I have this revlon root booster and it’s much much better than the original revlon one styler. It does neither pull my hair nor my hair get caught in it. I love it so much.
Wow Julissa I love the curls that you got with the Revlon Root Booster! I would love to see you try the Root Booster on all of your hair just to see how it will work on your more curlier side. Your hair turned out stunning, love all the volume.💖👌
More than anything I would be concerned about the loudness of both products. I used to blow dry my hair, everyday, for years and now have ringing in my ears. The hairdryer was the only LOUD shrill I was exposed to everyday, and I believe the hairdryer was the cause. A suggestion … find a not so loud device and/or use some type of ear plugs while using loud devices to prevent hearing problems.
I’ve never thought about a concern like this, thank you so much for sharing. I’m only 21 and sometimes have ringing in my ears, never even thought about the sound of heat appliances affecting my hearing years from now !
I think Dyson needs more improvement on the air wrap. Like let us buy the base unite with our choices of attachments. We all have different preferences for our curls and hair length.
i know they don't let you buy only the attachments you want, but they do have a "customize" function on their site that has a quiz you answer about your hair. this allowed me to buy the longer curling attachments and only the larger barrels because i have very long hair.
Thanks for your frequent call outs to Dyson to come up with a bigger round brush!! I too loved the Revlon original until I realized just how much it had damaged my hair. And while I feel my hair is slowly recovering with the Dyson, I simply cannot get the same smoothing effect with that tiny round brush:(
HELP> dyson vs. revlong. pls help guys. i have thick, coarse, 3b curly hair that ive been straihgten for a while: flat iron 2 years, revlon for a year. i have so much heat damage despite usong the revlong for the past year along with hair oiling and hair masks weekly. so many split ends and so much breakage. i assume the revlon is better than the titanium flat iron i used earlier, and its wayy faster too. but... it is causing damage, so i bought the dyson. pls help me. idk if i should return it. actually, my mom bought it for me bc im a kid. but idk if its worth it. i tried the round brush attachment once and here is my verdict: my roots are wayyyy flatter than from the revlong bc of the smaller barrel. used less time than the revlon. **someone whose used both can u tell me if the dyson is heat damaging? or if youve only used the dyson on curly hair, have u noticed heat damage???? pls help me. ill feel rly guilty if i waste my mom's money. it's ONLY worth it to me if the round brush dyson is less HEAT DAMAGING than the revlon. i like using the curling barells, but that's not why i bought it.
I started using the original revlon since 2018. It always got super hot and would get smoky and eventually my first one stopped working. The next one I bought was hot but it didn’t stop working. I love the way it works on my hair. I have thick, curly hair, and I like to get a bouncy but sleek blowout. Which the revlon gives me every time, in a short amount of time. Fast forward to 2021, I got the Dyson as a birthday gift from my family. I was so excited because I thought it was the best dryer on the market. Instead I have to do tiny sections, and that doesn’t give the big bouncy effect I want. I’ve tried every trick and every attachment combo with the Dyson and I just cannot get as good as a result as I do with the Revlon which is hundreds of dollars cheaper. I’d rather buy a new revlon every other year and like how my hair looks than have a frizzy Dyson mess. But at least I got mine as a gift and didn’t pay for it!

Hi Julissa ❤, Thank you for the comparison with these hair tools. I prefer the Revlon side because you got a lot more shine and smoothness. Your work is always appreciated. Thanks 💕!
Both sides look the same, only difference is that you curled the ends on the Dyson side outward and the revlon side inward which is why the Dyson side looks like it has more volume.
I don’t use the Revlon brush anymore, the heat was damaging my hair. I switched to the Dyson, my hair has less splits ends and it looks more healthy overall.

Going to try it. Purchasing tomorrow. Thanks for using.Make sure you buy from Ulta and save the box. If you don’t like it return it even if you have used it.
I just wanted to thank you, Jelissa, for sharing the comparison videos!! Instead of paying 750 CAD for Dyson, I got Revlon for 60, and I'm in WOW with the result! This round dryer is amazing for my curly hair and doesn't leave any freez on it. So efficient dryer Thanks again 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Why is the Dyson brush so short. Overall Dyson is a amazing. But I do think they let themselves down with the Roundhead attachment. The Dyson side should have blown the Revlon away
I thought so until I used it for myself. For me, I’ve been blow drying my hair for 10 years and with the Dyson my hair is bouncier, super shiny, and FEELS much healthier. I also last an extra day between washes.
I got this during the Black Friday sale. I’m worried that I held it in place too long because I’d switch to cool and hold the dryer waiting for the curl too cool.
Your hair is beautiful... It would help you to get your hair smoother if you do your curly side first. If you let it start to air dry curly, it will be harder to smooth out. I have super curly hair and a cosmetologist, just a tip from my experience.... & you're right, the barrel is too small, it could be ripping the hair.
The dyson looks the same for me and then puffs up later on in the day- my hair usually blow dries really well but for some reason the results dont last with the dyson
I prefer the bristles of the root buster over the other brushes that have a combination of bristles. My hair is curly aflo like a 3c and this blower brush gets it pretty straight.
Juli- this is an interesting comparison… I noticed that the Dyson side was more work with a healthy, but not so sleek look. Wondering how that side would look after a 4 hour wear test? I really want that Revlon tool!!! Ofcourse, heat protection is a must!!! But it is really nice. Have you tried blow drying on cool afterward you finish the blowout? For me, it seems to make it last longer while making it more shiny. The cool setting also gives your roots volumn with less damage.

Hi Julissa, thanks for all your videos. I had a couple of questions, did the revlon stop smoking so much as you continued to use it? Also, can you do a review on dual voltage hair dryer brushes please or link me to the ones that you recommend. Thanks ❤🌻😊
Hi Julissa! I love your videos. Always so informative! I’m so happy that you’re reviewing the new Revlon Root Booster. I was wondering if you could do a comparison of this Root Booster and the new Revlon One-Step Plus. I know that they’re both different especially with the results but I’d love to hear which you’d prefer between the two and which is less damaging but gives an amazing look.
Have you tried using the smoothing brushes on the dyson? I’m able to get a nice blowout on my curly hair with the firm smoothing brush. The key is to maintain tension and brush the hair from multiple angles slowly.
This is a great video. Thank you for posting it. I like the Revlon side a lot better. I had the Dyson air wrap and it stopped working at just 2 1/2 years old. Dyson was no help at all with their service or support. I definitely would not recommend the Dyson and would not buy it again. I’m going to go out and get the Revlon root booster because I have curly hair like you and I think it’ll be a perfect option. Don’t waste your money on Dyson!
Hy Julissa You look beautiful like always. I like both sides. If i have to choose i prefer the Revlon side. It looks really pretty. The price is also so much affordable. Revlon is so good. I am waiting to see when will the Revlon Plus be on sale so I could buy one. Great video as always keep up the good job God bless you always 💕
I have the dyson no damage, I use smoothing or firm brush, sometimes I do round brush all my hair. Healthy of my hair for me is so important all that smoke of revlon and the hot it gets . Worry me a lot

Revlon has abandoned their one step styler flat brush 😞 I keep waiting for them to upgrade it and fix the fact that the heat only comes from the top but NOPE. They upgrade the round brush stylers, this is like the 3rd upgrade but my 4c hair don’t like round brushes
Wow I really like that revlon dryer, yea That is so weird that the Dyson air wrap round brush attachment is way too small ! I would love to know if using the revlon dryer again will be as smoky, because I feel like my volumizer one was only smoky in the beginning when it was new 🤔
I mainly use it to curl my hair with the curling barrels and I use it mostly in the colder fall/winter months when my hair doesn’t get frizzy 💕 hope this helps!

Dyson airwrap gives much better results. Just use the smoothening brush first to smoothen the roots and dry the hair and then use round brush.
Why is the Dyson brush so short. Overall Dyson is a amazing. But I do think they let themselves down with the Roundhead attachment. The Dyson side should have blown the Revlon away
The Dyson side looked healthy and beautiful 🤩
So crazy how expensive the Dyson is to not give great results compared to other low end dryers
I thought so until I used it for myself. For me, I’ve been blow drying my hair for 10 years and with the Dyson my hair is bouncier, super shiny, and FEELS much healthier. I also last an extra day between washes.
Me sitting here with my pin straight hair loving your natural curls but also loved the smooth look!
Hot Tools brand has this brush head and it’s detachable. I personally love it.
I got this during the Black Friday sale. I’m worried that I held it in place too long because I’d switch to cool and hold the dryer waiting for the curl too cool.
I like the revolt side better. Looks more together 🥰
Yes! This is the comparison I've been looking for!
Ooooh I’ve been waiting for this one. I bought the t3 micro because u recommended it and now I can’t wait to hear what u have to say about this one !
Yess! Same! I agree!
Wow! That alone will dissuade me from buying it.
For me, i completely disagree. My hair is SO sleek and shiny.
I agree I’m watching videos but I think I’m going to have to return it I’m seeing better reviews for the Revlon
Looking good revlon side but the dyson for hair health benefits is way better. Do you think the dyson is worth in a humid tropical weather?
Revlon all the way! WOW!!! Never considered buying this but ima gonna have to look into this! ❤️ 🤩
Yes yes I m totally agree with you. Dyson should come up with new attachment for long hair . Please please dyson 🙏🙏🤲🏻
I prefer the bristles of the root buster over the other brushes that have a combination of bristles.
My hair is curly aflo like a 3c and this blower brush gets it pretty straight.
Hola Julissa, podes comparar el nuevo one step plus con en root booster (ambos revlon)
Hi dear.. May I know, which one you recommend better for thick hair? Revlon one step dryer or revlon root booster? 😊
Juli- this is an interesting comparison…
I noticed that the Dyson side was more work with a healthy, but not so sleek look.

Thanks for your videos .. How is the Revelon experience with you so far in terms of hair damage due to heat ? And from your experience which one from the revelon is less damaging ? and suitable for curly hair

San Francisco fan girl loves the Revlon side!
Great informative video. Do you know if the Revlon uses boar bristles?
This is a great video. Thank you for posting it. I like the Revlon side a lot better. I had the Dyson air wrap and it stopped working at just 2 1/2 years old. Dyson was no help at all with their service or support. I definitely would not recommend the Dyson and would not buy it again. I’m going to go out and get the Revlon root booster because I have curly hair like you and I think it’ll be a perfect option. Don’t waste your money on Dyson!
Arent you supposed to semi dry your hair before using either of these?
Hy Julissa You look beautiful like always. I like both sides. If i have to choose i prefer the Revlon side. It looks really pretty. The price is also so much affordable. Revlon is so good. I am waiting to see when will the Revlon Plus be on sale so I could buy one. Great video as always keep up the good job God bless you always 💕
Doesn’t the Revlon Root Booster have a lower heat setting on it??
I have the dyson no damage, I use smoothing or firm brush, sometimes I do round brush all my hair. Healthy of my hair for me is so important all that smoke of revlon and the hot it gets . Worry me a lot

I was wondering if the bristles of the revlon root booster hurt/irritate your scalp?
I love my dyson air wrap because of my coarse wavy curly hair it gives it a more smoother and shines appearance. I do wish they made the round brush longer.

Definitely Revlon side looks better
Please compare it with the revlon one step 🙏🏼🙏🏼
I like them both but the dyson is a winner overall for me.
Revlon has abandoned their one step styler flat brush 😞
I keep waiting for them to upgrade it and fix the fact that the heat only comes from the top but NOPE.
They upgrade the round brush stylers, this is like the 3rd upgrade but my 4c hair don’t like round brushes
Do you think you could curl your hair with the revlon plus like you do with the root booster?
Maybe you could get a bit of a wave but not much of a curl because the brush is a lot bigger 💕
I like the way the Revlon side looks 👌
Maybe it will be better if you start how they instruct on their site. They say for curly hair you start with the straight brush then the round brush.
Theres an ad for a zuvi halo dryer on this video. A sunlight powered hairdryer. Have you heard anything about this?
Wow I really like that revlon dryer, yea That is so weird that the Dyson air wrap round brush attachment is way too small ! I would love to know if using the revlon dryer again will be as smoky, because I feel like my volumizer one was only smoky in the beginning when it was new 🤔
To make the brush longer dyson needs to reconstruct the case.
That maybe why they’re keeping it short
I wish dyson would do longer and wider round brush
Hi dear! Can you please tell me honestly how often you actually use dyson airwrap and which attachments you like the most?
I mainly use it to curl my hair with the curling barrels and I use it mostly in the colder fall/winter months when my hair doesn’t get frizzy 💕 hope this helps!
@@JulissaGuillen Thanks a lot 💓
Thanks i have a Revlon it’s so good it takes like 30 minutes do u know why if u know say that in a video
Dyson has a small round brush attachment as well
Have you reviewed the Hot Tools Professional Black Gold Detachable One Step Round Brush Dryer? I feel like it will be similar to the Revlon One Step Booster
ua-cam.com/video/UtLPClkEbUA/v-deo.html
I did in the link above.. Let me know which you liked best...
It was very similar to the Revlon One Step Booster but I liked the Revlon One Step Booster better!
You look beautiful. Great review!🌸
I am returning my dyson air wrap today! I didn’t like it at all. The revlon is better

That smoke is too scary for me! The Revlon side looks more slick but the dyson will keep your hair healthier in the long run.

The Olaplex shampoo & conditioner makes my hair feel like straw. Like it's been clarified and not conditioned.
You remind me of Vanessa hudgens
You know Revlon makes one with a wider barrell. It works great on thicker hair
I actually like the revlon side way better! but you didn't even do the Dyson side the same way... like the curl pattern aint the same
Wow revlon did it again… great video please do a full video and it curls love it!!! And olaplex is great
Thank you your wonderful! But this small revlon is a long mission for me . And as for the revlon original totally destroyed me hair . So I give revlon a …F sorry revlon.

You have to remember you are drying your hair completely wet which will damage your hair 🙄.
