick...my freind Ken Anthony told me a story back when he fished with you on Gumtersville out of maxx landing. This particular year it was a pro am tournament. Anyway, ken told back then your were running a hydrosport which back then had Kevlar hulls. Correct me if I am wrong about the make of that boat but anyway Ken said you were on fish up around north sauty and he remembers coming out of maxx landing in your boat and actually feeling the floor flex when you were running. Back then you guysbwere limited to only a 150 hp and Ken said he had never heard a 150 run like that. Anyway, Ken emphasized you talking to him before blast off and what you said in this video is exactly what I remember him telling me. By the way....those humps in Browns creek which is known as Rick clunn humps are still producing fish.....I have said to much already....Thanks Mr. Clunn for teaching so much over the years. Ken passed on to me what you taught him. I lost Ken about ten years ago but he taught me well through your teachings.

I remember those days when there were no cancelations. I fished several top 100s/150s. I believe it was Hurricane Hugo at the Potomac River tournament. Day three was canceled because NWS was reporting Washington DC to be in the bullseye. I believe that day was more calm than the last day. I believe Loyd Talent won the amateur side with the rat. Fun times. Thanks for sharing the excellent boat driving information. It makes sense. Take care.

Thank you Rick - we are so fortunate that you’re generous as to share your incredible insight, wisdom and hard-earned experience. I was your co-angler years ago on Champlain on a particularly nasty day, and your mastery of boat driving taught me volumes. Thank you so much.

I fished the 1991 BASS Masters Classic and they canceled one of the practice days. I’m pretty sure that’s the first day BASS ever canceled. I fished that St Lawrence event you won, typical Great Lakes monster waves, nothing like the Great Lakes.

Thank you Rick, SOLID ADVICE. I especially like what you say about situational awareness and absorbing those hits with your legs. May God bless you and yours.

If you like fishing especially tournament fishing this man is our Albert Einstein, Nikola Tesla, Webster's dictionary..... etc..etc... The point is this is an extremely humble, intelligent, sharing person that could rest on his accomplishments as the legend he is but he's still giving advice and educating people. @rickclunn543 I didn't have a problem. But some people struggle to hear over the background noise.
