Spent 7 hours today catfishing. Hit the deepest hole in my area on the river, hit 2 dams and a spot that usually produces for me. Not a single bite all day, these winter months surely are rough. Luckily I get to watch you catch some hawgs to sort of relieve that itch for catching some fish. Hope you enjoyed your vacation Justin!
I truly don't belive I could have resisted using that dink blue for cut bait after he knocked my crappie off. Thanks for taking us on another great adventure, and for all the time you put into making us quality videos. That channel cat as bad as I hate to say this deserved some front camera time. That size and quality are definitely few and far between in East TN.
Heya Justin. Winter Catfishing, here we go. I'm switching over to yellow bass and large threadfins, and nothing but afternoon fishing. Wish I could run across some gizzard shad. Should be an okay week weather wise.
My gosh! I think I won the platinum trophy when I catch a crappie bigger than 15 inches, and here you are making it look like it’s another normal day catching MONSTER SLABS! Hahaha! Good video Justin….. until I seen that dang dole channel cat! What the heck?? …. Just kidding man. Yet another good video. 🤙🏼
lol, gave a channel cat front camera time. The worlds gone haywire. Looked like u had a good time down South. Glad to see u after the cats again. Stay safe Justin…. And stay away from them danged ol channel cats….
I'm so glad that you are home safe!! Great to see you. Since you are using bait big enough to have dinner on I hope you get a golly woper using him for bait. God bless 🙏 you my brother let's have some fun!! Great to see you 😊!!
Great video Justin …. Surprised to see front camera time with a channel cat !! Up here in Connecticut, the channel cats are the big catfish. We do not have blues or flatheads. I finally caught my first monster channel cat this September. It was 35 inches long. I emailed CT DEEP fisheries with pictures and a video. They informed me that the state record was 29 pounds. I wish I had a scale. Anyways, glad you had a great vacation. Stay warm! Dan
thanks for the vid J hope you are having a blessed week bro. love the vids where we get to catch the bait and use it all in the same trip. that was a huge ole slab there, hopefully things pick up soon but even if they dont i dang sure enjoy each vid you put out. i seen there was some very sever weather with devastating tornados. I'd be lying if i did not say i was dang sure thinking about you and your family. i very grateful your side of the state did not get it as bad but very sadden for all the damage done in Hendersonville and Clarksville. hurts my heart to see people loose everything even worst this close to Christmas. for sure sending positive healing vibes to the state glad yall are ok
Nice to see you home safe! Hope the tornadoes missed you. Nice Channel cat for that area. Swinging for the fences with that 15 inch crappie, NICE video!!
Hey Justin, I’m glad to see you made it back from your vacation. But so far I’ve seen two of your trips for Peacock, bass and bluegill, but only one for sharks. Were the sharks not biting or you got more videos to come?😎
Nice video, sorry the slab didn’t catch you what you wanted. I’ve bought some gear they Catfish Sumo, especially your signature rods, so I’m just about ready for a Kayak. If you know of a Hobie for sale please let me know. I’m a big boy, so I need the weight capacity plus stability. Thanks
QUESTION: Justin, have you ever been Ice Fishing?🧊🎣 If Yes, could you please give details, and if No, would you ever? Lord, you just gave that Yellow Bass a headache with that Rod-Holder!😂🤣
@KayakCatfish I'm conflicted with it. Sometimes I think it'd be fun because of the simplicity of it. Then I think about the freezing cold and fear of falling through the ice. So I'm torn.😆
The lesson I take from this is don't use a stinger fly on a monster live bait when all you want to catch is a monster. Those Flys work but they will let smaller fish get caught.
I find it hilarious that you get so flustrated with channel cats. I have caught many from 28 inches to 40 inches. I understand about where you are,the bigger ones don't hang out mostly in the types of area ,where you fish. You should get a Award for putting a channel up ,on the front camera 😅😅😅😅.
Yes that was a nice bait fish. Now You need to get your Dog and head out to that pond. Yes I know you said you have to wait for a company to send her a bike. Now you are a big guy. how about a foot race instead of only racing with Bikes? Or are you afraid Daphine with make you look OLD??? Oh you had a nice Florida Trip. but you are nuts with a Kayak getting dragged way out there by a Shark. The last time with the Hammerhead that SOB Took you way out. Like they said in the Movie JAWS. I think when you do that you need a bigger boat. Take care Mr J.
That's not how you rig a bait that large. At least two hooks, maybe three. Forehead or low lip, dorsal and one low, aft of the vent. Don't be shy about runnin thru the gill going from lip to back, either. That makes it near impossible to lose. Hook enough skin and shallow meat to hide the whole shank of the hook when you pull it thru to the eye. In the right place on a fish the hook cant turn to blind itself, diagonal thru the edges. Turn one to curve the other way as well, big prey is almost always eaten head first so you have to think of that whenever you rig a large one up.
Does it help you watching commercials all the way through? I am a cheapskate! But I would probably watch all of them if I knew! I'm also ignorant, obviously! If you don't ask, you will never know!
I honestly don’t know. I would recommend skipping through them though. No need to sit through all that stuff. Just you watching the videos means a lot to me.
@KayakCatfish thanks, cause I would watch them if it helped. I had to ask. If you don't ask, you will never know. Thank you for all your videos, I really love them. My dream is to get out of commy Illinois and move to South Pittsburgh, by Nickajack! Love Tennessee!
Why would u not throw that back in the water??? Thats messed up!!! 15" crappie is huge!!! catfish are garbage fish!!!! u should cut them up and use for bait!!!
Gtfo of here ass, us catfisherman don't give a crap, if it's legal to use, it's legal to use, 17 and 18 inch crappies are big. Like most rivers now, fish are not really edible if you care about health. Don't be a hater for what's legal. Change the laws, then.
+joemurray9131 Cats are not trash fish except them dang bait stealing Bullheads. Now Bluegills or bait stealin abominations as I call them are trash fish. I hate them with a passion.
Glad you had a great time in FL, but good ro see ya back in TN we have missed ya.
Lordy days, what is this world coming to when a channel cat gets front camera time. Never thought I'd see the day after all these years😂
What 😲😲😀😂
I mean what's wrong with you

Thanks Quentin! Hope your next trip goes better.
I love it. Watching you catch the bait and then catch the cats. Way cool Justin your the best. Great video live scan way cool.

Glad your back and brother that was one of the biggest channel Cats I've ever seen.

I'm so glad that you are home safe!! Great to see you. Since you are using bait big enough to have dinner on I hope you get a golly woper using him for bait. God bless 🙏 you my brother let's have some fun!! Great to see you 😊!!

Thanks James! Fortunately we didn’t have any storm damage in my area.
Nice to see you home safe! Hope the tornadoes missed you. Nice Channel cat for that area. Swinging for the fences with that 15 inch crappie, NICE video!!
I laughed so hard when you talk about that the crappie in his family😂😂😂
Beautiful crappie for winter time
Hello Justin, no big cats, but that channel cat was impressive. Take care and good luck. 👍
U have an amazing conversation. Hours U can go on... Entertaining
great video. nice crappie, and channel cat. if you are outside enjoying the day it's a good day. stay safe.
Love the videos
Can’t believe you did that crappie like that. Wow!
Thanks for another interesting video man. Not every day that the giants come out to play - that's life.
Back to the catfish. Wish you had better weather down here in Florida, hope you caught a few more sharks off camera.
The wind was tough that week but I did catch a few more sharks. Unfortunately no hammerheads though.
Welcome back Justin
Hell has frozen over! Justin put a dirty ol channel on the front Canera.
Can you tell me about your Livescope setup? Components? How it is setup under the kayak?
I just made to Nashville
Hey Justin, I’m glad to see you made it back from your vacation. But so far I’ve seen two of your trips for Peacock, bass and bluegill, but only one for sharks. Were the sharks not biting or you got more videos to come?😎
As I explained at the end of the shark video, I filmed for two days and took the rest of the week for me
@@KayakCatfish sorry I guess I wasn’t paying good attention at the end. Either that or I’m really getting old and forgetting things take care.
What reels are you using on the golly whopper rod and lb test line
Nice video, sorry the slab didn’t catch you what you wanted. I’ve bought some gear they Catfish Sumo, especially your signature rods, so I’m just about ready for a Kayak. If you know of a Hobie for sale please let me know. I’m a big boy, so I need the weight capacity plus stability. Thanks
Thanks Wally! Hope you like the rods. Facebook marketplace is a great place to find deals on Hobies. There are usually a ton of them listed on there.
Nice video beautiful place hope you have a merry Christmas
Sally Struthers!! LOL!!!
Front camera crappie
love your videos man! how are you keeping your kayak in place and not getting tossed about by the wind? An anchor?
Spot lock
How heavy are those big egg weights you got on your catfish rods in the back?
8 ounces
I guess I need to make a trip down and give you some lessons on how to fish your river 😂
I wouldn't mind catching bait stealers like that all day long ! 😂👍👍
And a channel cat finally steals the show!!! I'm in Illinois. We've got several lakes with 25lb+ channels.
Where? I can't find any over 3lbs. 😅
QUESTION: Justin, have you ever been Ice Fishing?🧊🎣
If Yes, could you please give details, and if No, would you ever?
Lord, you just gave that Yellow Bass a headache with that Rod-Holder!😂🤣
Never been ice fishing. It isn’t something I have ever been interested in
@KayakCatfish I'm conflicted with it. Sometimes I think it'd be fun because of the simplicity of it. Then I think about the freezing cold and fear of falling through the ice. So I'm torn.😆
Which river do you fish in if you don't mind
Usually the Tennessee river!
THANK YOU

That is a very nice channel cat😊
Channel cat love!
Welcome to Kayak Crappie 😂
So far the fish have been smarter than you lol.love your vids.
That was a good channel
Thanks Keith!
Nice 👍
I went over the Cumberland River
That big crappie should be swimming in crisco
That's fishin.😅
I know you dislike channel cats but that's one of the biggest one's I've seen you catch
That was the biggest channel cat I ever seen
Texas we have channel catfish that can get up to 30 pounds
Awesome video
Thought you’d learned by now. Cut that fly off when u have a premium live bait lol
God dang that’s a monster for a channel cat.
,I just came back from Tennessee
Okay thanks
The fried crappie sandwiches that could have made 😢😢😢
right!
At least the one that ate the fly, was not a channel cat!
I love catfish but a 15 inch crappie is going in my frying pan
Yes that was a nice bait fish. Now You need to get your Dog and head out to that pond. Yes I know you said you have to wait for a company to send her a bike. The dog just got a new bike the other day. We will be filming a video at that pond again soon.
When you use that big of a bait cut thag stinger off lol
💯❤️
Check a big cat
Crappie got front camera you know it’s a tag.

Crappie looks as big as a Bass

Imagine wasting crappie just to catch and release catfish....
I'm not sure why you are fishing with crappies....knowing you it's to piss off the crappie angler's 😂😂😂
Why would u not throw that back in the water??? Thats messed up!!! 15" crappie is huge!!! catfish are garbage fish!!!! u should cut them up and use for bait!!!
I'd trade 2 15" crappie for 1 32" catfish any day.
Gtfo of here ass, us catfisherman don't give a crap, if it's legal to use, it's legal to use, 17 and 18 inch crappies are big. Like most rivers now, fish are not really edible if you care about health. Don't be a hater for what's legal. Change the laws, then.
Ur garbage, why would come on a catfish channel talkin bout crappie?
Such harsh words, CATFISH ARE NOT TRASH FISH.....BUCK-O
+joemurray9131 Cats are not trash fish except them dang bait stealing Bullheads. Now Bluegills or bait stealin abominations as I call them are trash fish. I hate them with a passion.
That's dinner and not bait for a catfish that your not gonna keep or eat.
