The closest bins to me are about an hour away, and not it a great area, so I've never gone to them. I wish we had better options for them. Those sandals are so cute!!! That Eddie Bauer sweatshirt jacket looks so nice and cozy for winter. I love that black dress! That vintage sweater is too cute!!! Those denim shorts are cute, and a great find for people who don't want super short shorts. Great haul for your first time at these bins and for going later in the day!
My Depop shop is also curated with mostly vintage or style based pieces. Don’t know if you’ve noticed yet, people make offers and don’t pay a lot of the time over there.. but I still like selling on that platform. 😊
Jacksonville IL was $1.59 lb, but tomorrow July 1st they are jumping up to $1.89 lb. When they 1st opened it was only 99 cents lb. I miss those days! lol
I live in NC but my husband does contract work in Charleston so I travel with him once or twice a month to thrift while he works. I don't really like Goodwill's in that area for all the reasons you said but here are the best stores to shop at (in my opinion). The Community Thrift Store in Charleston is #1. I consistently find excellent stuff there and even though they mark some stuff stupid high ( NWT, Lilly Pulitzer, etc.) most things are reasonably priced and they regularly markdown older color tags so I can often find things for only $1 to $2. It is by far my favorite! Closet Case Thrift Store is a pretty good one. It is a smaller store and their prices are higher than average but they do get some good things and if you sign up for their text list they will send a coupon about once a month for 25% to 50% off your total purchase which helps to bring the cost down. Recycled Love is another one I will stop by if I have time, Again, not a huge store but the prices are pretty good and they usually have a color tag that is 5 items for $3. It is in a pretty rough area though. And I believe they are in the process of trying to move so I don't know how that will affect the shopping process. I used to go to the bins in Charleston when I would travel there but I'm not a fan of the location. It's a small location and they only partially fill the bins. When they do rotations they only rotate 4 or 5 bins at a time and there are a couple of the regulars who will scoop an entire bin full into their cart and then go off to sort it, so it doesn't leave much for everyone else. They also don't do rotations frequently enough to keep it fresh and interesting. Because I would get dropped off by my husband I would be there for 3-4 hours and most of the time I was walking around in circles because I had already looked through everything. Now I go to the Community Store instead. I know this was long but I hope it helps :)
@@CottagevilleCozies not my personal experience but I’ve just watched this super cute reseller couple who also praised that Community Thrift store in Charleston, plus as far as I know they thrift a lot in SC. Their channel is Rad Resell. Might worth to check it. 😊
i live in summerville ! i didnt know you literally moved to summerville itself lol i do well with 1 or 2 of the goodwills but yes we dont have discounts or sales so it sucks. bins isnt too awful but deff not amazing a lot of the time . hope your still enjoying it here a little! rotations start when they open and typically end around 2 ish but honestly it depends on how many volunteers they have that day. weekdays are better in my opinion. be glad you came after we finally got regular carts cus before we just had rectangle bins on wheels lol we do have a style encore, platos, and once upon a child all right by eachother like you mentioned but i dont have crazy luck with them
@@CottagevilleCozies yea idk if you had to use the ones they keep by the register to weigh your stuff but they do keep one or 2 up there cus the scale isn’t calibrated to the actual carts. Glad you guys are enjoying it! Reselling is my full time job I usually order online I only thrift once every 2 weeks but it’s getting hot and the bins can get pretty toasty during summer so stay cool! Love your videos ❤️
I feel like each bins location is different for the switch out. Columbus is around 730/8, but I’ve been to locations where what they put out for the day is what is available and they never switch anything.
I think the GWs in Chas are pulling the good stuff for their own online stores. There’s no way, with the number of wealthy people in Chas, that their GWs should be so full of nothing. I live 50 miles south of Chas and don’t even bother going there to thrift anymore. It’s a frustrating experience every time I try.

sooo cute!! was so shocked no one took it!
@@CottagevilleCozies I thought your haul was amazingly good even though the bins had been thoroughly picked.

oh very interesting!!
It is 1.79 a pound.
I recommend you do not steam waxed cotton!! I ruined an amazing jacket by doing this. It left white streaks all over the fabric. 😢
thank you for the tip!! i haven't done anything with it yet hoping you guys would give me some good advice haha!
