Interracial dating is generally accepted in urban areas of Australia but may face some discrimination in more conservative or rural areas. Overall, Australia is a relatively diverse and tolerant society. I had a positive experience with the Out There dating app and found it helpful in finding more genuine and fascinating profiles. It's always a good idea to try different dating apps to find the one that works best for you and your preferences. Those looking for a date or serious relationship in Australia should give this app a try.
Didn't know you are from Embu. That's so close to my home town. That part where you had all your facts right for everything that you might be asked when you met his friends... only to discover they are accommodative is everything. To be accepted as you are is amazing!
I. Can't relate but I can just imagine..You are a strong woman and thank you for sharing your struggles, lessons and opinions. Also won't stop commending your calm voice😍
The congratulations must have been very weird. I remember when my friend posted she was dating a white and everyone was congratulating her. You should both get the congratulations coz you both found love 💖💖 I always love how calm you are when explaining things, I guess that's why your hubby learned Swahili faster.
True, my gf and I are an interracial couple too, I’m Italian and Puerto Rican and she’s african American and we’ve been profiled, followed and stared at in some places we go to, thankfully we live in Boston where safe anywhere we go in our city just seems rual areas are behind in times
Hi Adlyke! I shudder when I see thumb nails for vids like these. I fear my country and culture being misrepresented and mis read. If I can offer a small piece of advice to the readers of the comments below it is this. Don’t get cultural intrigue confused with racism. I am in an interracial marriage and am still learning about my wife’s culture. I don’t believe for a minute that Australians are as a collective are racist at all. Just curious about each other’s culture. If you are black in a white society you will turn as many heads as a 2 metre tall red headed white man in South East Asian village. You are different and can be seen as different. That’s not racism, that’s being exotic and mysterious and very intriguing. Enjoyed the video and please keep them coming.
I’m mixed race and from the US. And my I end things with partner because not only did he let his family say “fucking n*****s” in front of me but he let his family disrespect me. His family didn’t accept me and in fact they treated me like I didn’t exist. Never invited us over only him. When I did experience racism, he raged on me and told me it was in my head. I think that’s why it broke me down more than it wouldn’t had he supported and defended me. I was so isolated, he turned out to be a narcissist. He never wanted to take me out and do anything with me. By the end I became so depressed I could barely get out of bed and had to be on antidepressants.
That must have been very offensive of that woman sending the congratulatory to you and not to both of you, people are ignorant I tell you, but all in all colour doesn't matter,a relationship is a relationship, and you make such a beautiful couple.
In fact if I was told to congratulate one person between the white guy and the black African woman I would do so to the guy for winning the love of her. African women are awesome as wives especially Kenyans.
Been in an interracial relationships sounds too exausting, tiredsome, and draining. Especially with all the toxicities that are going on in the world, as a Black woman who grew up in Canada, and experience racism on a daily basis, l just don't have the energy to be fighting not only with the outside world, and the inside by been with a white man for me that would be way too much to deal with. The other problem bringing kids into this sick world, my perceptions of the world has shifted when l was younger l used to think eventually, things will get better, the world will be at peace one day, 30 plus years later, things are getting worst, human species are moving backwards instead of moving forward, the animals kingdom are more evolve than most human.
Oh Glad I totally understand your frustration. However people goodness is not really determined by their race. You can be with a man of your race and still experience hell on earth. I think it goes down to whether the person is good or right for you. Thanks so much for your input. Praying for 🙏
I'm white Australian. And have been married to my Ethiopian wife for 15 years. And I have 3 children with her. I'm not sure about where you live in Canada is like. I don't live there. But I've never had any racial difficulties with anyone with my wife. And I've never had any relationship difficulties in my relationship as I've seen some people claim with interracial relationship. Just treat each other as a human being. And it will work out no matter what.
Girl abeg rest. You are upbeat about everything. This one issue with North American continent. Move on , hatred among humans will continue till the day God decides to end the world.
I lived in Canada for most of my adult life before moving to Australia. What I can say is that it seems to me that interracial relationships are more common here than they were in North America. The USA is REALLY messed up that way, Canada not as bad but far from perfect. People mix easier here- I'm not sure why but they just do.
Oh really. I would actually expect to have more interracial couples in America since they have a bigger diverse population. Absolutely true Australians are pretty easy going. And thanks for watching 🙂
Which part of the USA are you talking about? Interracial relationships are very common lol everytime I go to the grocery story I see multiple couples and people with children of different races and its not like I live in LA or something. You have a really outdated view of the U.S.
@@Latte-girly90 When I worked in the US I went out with a girl from a Jamaican immigrant family. The only other "black and white" couple I can recall knowing, the "white" guy was English. In terms of Caucasian & East Asian mixed couples, yes that wasn't unusual. But relationships between Caucasian-Americans and African-Americans seemed to be few and far between and my impression is that this remains the case today.
@@stuartm2106 statistics wise 1.2% of the UK population are mixed race, while there are 2.9% in the US. There aren't any numbers on Australia but I can assume it's probably even less considering how less diverse it is. Once you leave the major cities it's pretty much completely white. I think people based the entire country off the one city they lived in. The USA is a big country one area might not be diverse but there are plenty of places that are

When the MSM trains you to see racism everywhere, you’ll see racism in the most mundane of things.
