Haha. It would take a little more for Rush fans to be disrespected by that comment. You realized and recognized it. Hahaha. We appreciate how much you enjoyed the song. They are one of the only bands that are capable of putting the listener into their song visually. I've spent enough time in Xanadu to know exactly where to get my honeydew there. Lol. There is no bad Rush choice when itcomes to these guys. Some songs i wouldn't recommend for a newb, because some may not be ready for it. Lol. To ease in, maybe start with Tom Sawyer official video. It's their most successful single and usually the one that people recognize. Its a good introduction to them as well. My personal fave is Natural Science...but honestly, there are no bad songs. They changed their sound about every decade over four decades and imo, their last album in 2015 was one of their best, if not their best. Enjoy. Welcome to Rush!!
Being a long-time Rush fan, I had never actually made the connection, but as you rewound it, I can totally hear the similarity. And yes, understood you were saying GnR might have picked it up from Rush, not the other way around.
Geddy Lee is incredible. He is playing bass and 6 string guitar, synthesizer, bass foot pedals and oh he is singing too. Master at his craft by his early 20’s.
Yes, they are making all these sounds with 3 people - Neil Peart on drums and percussion, Alex Lifeson on the double-neck guitar, Geddy Lee on the base, keys, and vocals. Plus Alex and Geddy play foot pedals at times too
So I’ve heard from many musicians. I’m beginning to become a believer. And they’re Canadian?! How come no one mentions them as one of the best Canadian acts. I mean forget Drake and Bieber. These guys are killer
I was lucky enough to see them live 3 times, wish it could have been more,I have been a fan since I was 11yrs old,I am now 57, their music is timeless, I have seen this video hundreds of times, and I am still amazed, back at this time of live music, there was no auto tune, music tracks,or any of the other technology's that is used in present day live performances, Rush was just 3 guys playing very difficult music to be duplicated in a live performance. This band will forever be loved, and missed by all of their dedicated fans. Rest in peace Professor.
I gotta be honest I thought there were more of them on stage. Until these comments I didn’t even realize that I was watching just 3 mens doing all of that on stage live. So impressive!
Great reaction to the band that gave us “the soundtrack of our lives”!! For 40 yrs this band was a live touring band and they gave us A LOT to cherish!!! Anything anyone recommends will be good!! Keep the #RUSH coming!!Be well and God bless… from Texas!! #RIPNEIL #RUSHFAMILY
In Peart's lyrics, the narrator describes searching for a place called "Xanadu" that will grant him immortality. After succeeding in this quest, a thousand years pass, and the narrator is left "waiting for the world to end", describing himself as "a mad immortal man". The song is based on the poem Kubla Khan written by Samuel Taylor Coleridge. Although the song does not explicitly state where "Xanadu" is, references to Kubla Khan imply that it is a mythical place based on Shangdu, the historical summer capital of the Mongol Empire.
I love that these prog bands incorporate fantasy into their songs. Just transports you to a different landscape while you’re sitting and listening for a corner of you home.
I’ve been listening to RUSH for 40 years and I bought this video on VHS when it came out. When Alex switches from 12 to 6 string still blows me away at how seamless he does it. Never gets old!
I absolutely love watching your reaction to RUSH! Brings a tear to my eye watching someone listen who really knows how to appreciate their magic. Thank you!🎸🥁🎸
Just think, this live performance was filmed in the early 1980s and still sounds futuristic. When you caught glimpses of guns and roses.... I chuckled because sweet child of mine was released about a decade after Xanadu was first released. I absolutely loved this live performance from exit stage left.
Dude, this is why I still watch these reaction videos with Rush. There are many types of people that are Rush fans, but you are an ideal personality for digging hard into this rabbit hole. And it's a big hole. Geddy is from Xanadu!!! And Geddy wouldn't think to copy Jimmy directly, he's to into his own shit and you can tell he pushes himself performing to the max, every time.
Teddy is the lead singer yes? Also the guy who was on the double base and keys? I mean what a massive talent. And don’t get me started about the drummer and his set up. I’ve never seen anything like it
@@anksreacts Geddy! Geddy Lee is singer/bass/keyboard player. Alex Lifeson is guitarist and Neil Peart -- "The Professor" -- is the drummer/percussionist!! :)
That's how you know how great Rush is. You don't even need singing or lyrics and don't even realize that it's just music. Just sit back and get lost in their incredible musicianship!
Welcome to Rush, aNKS! We, as commenters, can always count on an awesome reaction to Xanadu, when the Reactor can't pronounce the name of the song! You surely did not disappoint; just like Rush didn't disappoint you! You're going to get a ton of info from people here. My one suggestion is that when you react to 2112 (like the year); you watch the official Vevo video cartoon version (it may be blocked for us to see, but you can just play the audio for us). It's a complicated song to understand at first listen; the cartoon clearly lays out the storyline and also provides the words. It's Rush's 7 part epic that set them apart from all other bands and allowed them to be who they are in music - amazingly talented, unique, genuine and ever-evolving artists who stand alone in style and class. We're glad you're here! Enjoy your journey!
Your reaction was great. It reminded me of my first reaction to this band many many years ago. I saw them on this tour in London in 1981....saw them first in London in 1978 and few times since. They are true geniuses and masters of their art. You must check out the album 2112 and the classic instrumental " La Villa Strangiato"....oh and Jacobs Ladder.....hey there is so much for you to catch up on....let's not forget Tom Sawyer.........dive in and swim around, then come up for air.
Great reaction. This song was written around 10 years before Sweet Child of Mine. Also, beyond vocals, bass, synthesizer, he is also playing foot pedals.
Your reaction got me so hype - and it got you my sub. Such a great reaction to one of the BEST bands to ever grace our ears. Your enthusiasm is so contagious - I've heard this song a zillion times and yet, watching you react got me like I've never heard it before! Keep it up man - Rush is the truth. (and if you go back and watch where he's using the synths... you can't see it, but he's hitting bass notes with his pedals. He's literally using his FEET to hit bass notes, which using the keys... and singing.) #mindblown.
Saw Rush 18 times ! Alex Lifeson and Frank Marino are the two most criminally underrated rock guitarist ever. Try the song Freewill from this concert !
Love it Nanna again!!! Our three Canadian Masters. Yep that was the first vocals.... Also think this was their 30th anniversary. We got three hour concerts... freewill , spirit of the radio, Cheers
Great reaction. One of the best live musical performances you will ever see. I appreciate your enthusiasm to Rush, we Rush fans are a tight breed. You will find Rush has 3 to 4 different era's of music. I'm happy to say I love every single era they went through. Enjoy your Rush journey.
Really enjoyed your reaction to this performance! Your enthusiasm seemed genuine and your critique of the band and the song were quite entertaining! P.S. I also just subbed to your channel to see you continue on your RUSH journey! "Losing It" would be a nice next stop on your journey!🎵🎶🎹🎸🥁
Thank you so much. I will continue doing Rush, how can I not. Just 3 people did all of that live on stage in front of what I can imagine was sea of people is no small feat. I found them late, but better late than never!
Xanadu pronounced Zanadu by Rush is based on a poem by Samuel Taylor Coleridge about Kubla Kahn who sought and was granted Immortality but later in life wished only for Death its a beautiful cautionary tale
Check out Rush performing "Spirit of Radio" live in Toronto in 2003 in front of 500,000 fans on a sunny August afternoon. The performance starts with Rush paying tribute to the Rolling Stones on a quick instrumental version of "Paint It Black" which then segues into a blistering version of "Spirit of Radio". BTW, once you hear the song, there's a very good chance you'll recognize it because it still gets played very often on Classic Rock FM radio stations.
The best part f Rush is knowing they were all good friends that liked to joke among themselves. Your favorite drummer’s favorite drummer (Neil Peart, who is the lyrics writer), your favorite bassist’s favorite bass player (Geddy Lee, the unique voice of the band) and a totally underrated guitar player (Alex Lifeson, the joker of the band). They toured like there was no tomorrow, they worked hard on each night and gave audiences their best night, every time. With a 40-year discography you have plenty to listen. Try some of their “short” songs, like “Tom Sayer” and “Spirit of Radio”. Get to their massive middle finger to their discography, the 20-minute epic “2112”. Go for some of their 90’s excellent work (“Stick it out”)… you can’t go wrong with Rush. Welcome to the Rush Family, we have cookies!
Rush -- you NEED to listen to: Spirit Of Radio, Limelight, La Villa Strangiato, YYZ ('YYZ' is the airport code for Toronto Canada, their hometown), 2112, Cygnus X-I Book II, Fly By Night, Working Man, Freewill -- Gawd, they are ALL good. They will all blow your mind. Rush: The world's ONLY complete three-piece orchestra!
Neil Peart Drum solo Live in Frankfurt would blow you mind note the difference of drum kit used, other songs, The Spirit Of Radio, Tom Sawyer, Red Barchetta, 2112, Clockwork Angles Full Album, Snakes And Arrows Full Album.
Welcome to Rush. Niel Peart (pronounced peer-t) is the GOAT on drums, chimes, tubular bells, etc. Alex Lifeson, rhythm and lead guitar, playing 12-string / 6-string double guitar and foot pedals. Geddy Lee doing vocals, playing a 4-string bass over a 12-string guitar, keyboards and footpedals. Geddy typically plays bass, but during Alex's solo part in Xanadu Geddy fills in with rhythm guitar. Since you're really digging the music and the crowd reaction, your next Rush stop ought to be YYZ played live in Rio. It's an instrumental only piece, but still a fantastic song and performance.
YYZ live in Rio, Working Man live in Cleveland or La Villa Strangiato official version are all good to start off with then you might want to check out some of their epics like Cygnus X1 and X2, The Fountains of Lamneth or 2112 but the rabbit hole is deep with almost 170 songs in their catalog.
👍🏽U give me hope for next generation. Most peeps do not or will not let the greatness of Rush soak into their soul. 👏👏👏Absolute fiy🔥reaction.U gotaa new sub🔥👍🏽🔥👍🏽
True story I was dragged to a rush concert back in the early 90s not knowing any of their music and the first words out of my mouth were the same as yours where are the rest of the guys that can't be just three of them and I was an instant fan
Welcome to the RUSH RABBIT HOLE!!!😜 Just for fun do working man live in Cleveland 2011… 30 yrs after this, their in their 50’s and it’s probably the most insane live performance ever 🤘 You have just entered the careers of quite possibly the 3 greatest musicians to play in one group for 40+ yrs. Not to mention they wrote an played the most epic ROCK song ever 2112, 23 minutes of insane story telling, 23 min of insane instrumentation, a 23 minute Rock Opera!! Rush had this incredible ability to take you on a journey with every song….
Funny thing is, when a radio station in Cleveland first played a he very first Rush song over the airwaves, the station was flooded with phone calls requesting the “ new Led Zeppelin song” !!
RUSH...that's an Oberheim polyphonic synthesizer playing the higher range synth sounds, along with a Moog Taurus mono-synth (all those wicked ultra-low bass sounds) that bass player/vocalist Geddy is actually playing with his feet...on a foot pedal board controller...while he is playing bass guitar, and singing vocals...then there is Neil Peart (The Professor) on the drumkit...RUSH Oh yeah, the double-neck guitars...this song is genuine magic
Ah! That was pure joy watching you dig that jam, brother! Welcome to the Rush Rabbit Hole! And you STARTED with Xanadu live!! Woo! Way to open up and get consumed by the music! Yes! OK...are you ready? Ok, good sir, here we go! You should check out "2112" next! You should listen to the studio verion first, just to get your head around it, and also do the lyric video so you can keep up with the story. Yes, I said STORY. 2112 was Rush's 4th album, back in 1976. They did a concept-piece for side 1 of the album and the song is made up of 7 parts, totaling 20 minutes and 33 seconds. It's an epic Hard/Prog Rock classic and it will blow your mind all over again! Dude, get ready to have your world changed for the better and in an epic way! Rush is amazing! you have only scratched the surface of theiir 40+ year career, from 1974-2015! AWESOME!! I want to see you Rock again!
thank you very much! IM glad i discovered them. Better late than never ig uess. and that song 2112 is on my list of Rush songs to react to. Alot of people have mentioned that track. Ill just have to make sure that im ready for it. But that reaction and video is coming soon. Along with more Rush
You have just listened to one of the best bands ever. I suggest, with respect,WATCHING the whole performance, instead of closing your eyes have of the show.;)
17 when this came out...One of my first Rush albums, but I already loved them from Caress of Steel, Fly by Night,...They'll fade into the night by time you've heard them as long as we old time Rush heads... Rush is a lifelong pursuit...You young guys lack the patience, and willpower, to just sit and listen to the dozen or so albums of theirs MANY times in a row. While absorbing all the rest of the great prog you never even imagined existed...Crimso, Genesis, Tull, Floyd, ELP...Just those five bands require about 2500 hours of listening just to "get it"... Well; "the journey of ten thousand miles, starts with the first step"... I hope you get to know this music...It will help you in the coming times...

All that sound come from three guys on stage, nothing pre-recorded! The multi-tasking they do to pull it off is unreal. Geddy Lee is not only singing, playing bass and keyboards, but he is also playing synths with his feet! Taurus pedals are like synth organ pedals. If you go to 7:59 in your video right before he starts singing - hear that synth? That’s Geddy with his feet! Geddy’s instrument is a bass on top and 12-string guitar on the bottom. They don’t show it well, but he plays the 12-string from Alex’s solo to the end while playing bass tones with the pedals. Alex Lifeson’s guitar is a 12-string on top and 6-string on the bottom. And Neil Peart, well he has an entire orchestral percussion section at his disposal, lol. These guys are the real deal. They evolved through many styles through their 40-year run. They have long, epic songs like this one and shorter, more radio-friendly songs, as well. Your comparison with Plant’s vocals are not far off. Geddy has a very high-pitched voice, especially in their early days when their style was very Zeppelin-esque. If you want another killer live performance, try Working Man from Cleveland. Welcome to the Rush! P.S. - And do we Rush fans think they are alien cyborgs from Xanadu with superpower musical abilities? Why yes, yes we do.
Jeez so he was doing way more than what I even caught during the video? Alien for sure. These guys are musicians, musicians. No wonder so many people speak so highly of them. Honestly a lot of people I know that are into music or are musicians themselves consider them the greatest!
Three people made all that sound. Geddy Lee: Lead Vocals/Bass/Keyboard/Pedals Alex Lifeson: Guitar/Pedals Neil Peart: Percussionist/Primary Lyricist Geddy Lee is definitely a superior alien with talents above most mortal men. There is no doubt about that, but Xanadu is not about an alien planet. The song is based on a poem by Samuel Coleridge. It is about the fantastical location of Xanadu on Earth, located somewhere in the "frozen mountaintops of eastern lands unknown", and through the "caves of ice". It is a place where a man can reach immortality. But be careful, immortality has drawbacks and can quickly become a nightmare. "Escape those caves of ice! Oh, is it paradise?"
First, it's great to see someone introduced to Rush and appreciate their music so enthusiastically; just as many of us did in 1977, when this track appeared. Excellent and thoroughly enjoyable. That said, I've skipped through the comments and not seen a mention of one aspect. I couldn't imagine seeing Rush, live, and closing my eyes for a second. It was worse than a tennis match, trying desperately to watch all three at the same time, and (knowing the songs inside out and back to front) flicking to each when we knew they were about to do something epic, like switch necks, Peart doing a spectacular fill, or Geddy doing a bass solo, etc etc. Some of the questions you asked were being answered before your very eyes... if they weren't shut. One other thing, Geddy (and Alex) was also playing foot pedals, to generate some of those 'background' sounds. You can clearly see Alex doing it (watch his right leg) towards the close, during the quiet section before the final crescendo.
I think I should start by warning you of a user by the name of Billy Lo, who has always trashed this performance any time someone has reacted to it; he apparently thinks that his opinions of Rush's music is superior to those of the rest of the world, and sees nothing wrong with trashing anything he doesn't like or anyone choosing it. As for Xanadu, it was based on an unfinished poem by Samuel Taylor Coleridge, about a man who seeks immortality, and then finds out that it's not what he'd hoped for; he becomes imprisoned in a cave of eternal darkness, and goes mad while waiting for the world to end. For another must-see performance, I recommend La Villa Strangiato live in Cleveland from their 2011 Time Machine Tour. Cheers from Canada! 🇨🇦 🎤 🎹 🎸 🥁 🎸 🔥 🔥 🔥
True, true!! Billy will get you for La Villa too… LOL! But don’t listen to him, he really like the deep cuts..(and so will you) anything anyone recommends will be good. Maybe YYZ LIVE IN Rio!
Thanks for the heads up Linda. Some people just wanna see the world burn, Batman’s butler said that lol wise man. As for Billy, I’ll wait for him, maybe he has changed his ways. Thanks again for watching.
Listen to the studio version when your high or just kinda lonely. It will give you a higher vibration FANTASTIC stuff putting COLERIDGE poem to prog/ rock.
"Maybe he IS from Xanadu. Maybe he's just an alien from Xanadu telling you about what his home's like." Couldn't be more accurate! 😆 For other long and trippy journeys like this one, try these songs: • 2112 • Cygnus X1 parts 1 & 2 • The Fountain of Lanmeth • The Necromancer • Natural Science • Jacob's Ladder Pandimensional experiences. Specially if you check the lyrics along!
Rush is the Holy trinity of the music business. Try the studio versions of these songs : Natural science, Jacob's ladder, La Villa Strangiato and go from there. There is nothing like Rush! Rush is.....well Rush is Rush. So many great songs over 40 years. Spirit of radio, Freewill, Subdivisions, the Analog Kid, 2112, Witch hunt, Tom Sawyer....And the list goes on and on and on.... Dive into this bottomless rabbit hole for absolute enjoyment.
Looking at his set up alone overwhelmed me. I still don’t know how he managed to play it all so effortlessly. All 3 of them to be honest. Just so impressive
@@anksreacts it seems you like drum solos , Try Neil Peart drum solo live in Frankfurt, ,, this guy was a huge influence on Taylor Hawkins , Chad Smith , Danny Cary and others ,
Your mic volume is way better The guitars are called double necks . Its so you can have 2 guitars with different tunings or a 12 string and a 6 string or a bass and a 12 string like Geddy is using Rock on man
Thanks man, I’m still trying to find the best setting. I’ll get there eventually. I appreciate you watching. Double necks man!! Only for serious musician I reckon. Who else would dare. The way he switched from the top to the bottom had me going lol
If you like to "smoke" ... "A Passage to Bangkok" is your Rush song. If you want something weird and dark "Twilight Zone." If you want more epicness -- "Hemispheres" If you want heavy rock -- "Working Man" They do it all, and then some.
Yes, just the three of them. Geddy Lee Vocals, Bass and Keyboards Alex Lifeson Guitar, Mandola and later keyboards Plus foot pedals Neil Peart drums, percussion and main lyrist. Yes, they are one of the GOATS of rock. Geddy Lee is playing Bass which is even harder to sing and play at the same time. Neil Peart is considered one of the best drummers in rock. Unfortunately Neil Peart passed away from brain cancer in January of 2020. Rush had a 40 plus year career. You are not the first one to think they are aliens. LOL They are Canadian from Toronto. Xanadu is a mythical paradise where one can achieve physical immortally. The fellow in the song achieves and then regrets his decision. This was taken from a poem. I would suggest watching it again as you missed some of the performance while you were being blown away by the music. LOL Other Songs and live performances La Villa Strangiato official music video. YYZ live in Rio Working man live in Cleveland Caravan from the Time Machine Tour live in Cleveland Natural Science from the Molson Amphitheatre Toronto Digital Man from the Snakes and Arrows tour. Alex Lifeson the guitarist started the band in 1968 and their first album came out in 1974. Rush changed their sound through the years but always sounded like Rush. Cheers 🇨🇦
I know! I was so mesmerized by what I was hearing that I totally missed half of what they were doing on stage. Gotta be honest, until these comments started pouring in I thought there were like 5 members on stage. My simple brain couldn’t comprehend that only 3 of them made all of that beautiful music, live! To perfection! Has to be one of the best 3 man band for sure. But, I gotta check some more of their stuff before I make that claim. Thanks for watching.

Great reaction. This song was written around 10 years before Sweet Child of Mine. Also, beyond vocals, bass, synthesizer, he is also playing foot pedals.
🙋🏿♀️ Back for a re-watch & hoping for some more Rush soon! 🥰🐰
These guys are mind-blowing!
“2112” (all 23 minutes!), “La Villa Strangiato”, “YYZ”, “By-Tor and The Snow Dog” & “Witch Hunt”.
Saw Rush 18 times ! Alex Lifeson and Frank Marino are the two most criminally underrated rock guitarist ever. Try the song Freewill from this concert !
I started playing guitar because of Alex, he is one of my favs along with Gilmour and Page.
@@joecrafted Check out Frank Marino. Johnny B Goode and Purple Haze from the Mahagony Rush Live album. I highly recommend the whole album.
That riff was before sweet child of mine
The Trees
And that my friend, is Rush, maybe +Working Man, Cleveland live. Xanadu will take me to heaven, Love the reaction.
Love it Nanna again!!!
Our three Canadian Masters. Yep that was the first vocals....
Also think this was their 30th anniversary.
We got three hour concerts... freewill , spirit of the radio,
Cheers
Legendary performance. Never disappointed live. Always mind blowing.
Throughout history, God has periodically bestowed upon mankind a glimpse of His eternal glory,
RUSH was one such time.
Welcome to the brother and sisterhood of people who appreciate the talent and music of RUSH !! 😁
Great reaction. One of the best live musical performances you will ever see. I appreciate your enthusiasm to Rush, we Rush fans are a tight breed. You will find Rush has 3 to 4 different era's of music. I'm happy to say I love every single era they went through. Enjoy your Rush journey.

🥰 Still 1 of my favorite Reactions to this song! Watching again before I watch La Villa! 🤗 Your Rush & PF Reactions are so joyful! ☺️🐰
Just an amazing reaction. Nice job.
You are amazing! Love how into the music you feel and express. What a journey you've embarked on. Enjoy it. Keep up the epic work
Thank you, that’s very kind of you. I love music. In the end it’ll save us all. I truly believe it now more than ever. Thanks for watching
@@anksreacts they have a song called " In the end"
I really loved how into this song you got, I could see a fellow Rush fan being born in real-time. So great.
Wait to you hear Rush "La Villa Stragiato" Live its another Masterpiece !!!
Listen to marathon live lucky see these guys 4times
Ever wonder what perfection is? You just watched it!!
BTW, once you hear the song, there's a very good chance you'll recognize it because it still gets played very often on Classic Rock FM radio stations.
thanks for the suggestion. Ill check it out for sure.
Very deep rabbit hole with Rush , be ready to expect the unexpected, the singer is Geddy Lee he is the Bass player also and keyboards
Man was doing so much that I felt lazy just sitting there watching Him kill it!
My favorite
2112, Natural Science. For live performances, YYZ and Freewill (both from Rush In Rio). Enjoy!!
dude you totally feel the music. Great first listen to the best trio in rock.
Sweet child of mine was like 7 years after this song…
The only problem is that I don't know if it's possible to top this for a Rush live video. It's even better than the studio version.
Ohh no! Started at the top? As long as I can keep visualizing what they are communicating I should be okay. Thank you for watching.
Looks like YYZ is going to be the next one. I’m going to do as much Rush as possible.
I really enjoyed that
Rush

Enjoy your journey
🥰 Subbed hoping for more Rush & Pink Floyd! 😁🐰
Welcome to the RUSH RABBIT HOLE!!!😜
Just for fun do working man live in Cleveland 2011… 30 yrs after this, their in their 50’s and it’s probably the most insane live performance ever 🤘
You have just entered the careers of quite possibly the 3 greatest musicians to play in one group for 40+ yrs.
Not to mention they wrote an played the most epic ROCK song ever 2112, 23 minutes of insane story telling, 23 min of insane instrumentation, a 23 minute Rock Opera!!
Rush had this incredible ability to take you on a journey with every song….
Also, the drummer, Neil Peart (PRONOUNCED LIKE "EAR") wrote Xanadu and 98 % of all the lyrics for RUSH.
Lots more where that came from
That's 3 people!!!! RUSH.
Funny thing is, when a radio station in Cleveland first played a he very first Rush song over the airwaves, the station was flooded with phone calls requesting the “ new Led Zeppelin song” !!
This song is based on the poem Kubla Khan by Samuel Taylor Coleridge who also wrote Rime of the Ancient Mariner, a song by Iron Maiden.
You get it bro!!! Keep exploring. 🎸💪🏼
I hope you get to know this music...It will help you in the coming times...
hey thank you recommending those bands. Jethro Tull, King Crimson, Genesis, but im not sure who ELP is.
@@anksreacts Emerson Lake and Palmer...Pirates is a good song to start with...Studio first; ua-cam.com/video/Ryc8gGfnL5M/v-deo.html

You've just been GOATed ..... your music snob friends aren't snobs - they just know what you've been missing out on all these years. Enjoy your RUSH journey now :)
I agree! i shoulve listened to them earlier, but im here now and im gonna explore as much as i can
All that sound come from three guys on stage, nothing pre-recorded!
Geddy Lee: Lead Vocals/Bass/Keyboard/Pedals
Alex Lifeson: Guitar/Pedals
Neil Peart: Percussionist/Primary Lyricist
Geddy Lee is definitely a superior alien with talents above most mortal men.
Love you Mon...my favorite is Subdivisions...Todd from Ohio...
Yes, GnR guitarist, Slash, was inspired by Alex Lifeson (Aleksandar Živojinović). Živojinović literally means, Son of Life (Lifeson).
🎤 🎹 🎸 🥁 🎸 🔥 🔥 🔥
True, true!! Billy will get you for La Villa too… LOL! But don’t listen to him, he really like the deep cuts..(and so will you) anything anyone recommends will be good. Maybe YYZ LIVE IN Rio!
@@juliebrockett3471 Actually I blocked him after he attacked me on two of my other Rush favourites; and YYZ Live In Rio is another great choice.
@@lindaward5376 that sucks!! What a jerk… we’re a family here!! We ALL love RUSH! Bad form..Bad form! Be well, my friend!
Linda, Billy Lo is a troll, and that’s
all there is to it. some people just

Remember, don’t feed the trolls!!
Thanks for the heads up Linda. Some people just wanna see the world burn, Batman’s butler said that lol wise man. As for Billy, I’ll wait for him, maybe he has changed his ways. Thanks again for watching.
The world's smallest symphony orchestra. What a RUSH!
I pretty much decide how I feel about any UA-cam channel based on the reaction to this video.
I just subscribed.
Hello fellow New Jerseyan!!! Thank you for watching and subscribing. I have a lot more Rush coming!
Listen to the studio version when your high or just kinda lonely. It will give you a higher vibration
FANTASTIC stuff putting COLERIDGE poem to prog/ rock.
Axel Rose was 15 years old when this song was written.
"Maybe he IS from Xanadu. Maybe he's just an alien from Xanadu telling you about what his home's like."
Couldn't be more accurate! 😆
For other long and trippy journeys like this one, try these songs:
• 2112
• Cygnus X1 parts 1 & 2
• The Fountain of Lanmeth
• The Necromancer
• Natural Science
• Jacob's Ladder

Rush is the Holy trinity of the music business. Try the studio versions of these songs : Natural science, Jacob's ladder, La Villa Strangiato and go from there. There is nothing like Rush! Rush is.....well Rush is Rush. So many great songs over 40 years. Spirit of radio, Freewill, Subdivisions, the Analog Kid, 2112, Witch hunt, Tom Sawyer....And the list goes on and on and on.... Dive into this bottomless rabbit hole for absolute enjoyment.
Before electronic drums percussion were invented , The drummer used real percussion, chimes ,triangles, wood blocks and more
Looking at his set up alone overwhelmed me.
Check out their song YYZ live in rio…….fuckin audience is going bezerk. Epic.
Next one on the list for Rush for sure!!!
Yeah this song came out 10 years before Sweet Child O'Mine.
Well…now you know why we say they are the 🐐 GOAT 🐐
Welcome to Rush.
I strongly recommend the drum solo Neil Peart live in Frankfurt. 😎
If you like to "smoke" ... "A Passage to Bangkok" is your Rush song.
If you want something weird and dark "Twilight Zone."
If you want more epicness -- "Hemispheres"
If you want heavy rock -- "Working Man"
They do it all, and then some.
Yes, just the three of them.
Geddy Lee Vocals, Bass and Keyboards
Alex Lifeson Guitar, Mandola and later keyboards
Plus foot pedals
Neil Peart drums, percussion and main lyrist.
LOL
Other Songs and live performances

Caravan from the Time Machine Tour live in Cleveland
Natural Science from the Molson Amphitheatre Toronto

@@anksreacts Well I congratulate you, you got through one of their more epic songs on a first listen!
