As a returnee viewer, the pace of storylines just seems remarkable. Carla/Lisa seemed to build up over time but since they got together, there has been too many plot devices in a short space of time. There is enough between them to explore first, such as explaining Carla's feelings around the relationship, Lisa moving on after grief etc. Chuck in brain surgery and police investigations into previous partner murders, all in a week, and there is too much to explore meaning its not done well. Seems like this is a wider issue in the show, which is sad as there are glimpses of good Corrie in the middle of the crazy pacing, over inflated cast, and police/hospital stuff.
I would also riot in the streets if Tim and Sally broke up. And I swear I made the same joke about him not being able to spell right before Helen did
