I am a visual learner like many people in here. I have Asperger’s syndrome and I learn through art (which is why I love reading comic books and graphic novels.) Definitely a huge fan of what y’all are doing. I recently began to follow a lot of Dr. Michael Heisers work and he hits on a lot of the same kind of things that y’all do. He talks about the verse from revelation 21:1 in his book “Unseen realm” and how the “chaotic sea” will be dealt with finally in the end, so after watching this video I couldn’t help but think of some of the things he said. I’m extremely grateful for teachers like you guys and Michael Heiser, who are helping laymen Christians like myself understand the text more completely and in depth. May God bless your efforts!
I had a dream a few weeks ago about a dragon. In the dream I was watching this dragon go from city to city. He was breathing fire on each one. The next thing I am looking street level on where he breathed the fire. There was chaos everywhere. People looting, burning things, kinda like summer of love 2020. I woke up rebuking civil unrest. I hope everyone is staying watchful and prayerful. I felt like I should give this warning when I saw the title. Follow the prompting of the Holy Spirit. If you get a strong feeling you should not go to a certain place on a certain day or time pls listen. The Lord may just be saving your or your families lives.
It’s interesting to point out that the only image of God that God created for himself was a brass snake. Meaning, the Devil wants to be like the most high golden dragon, who is of fire instead of water.
@@justice8718very interesting interpretation, although I would argue that God is both of Fire and Water, He is described as an unquenchable fire & Jesus is called "the fount of living water" whereas the devil & the "dragons of chaos" represent the destructive side of these things. I also like that you use the dragon in a positive way, I don't normally see the dragon portrayed positively in Christian communities, I do know there is apocrypha text from the Book of Esther where Esther's uncle has a dream/vision of two dragons fighting each other, one good and one evil, at the end he realizes the good dragon repeated him & the evil one was his rival that was trying to get all the Jews killed
@@CrazyGamerDragon64 Christians have a heavy misunderstanding of serpents and dragons since they don’t realize that Lucifer is being called by what he wants to be, the most high God. Revelations 1 showcases Christ having elements of the brass snake (the image of God) in numbers 22. In turn, they don’t fully realize what God wants humans to be. Even though I know that Satan is called the dragon by God, I don’t feel comfortable doing it because it gives that little worm too much respect from my mouth. Especially when the Christian world looks at Satan and implies him to be the highest dragon to exist, when it is God who is.

YES.. there's something to be said of how greatly thoughtful creative sound design can enhance the message being spoken. Like at 3:35, that 'drum roll'-esque sound that builds up as they say 'God will one day defeat the dragon, once and for all.' and then it cuts out abruptly before any crescendo.... GAVE ME CHILLS.

@@HarryNicNicholas Of course, how else would we understand it? However, it is also good to have teachers, hence Rabbis in Israel during the post exile period. Once you reach a certain level, you rely solely on what scripture says, but it's great to have a baseline especially when you have many teachers or schools of thought which teach falsehoods.

@@klausehrhardt4481they don't follow Jesus. They don't believe that God the Father sent God the Son to die for our sins. They say that would be "child abuse" instead of God's plan of salvation. They also say that lots of God's laws that we aren't comfortable with are actually bad laws, but they are less bad than other laws of the time so that made them ok for then. These guys don't trust the Bible, they trust their own intellect.
I watched a video recently (likely yesterday), a movie clip mentioning the bible verses of Jesus cast out demon from the possessed man in the book of Matthew 8:28-32. The demon was casted out from the man and they entered the herd of pigs/swines and rushed down the steep… (In the movie they quoted the pigs entered ocean for their plots but in fact was lake in the bible), they also mentioned the scripture of Jesus walking on the ocean. They said ocean, from this perspective and context mentioned above, the larger body of water can be where they dwell - 🌊 is like the demon’s home on earth. Jesus walking on the ocean is claiming and showing to the demons who is the KING 👑! And then I wasn’t sure if they were accurate because they used it for a movie, not Bible teaching… but then I woke up this morning and this is the first thing I saw ❤. Praise the Lord for giving me wisdom, thank you Lord Jesus.

What they said about Daniel in this video is utter garbage. The book of Daniel specifically names 3 of those 4 beasts as a lion, bear, and leopard. Not a dragon. They just made that up. The Bible actually doesn't have a lot about a dragon, they just said it does so they can make a video people will be interested in. It's click bait.

@DaNNi2774 the Bible does mention dragons and doesn't call any of these dragons, so it is sensationalistic and click bait to label these as such. If they had generically called them "beasts" then that would have been fair. But that wouldn't grab the attention as much. Being "raised up on one side" may be different from a normal bear, but it sounds nothing at all like a dragon. Even if you want to argue the other two are chimeras because they have wings, and argument of "who knows? Maybe possibly perhaps, because we can't technically rule out dragons since we don't know what they look like" is a super weak argument to defend their calling all of these dragons. I suppose I could make a video about all the slime monsters in the Bible and include these creatures too, since nobody has actually seen a slime monster. If these were from the sea, maybe they were slimy ya know?

This is so good. I'm studying International Affairs and one of the theories/schools of thought we often touch on is called realism where at the international level its anarchy (everyone country acting for their own self interest and where everyone is living in constant anxiety). At the domestic level people gave up some of their freedoms to the "leviathan" through a social contact for protection and order giving rise to the government/state power. The point you guys touched on in terms of nations being described as beasts reminded me of Thomas hobbes and the leviathan form of government. Never made this connection until now. Going down a rabbit hole now 😅
Look at every government man has ever created. Were any of them good? Just? Or were they all corrupt and, eventually, collapsed in on themselves? Revelations talks of great dragons rising in the East and West, for example, that lead up to the third world war (which is in the Bible, again revelations). Good news is, it's a short *fiery* war before world peace for 10 years, under a one world government. The Christians think they won, but in reality, that is when the anti-Christ is supposed to reveal themselves into having tricked them. Then, things get real. I argue no man was ever meant to rule over another man. We are meant to be ruled by the Lord.

This was a drastic oversimplification but i loved the art in this. based on the title, i figured this would be about dinosaurs considering dragons were the name they used for them back before the term dinosaur was invented.
Just like how unicorns were actually cousins of a rhinoceros. A one horned Rhino which is now extinct. Mentioned in the Bible and confused for some mystical new age depiction.
I’m curious, could you guys post the Bible chapters and verses you used for this video? It’s an excellent breakdown, but some of it doesn’t sound like it’s straight from the Bible, so I was curious as to where you saw these parts about the “Chaos Dragon”.
The dragon is metaphorical, right? The dragon is Chaos itself-the natural order so many people overtaken by evil dream of restoring. (Basically, if it's darkness, it's from the dragon.)
It all ties back to Genesis 1:2. It comes from biblical poetry and the meaning of ancient Hebrew texts. There is so much connective symbolism in the Bible it's unreal (or real! 😉)

Too bad it's not also accurate. In daniel, 3 of the 4 beasts are labeled a lion, bear, and leopard. Not dragons. Dragons are rarely mentioned in the Bible. These guys are using illegitimate artistic license to get clicks.

Well, since we're here talking about it, I once had a dream about a 10-headed Dragon with long necks. I was brought up high in the sky, space if you will. I saw its body was so large it could barely hide behind the Earth. Its ten necks stretched out across the Earth and -- get this well! -- some heads intentionally attacked each other and drew people against one another. Wherever the heads fought, there was war between nations. These heads had influence like you wouldn't believe. There was one main head, concealed behind all the others, who told every head when to "play attack". Whatever people lay under such a head, they turned to each other. But in some places, in some nations, I saw the heads recoil in what looked like pain from being burned. Below some heads, I saw fires rise and gradually spread. First individual flames, but then they spread until they found each other. Then, in the vision, I was brought much closer to the Earth until I was as if right under one of the heads. The ground was slippery and murky, which I was told was oil ready to combust. But nobody lit a fire. And above, the sky was as if like a ceiling of earth (worldly things) that the dragon had covered over. Below it, the people were among the oil and wept and cried for help because nothing they did seemed to help. Then the sky, like the ceiling of earth, began to crack. Pressure began to build within, and cracks spread until from above came what looked like lava. As soon as it began hitting the oily ground, the earth was sent ablaze. The people became awake. And the crusty ceiling, which that dragon had covered over them, was completely destroyed as more and more fire spread. Then I was brought back out to 'space' again, and this time I saw how petrified, how much in pain, and how livid the 10-headed beast became. But it was most bitter and hateful, seething with anger, because it saw the flames and could do nothing about it. It knew it had lost hold over that spot on the Earth. And in that dream, the spot were some US states (not all, mind you), where the flames started. Europe remained dark as it was closest to the beast's body. The beast seemed unconcerned with Africa, and several of its heads lay over China and the Middle-East. The heads tried to keep rising people against one another, but the heads where this fire was lit recoiled in agony. And the nation where these fires were, it rose again to honour God's holy commandments and His leadership. And yes, the Beast is institutions like WEF, WHO and their allies. That much is clear now. But it's the powers behind them that we war against, and God calls His Followers, yes the nation that seeks to uphold His Word in word and action alike, He calls us to repentance and emptying out our old lives to be like candles refueled and relit for His Kingdom. For where the light burns, the Beast cannot yet touch! It will when it is time, but in this dream I saw that it was not yet. God is not yet done, people. He's about to show off how a good Father fights! Hallelujah!
This made me think of Jonah, when he also was 3 days in the belly of a sea creature. It's like a sort of reference to what would happen in the future. Those connections are amazing and it makes you dig deeper in the symbolism in the bible

Satan is sometimes referred to as a red dragon with 7 heads. Satan is connected to arch angels and snakes. But that doesn’t necessarily make those evil alone. So perhaps Good dragons exist in heaven? Just a theory. Either way it would be cool if they did.
Though dinosaurs aren't mentioned in the Bible I actually think the book of Genesis, the first starting books of the Bible, the 'talking snake' (the devil) is aetiological. The snake is representative of the dinosaur 'reptile' age that had been before. The snake as a dragon.

Yalls content makes concepts in the Bible so digestible. I’m writing a novel and my Jesus character is so hard to define and write because Jesus is mysterious, and I don’t always understand what He does or why, but this helps and actually just filled in a plot hole I’ve been stressing about. jesus is like the taichi. he takes in his environment, and lets the flow of the environment dictate his actions and speech. now what he has to learn is to use that flow to understand himself, and the direct principles that dictate the pattern
Interesting....... funny enough for some reason (lately) - I don't think the snake in the garden of eden was just a tree snake as it's depicted in many art and children books. For some reason I have come to believe that the serpent in the garden was actually a full size dragon. The image just fits in my mind. And perhaps the snake that we know today were originally a flying beast.
I love this beautiful visual depiction of the battle between Jesus and the enemy, as well as our role in the story! There are so many cool things in this vid, but 2:42 is absolutely amazing-Jesus in front of the dragon, seeing his reflection as a tall figure wearing a crown and bearing a sword. The dragon tempted Jesus by offering to give him rulership of the world, as shown in Luke 5:4-8. I did a little analysis based on this clip= You mentioned “dragon” being used to refer to tyrants. “Draconic” is used to refer to authoritarian states or figures. I am intrigued by the concept of slaying a dragon, then gradually becoming one, enticed by promises of power and glory. And the dragon’s promises of absolute power may appeal to a lot of people, but Jesus wasn’t that kind of King. The crown he wore was made of thorns, not gold and jewels. He didn’t sit on a throne, didn’t exalt himself; He was a servant leader who washed others’ feet. He didn’t judge others; He ate alongside sinners, people the world would have turned their nose up at and turned away. He forgave his executioners even as they scourged Him and beat Him, even as they nailed Him to the cross. And finally, He bore the weight of our sins and died for us so that we might be saved. *That* is what real power is. All praise to the One True King, Jesus Christ! 👑 ✝️ 🙏
Thank You, Lord, for this video! So my myth teacher is having us make mythological inspired shields for a project, and I wanted mine to represent something Biblical in some way (though I do not find Christianity to be a myth in any way). My dad and I picked out some stencils, and we decided on a dragon one wrapped around a sword. And I like dragons. I think they're cool. But then I was curious if dragons represented anything Biblical. So I looked it up, and the first result I got was "Satan". I was terrified. I couldn't bring myself to tell my dad, as he was already buying the stencils. I was extremely convicted. I couldn't have Satan on my shield, after all! But, of course, the Lord came through. This video came out when I got home from school that day. I watched it and realized that the dragon-wrapped sword represents that the Lord SLAYED the dragon! I just thought this was a really cool and encouraging story. The Lord really is a great Father. The greatest. By the way, I am making this comment again because the original upload of this video from November 2023 (when the shield project was assigned)
When i saw this video I almost cried with emotion. Not just because of the story, but because I'm a Christian filmmaker and I've long dreamed of seeing my brothers use this beautiful art to tell the deeds of our Lord. Praise the Lord!

I almost skipped this, because I though I already knew the subject.. But it reached into my heart, where I am in pain. As an artist, and knowing we are not to depict anything like Yeshua, Heaven or hell...I think this was not bad, but great cartooning. And I also got ananswer to why I am in torment. He has defeated death, so why am I still fighting the attackers ❤
Actually Jesus Christ took upon himself the wrath of God on the cross, and defeated sin and the dragon , not the way you have said it, that he was eaten by the dragon , Jesus took upon himself the "cup of wrath" which we deserve and he rose from death. Hallelujah

Even though I know that Satan is called the dragon by God, I don’t feel comfortable doing it because it gives that little worm too much respect from my mouth. Especially when the Christian world looks at Satan and implies him to be the highest dragon to exist, when it is God who is.

Like at 3:35, that 'drum roll'-esque sound that builds up as they say 'God will one day defeat the dragon, once and for all.' and then it cuts out abruptly before any crescendo.... GAVE ME CHILLS.

Once you reach a certain level, you rely solely on what scripture says, but it's great to have a baseline especially when you have many teachers or schools of thought which teach falsehoods.

They also say that lots of God's laws that we aren't comfortable with are actually bad laws, but they are less bad than other laws of the time so that made them ok for then. These guys don't trust the Bible, they trust their own intellect.

I watched a video recently (likely yesterday), a movie clip mentioning the bible verses of Jesus cast out demon from the possessed man in the book of Matthew 8:28-32. The demon was casted out from the man and they entered the herd of pigs/swines and rushed down the steep… (In the movie they quoted the pigs entered ocean for their plots but in fact was lake in the bible), they also mentioned the scripture of Jesus walking on the ocean.
They said ocean, from this perspective and context mentioned above, the larger body of water can be where they dwell - 🌊 is like the demon’s home on earth. Jesus walking on the ocean is claiming and showing to the demons who is the KING 👑!
And then I wasn’t sure if they were accurate because they used it for a movie, not Bible teaching… but then I woke up this morning and this is the first thing I saw ❤.
Praise the Lord for giving me wisdom, thank you Lord Jesus.

What they said about Daniel in this video is utter garbage. The book of Daniel specifically names 3 of those 4 beasts as a lion, bear, and leopard. Not a dragon. They just made that up. The Bible actually doesn't have a lot about a dragon, they just said it does so they can make a video people will be interested in. It's click bait.

@DaNNi2774 the Bible does mention dragons and doesn't call any of these dragons, so it is sensationalistic and click bait to label these as such. If they had generically called them "beasts" then that would have been fair. But that wouldn't grab the attention as much. Being "raised up on one side" may be different from a normal bear, but it sounds nothing at all like a dragon. Even if you want to argue the other two are chimeras because they have wings, and argument of "who knows? Maybe possibly perhaps, because we can't technically rule out dragons since we don't know what they look like" is a super weak argument to defend their calling all of these dragons. I suppose I could make a video about all the slime monsters in the Bible and include these creatures too, since nobody has actually seen a slime monster. If these were from the sea, maybe they were slimy ya know?

This is so good. I'm studying International Affairs and one of the theories/schools of thought we often touch on is called realism where at the international level its anarchy (everyone country acting for their own self interest and where everyone is living in constant anxiety). At the domestic level people gave up some of their freedoms to the "leviathan" through a social contact for protection and order giving rise to the government/state power. The point you guys touched on in terms of nations being described as beasts reminded me of Thomas hobbes and the leviathan form of government. Never made this connection until now. Going down a rabbit hole now 😅
Look at every government man has ever created. Were any of them good? Just? Or were they all corrupt and, eventually, collapsed in on themselves? Revelations talks of great dragons rising in the East and West, for example, that lead up to the third world war (which is in the Bible, again revelations). Good news is, it's a short *fiery* war before world peace for 10 years, under a one world government. The Christians think they won, but in reality, that is when the anti-Christ is supposed to reveal themselves into having tricked them. Then, things get real.
I argue no man was ever meant to rule over another man. We are meant to be ruled by the Lord.

This was a drastic oversimplification but i loved the art in this. based on the title, i figured this would be about dinosaurs considering dragons were the name they used for them back before the term dinosaur was invented.
Just like how unicorns were actually cousins of a rhinoceros. A one horned Rhino which is now extinct. Mentioned in the Bible and confused for some mystical new age depiction.
I’m curious, could you guys post the Bible chapters and verses you used for this video? It’s an excellent breakdown, but some of it doesn’t sound like it’s straight from the Bible, so I was curious as to where you saw these parts about the “Chaos Dragon”.
The dragon is metaphorical, right? The dragon is Chaos itself-the natural order so many people overtaken by evil dream of restoring. (Basically, if it's darkness, it's from the dragon.)
The Bible Project did an entire podcast on this. Search "Chaos Dragon". It's full of the Scripture references.
It all ties back to Genesis 1:2. It comes from biblical poetry and the meaning of ancient Hebrew texts. There is so much connective symbolism in the Bible it's unreal (or real! 😉)
Lewis and Tolkien knew about this. Eustace becoming a dragon himself and Aslan freeing him is now even more a powerful story

Too bad it's not also accurate. In daniel, 3 of the 4 beasts are labeled a lion, bear, and leopard. Not dragons. Dragons are rarely mentioned in the Bible. These guys are using illegitimate artistic license to get clicks.

Well, since we're here talking about it, I once had a dream about a 10-headed Dragon with long necks. I was brought up high in the sky, space if you will. I saw its body was so large it could barely hide behind the Earth. Its ten necks stretched out across the Earth and -- get this well! -- some heads intentionally attacked each other and drew people against one another. Wherever the heads fought, there was war between nations. These heads had influence like you wouldn't believe. There was one main head, concealed behind all the others, who told every head when to "play attack". Whatever people lay under such a head, they turned to each other.
But in some places, in some nations, I saw the heads recoil in what looked like pain from being burned. Below some heads, I saw fires rise and gradually spread. First individual flames, but then they spread until they found each other.
Then, in the vision, I was brought much closer to the Earth until I was as if right under one of the heads. The ground was slippery and murky, which I was told was oil ready to combust. But nobody lit a fire. And above, the sky was as if like a ceiling of earth (worldly things) that the dragon had covered over. Below it, the people were among the oil and wept and cried for help because nothing they did seemed to help.
Then the sky, like the ceiling of earth, began to crack. Pressure began to build within, and cracks spread until from above came what looked like lava. As soon as it began hitting the oily ground, the earth was sent ablaze. The people became awake. And the crusty ceiling, which that dragon had covered over them, was completely destroyed as more and more fire spread.
Then I was brought back out to 'space' again, and this time I saw how petrified, how much in pain, and how livid the 10-headed beast became. But it was most bitter and hateful, seething with anger, because it saw the flames and could do nothing about it. It knew it had lost hold over that spot on the Earth. And in that dream, the spot were some US states (not all, mind you), where the flames started. Europe remained dark as it was closest to the beast's body. The beast seemed unconcerned with Africa, and several of its heads lay over China and the Middle-East. The heads tried to keep rising people against one another, but the heads where this fire was lit recoiled in agony. And the nation where these fires were, it rose again to honour God's holy commandments and His leadership.
And yes, the Beast is institutions like WEF, WHO and their allies. That much is clear now. But it's the powers behind them that we war against, and God calls His Followers, yes the nation that seeks to uphold His Word in word and action alike, He calls us to repentance and emptying out our old lives to be like candles refueled and relit for His Kingdom. For where the light burns, the Beast cannot yet touch! It will when it is time, but in this dream I saw that it was not yet. God is not yet done, people. He's about to show off how a good Father fights! Hallelujah!
A great way to remind us not to use the devices of the devil. The weapons of our warfare are very different!
This made me think of Jonah, when he also was 3 days in the belly of a sea creature. It's like a sort of reference to what would happen in the future. Those connections are amazing and it makes you dig deeper in the symbolism in the bible

Satan is connected to arch angels and snakes.
But that doesn’t necessarily make those evil alone.
So perhaps Good dragons exist in heaven?
Just a theory.

Though dinosaurs aren't mentioned in the Bible I actually think the book of Genesis, the first starting books of the Bible, the 'talking snake' (the devil) is aetiological. The snake is representative of the dinosaur 'reptile' age that had been before. The snake as a dragon.
Or, it was an actual creature used by the Deceiver to tempt Eve.

I’m writing a novel and my Jesus character is so hard to define and write because Jesus is mysterious, and I don’t always understand what He does or why, but this helps and actually just filled in a plot hole I’ve been stressing about. jesus is like the taichi. he takes in his environment, and lets the flow of the environment dictate his actions and speech. now what he has to learn is to use that flow to understand himself, and the direct principles that dictate the pattern

Interesting....... funny enough for some reason (lately) - I don't think the snake in the garden of eden was just a tree snake as it's depicted in many art and children books. For some reason I have come to believe that the serpent in the garden was actually a full size dragon. The image just fits in my mind. And perhaps the snake that we know today were originally a flying beast.

2:42 is absolutely amazing-Jesus in front of the dragon, seeing his reflection as a tall figure wearing a crown and bearing a sword. The dragon tempted Jesus by offering to give him rulership of the world, as shown in Luke 5:4-8.

You mentioned “dragon” being used to refer to tyrants. “Draconic” is used to refer to authoritarian states or figures. I am intrigued by the concept of slaying a dragon, then gradually becoming one, enticed by promises of power and glory. And the dragon’s promises of absolute power may appeal to a lot of people, but Jesus wasn’t that kind of King. The crown he wore was made of thorns, not gold and jewels.
He didn’t sit on a throne, didn’t exalt himself; He was a servant leader who washed others’ feet. He didn’t judge others; He ate alongside sinners, people the world would have turned their nose up at and turned away. He forgave his executioners even as they scourged Him and beat Him, even as they nailed Him to the cross. And finally, He bore the weight of our sins and died for us so that we might be saved. *That* is what real power is.

Thank You, Lord, for this video! So my myth teacher is having us make mythological inspired shields for a project, and I wanted mine to represent something Biblical in some way (though I do not find Christianity to be a myth in any way). My dad and I picked out some stencils, and we decided on a dragon one wrapped around a sword. And I like dragons. I think they're cool. But then I was curious if dragons represented anything Biblical. So I looked it up, and the first result I got was "Satan". I was terrified. I couldn't bring myself to tell my dad, as he was already buying the stencils. I was extremely convicted. I couldn't have Satan on my shield, after all! But, of course, the Lord came through. This video came out when I got home from school that day. I watched it and realized that the dragon-wrapped sword represents that the Lord SLAYED the dragon! I just thought this was a really cool and encouraging story. The Lord really is a great Father. The greatest. By the way, I am making this comment again because the original upload of this video from November 2023 (when the shield project was assigned)
When i saw this video I almost cried with emotion. Not just because of the story, but because I'm a Christian filmmaker and I've long dreamed of seeing my brothers use this beautiful art to tell the deeds of our Lord. Praise the Lord!

I almost skipped this, because I though I already knew the subject.. But it reached into my heart, where I am in pain. As an artist, and knowing we are not to depict anything like Yeshua, Heaven or hell...I think this was not bad, but great cartooning. And I also got ananswer to why I am in torment. He has defeated death, so why am I still fighting the attackers ❤
