- One of my scenic Hampshire walks in the Itchen Valley and around the parkland of a grand house. Taking in a fine selection of twelfth century Norman churches.
Starts and finishes at The Cricketers Inn OR The Chestnut Horse, Easton. 4.5 miles approx.

Grate walk rob
The site of North Stoneham House is not actually covered by houses.Much of the parkland is,but the where the house was is not far from the lake. Some stonework is still visible and the basements are open to the air now.Sadly the site is private.I managed to look around the site some years ago
As a kid we were always around the lakes and you're right the house was back beyond the church.👍

Super walk Rob. Love all the thatched cottages and, of course, the river. The Bat & Ball was indeed once a pub...closed in the early 20th century I believe.
Thanks Dave. Thought so.
Traditionally good.thanks rob.

I did part of this walk last week so I thought I'd watch. Firstly, there is no George 7th post box in Easton. Possibly Edward the 7th?
Otherwise, with regard to the political observations, I would think that all random events, by their very nature, could be regarded as an injustice.
Slip of the tongue.
