I was born in 1962. I have been wearing hearing aids since I was 2 years old. My hearing is at a 92% loss. I am now 59 years old. Back in 1964, hearing aids then were the "body harness" hearing aid that looked like a transistor radio with 2 cords running to my ears. I had always dealt with Beltone through the years. Beltone had always asked me what improvements could be made, even though I was just a kid. Somebody was listening to my suggestions all those years. In 1970 Beltone had the very first prototype behind the ear hearing aid, I was their "experimental model" to try these out. ( I even came out on a cover of a book by Beltone for this. I wish I knew what my mom did with that book) I thought the behind the ears were great.... no more cords to mess with from the harness aid. As technology improved Beltone had always asked what improvements could still be done. I told them I love to listen to music and said," If only the hearing aids could be my own personal radio as well" I just got these new Oticon hearing aids from Beltone 31 March 2021 and I am hearing things I have never knew existed..... after all these years. These hearing aids are unbelieveable especially for my 92% hearing loss. I love the bluetooth technology. A friend called me up the same day I got the hearing aids and I asked him if he was driving in the rain with windsheild wipers on..... Yes, I could hear that! Also, I love the fact that I can play my favorite iTune playlist through the hearing aids without disturbing anybody. Also, now my wife is impressed because now instead of the television blaring at volume50-60 I now have it at 19 and now my wife can not hear the television. To me, this is great. I just can not get over how great it is to hear things I never knew exsisted! People may think the price is high but I say it is worth every penny
@@DrCliffAuD @becky sonnier I talked with a famous professor that found some gene that can make sudden hearing loss, I asked her if the cure is coming and she said “it’s the million dollar question, regrow hair cells is very complex but I think it will take 5-10 years until we see the first cure for hearing loss (for some forms)” In my opinion not more than 20 years More and more people have hearing loss and the percentages growing the world today is too much noisy (cars, concerts, AirPods 24/7, Corona virus LOL etc) I think we will see the first cure in 7-10 years, the cure for tinnitus we take decades in my opinion
I have had these for almost a week now and they are truly excellent. I now realize just how poor the Signia nx were that I was using and what an impact it has on life in general. Get these.
Having worked in computer science for over 30 years, and most recently worked extensively with machine learning and AI, I have to congratulate you on your description of AI, ML and Deep learning, very clearly explained. There are some nuances to some of the training and learning you described but they really aren't important in the context of how you describe the application of this technology. Well done!
I have purchased Oticon OPN S3 on 6-2-23. Bilaspur Chhattisgarh. 1. Now I am satisfied with the group conversation. 2. While hearing UA-cam , I am not getting the speech clear 3.. On Video talks continuous speech getting muffled. 4. Audiologist needs specialisation to adjust
FYI you can provide your own cell phone type battery pack and plug it into the charger to charge the hearing aids, it doesn't have to be plugged into a wall. I have tested and confirmed this. It may be able to charge by plugging it into a computer USB port as well, although i haven't tested this. I like how the cable has a USB on the end of it and the adapter to plug into the wall can be added or removed.
In general, USB charging is very source agnostic, "wall wart", computer, battery pack... Its data connections where the USB cable matters (some cables are USB power only) but AFAIK that doesn't apply here. The only question is how many amps are needed by the charger. There two ratings for chargers, 2.4 amps, and 1.8 or 1.5 amps. If you plug a low current demand into a 2.4A socket, no problem - the device draws what it needs and no more. Plug a 2.n+ device into a 1.8A, No fuses pop, but the device may or may not behave correctly - "your mileage may vary". I have no idea what the Oticon chargers need - maybe that's buried somewhere in the specs. Or email Oticon customer support. Hope this helps.
Dr. Olson , there is the option for a battery pack... by plugging in the USB cable, that you seem to be holding in your hand, into a battery pack. I tried it on mine and works fine.
I just wish hearing aid companies would give you a trade in value for your previous aids, they could refurbished them and resell them and give new buyers more of a chance to keep upgrading without continuing to break the bank!
We kind of have a few problems with this. First, is demand. There is simply not a very robust demand for used hearing aids. Until there is significant market demand for used devices, the trade in value will not be very high. There is a demand for receiving a high trade in value, but unless those devices can be sold at a profit, the economics will not work. Looking at resale values on Ebay, the demand for used hearing aids just isn't there. Second, the vast majority of the value in a hearing aid is the professional care. Even if you were able to buy a used hearing aid, you would likely have to spend a significant amount of money to get the devices fit and re-programmed.
@@DrCliffAuD Fair points, Doc, but I wonder if it's simply not in the industry's interests to generate demand by increasing awareness! As you say all today's devices leave the factory as 'blank canvases', so it's dead easy to wipe all old programs and reuse afresh. The USA model is different I know, but perhaps over on my side of the Atlantic private dispensers and the National Health Service can make the 'economics' work on both sides through collaboration? To thousands of NHS patients, far better to be treated soon with used 3yo but good quality systems, than stay many months (sometimes a scandalous 18 months) on the waiting list for rationed new systems that won't necessarily be any better for them. Option 3 of course is get tired of waiting and go without. Or how about the private sector collaborating with charity and/or government health organisations to make repurposing for this world's poorest nations a routine thing? All of these ideas are 'safe' for clients in that fitting and aftercare stays with professionals rather than risking the horrors of personal purchase online. Plus all of them bring net-zero-carbon benefits as with any repurposing of electronic devices. Just needs enough people with influence and seedcorn dollars to look beyond existing balance sheets and private/ public ideology then make it happen.😁
After 37 years in a steel mill and retired for 15 years now.. I final have accumulated hearing loss at 4000 and slight tinnitus in my left ear! I will be getting the Oticon More #2 this week and I’m new to the world of hearing aids... hope they help...
Thank you for your reviews. I bought the opn s1s a year or so ago my first set of hearing aids ever. I didn’t know what to expect so I think I expected too much. I hear birds and clicks and bells that I didn’t hear before which is wonderful but I don’t hear voices as well as I thought I would which was obviously a disappointment. Someone else here on this thread said hearing aids are getting to be like iPhones. Something a little newer a little better always coming around the corner. I’d like to try these new ones but with no trade-in or not sure what to do with the old ones seems like a waste unless there is some crazy significant difference. But I do love your videos and I appreciate the information you share.
But how do they sound. I was dying to know how they sound to you compared with other devices. Maybe we need our clients to tell us (I'm an Audiologist in Sydney Australia). Thanks for reviewing them.
Here is a good thing with newer hearing aids - you can get used Oticon Opn 1 for a fraction of the More price, get them adjusted and be pretty much ok. I am not a native English speaker living in New Zealand and at times struggling with a local accent feel pretty confident after a year of wearing Opn1 (not S). And I did not have to break a bank for that. So, used ones also a good option. And modern marketing lets this option to be even more affordable as new models emerge.
I believe our clinic have already started stocking them and I wonder what clients might think of them in comparison to the livio edge AI 2400 or even the Opn-S
Thanks Dr. Cliff. I got the latest OPN’s in September. They replaced an earlier version of the OPN from three years prior (insurance covers every 36 months. My hearing loss is unusual in that my left ear has a 40db hearing loss with about 85% on the word recognition score, but a 90 db loss and a whopping 12% word recognition score on the right ear. I was struggling with the old OPNs, mainly because my right ear had sudden hearing loss about five months after I got the new set (which replaced a Widex for my left ear only). The new OPNs helped quite a bit. I’m guessing as a result of my word recognition score that something like the More wouldn’t be that much of an improvement over the OPNs. At any rate, in another three years, I’m sure the technology will be far ahead of anything we have now.
Great information. Just purchased a set of Oticon More today from UCONN Hearing and Speech clinic. If you’re in the Connecticut area, Dr. Hinchey is an amazing audiologist.
Great video. At 3:10 you said there is no battery pack option. The charger for the Opn has a USB plug that can be plugged into a portable battery for charging on the go. I really like my OPN S1 hearing aids. I doubt I will make the leap to the MORE yet, but they sound promising.
I am going into my third week with the More 1after upgrading from the Open S. For me these are night and day better. I don't have people telling me my phone is ringing anymore. The batteries go all day with power to spare. The only issue I am having is the Bluetooth cuts out mostly on 1 sided. I have a Samsung Note 20. My connect clip and buds don't do that. My audiologist is working with Oticon without a solution yet. I'm hoping a software update will fix it.
I was fitted with Oticon More miniRITE 1 and was really excited. But there was an insurmountable problem: on every program there was an audible hiss. The General program was the worst with an aggressive white-noise. The least objectionable program was the Oticon Music setting, with a subdued brown-noise, used for streaming; it was the only one that didn’t make me irritable in daily use. My audiologist tried to adjust the hiss out but wasn’t able to do so. She also remarked that several of her other patients had this hiss problem. I’m now going to be fitted with the Phonak Audeo L90 so I have high hopes.
I’m a month in with my Oticon More 2’s and love them. The clarity of the sound is great, especially in noisy environments. When in a crowded, noisy environment the background noise drops and the person you’re talking to is so crisp and clear. Don’t understand how the technology does that, but it works! My only complaint is that streaming music or calls to the aids really eats up the battery charge. If I stream while I’m taking a morning walk, by afternoon they need recharging. So I mostly use EarPods when streaming to save recharging the aids. If you have an Apple iPhone, I believe you must have IOS 13 or above to use the Oticon On app, but Apples built in program under Settings, General, Accessibility, Hearing aids works fine for me to act as a remote. 3 taps to the Home button brings the hearing aid settings to the desktop making it easy to make adjustments.
thx for ur review, i am now using opn s1, it is not working so well in noisy place, i cant hear clearly in noisy place even using noisy-program of opn s1. does oticon more works well in noisy place like canteen, restaurant? do u recommend i upgrade to oticon more?
Hearing aids are prohibitively expensive for many Americans.I am fortunate to have insurance that pays for hearing aids. As a consumer, I find comparing aids to be confusing. Thank you for your advice.
Dr. Cliff, Thank you so much for this valuable information... it is so timely as well since I will be getting my new pairs at the end of this month! Wishing you a healthful, peaceful and prosperous new year!☮️
After a one week trial with Resound one I was not impressed. I am now trying Oticon more . No comparison! These are forgettable, in a good way. Much smaller and lighter so I don’t feel them. But the big difference is the feeling of natural sounds. I felt aware of the sound compression in the Resound , it felt like plugged ears. No such sensation with the Oticon more hearing aids. This is day two with them. I also love the iPhone control.👍
I visited one of your authorized audiologist in New Mexico who followed the your suggested best practices. She was very professional and knowledgeable. I tried a pair of the Oticon More hearing aids for a week. I really enjoyed the hearing aids except for one thing. There was slight delay in the sound reaching my ear. It made the sound of music on legato tones warble. Being a professional musician makes this issue unacceptable in a hearing aid. It addressed the high frequency hearing loss just fine accept for the warble. She was not able to address the warbling issue with the Oticon hearing aid. Any suggestions? I have a tough time justifying a $6000 investment with a warble in my ear...
Dr. Cliff, thank you for these videos. I've been using the More1 for about 3 weeks now. I'm very happy with the fit and performance except I find the higher frequencies to be over amplified and very annoying...what we used to call 'extremely bright' when describing audio speakers. I understand some of this is due to my loss of upper frequencies for so many years but it still is very annoying to me. My next appointment with the audiologist will include RET and I'm hoping my concern can be addressed. Are these units capable of attenuating volume at higher frequencies. Thank you!
I got my More 1 last week from the VA. I was suprised that I was given the portable charger. But I was not able get them set up. I always have a lot of wax in my ears, the VA was nt able to fit me in for a cleaning that day..I went to a ear clinic and had my ears cleaned I have a appt 09 Aug to go back to get my hearing aids set up.. I can not wait.
I'm on day 2 with my new Phonak p90. The app and connectivity leaves much to be desired. Would I be happier with the MORE's features and app? I'm all about the tech...
I doubt it. Resound One is all about features and customization on app. Plus, it is great to listen the music on Resound Quattro and I suppose the same on Resound One. Tried Resound Quattro before I switched to Oticon opn s1. Miss those features and customization of app including tiny portable with the loaded charges to carry everywhere you go.
Thank you for a very informative video. I am new to HAs and just had my first evaluation and this particular doctor recommended the Oticon More 2 (as that is what my insurance will partially remit for). Accordingly, she told me the Oticon More 1 would be full out of pocket and more than I'm willing to pay at this time. I have moderate hearing lost in one ear and slightly worse in the other. Anyway, my question is about the More 2 as opposed to the More 1. Generally, what I understand is the More 1 is fully automatic and the More 2 step down in features requires a manual adjustment if entering into a different sound environment. Is this the case? Also, I am considering buying only one for my worse ear now and then purchasing the second one maybe in a year should the technology advance even more. Your thoughts on that? Do these Oticon offer firmware upgrades to existing models to keep up with technological improvements? Thanks for any info you are willing to share.
I just got my Oticon More 1 and I have the Cross with it so I guess it is available now. I love mine and I am just shock how it is so much better than m old Starkey hearing aid and Cross
I have purchased Oticon more 1 understand the company (z power) that makes the battery is now bankrupt. I am experiencing some shut downs. I thought this was due to moisture but now think it maybe the batteries. Do you have any experience on this issue?
I am about to purchase me first hearing aids and am favoring the Oticon devices. I have tried the previous level 3 Oticon device and the new Oticon More level1 device. I know that you provided the metrics for the individual More device levels but what difference would I notice between a Level 1 More devices and a level 2 or 3 More device (assuming the audiologist has adjusted them correctly) There is a large different prices in the Oticon More Model levels but as the level 2 & 3 devices are not available yet I am wondering whether I should wait for them to be available so that I could test them.
So I just got diagnosed with CAPD and I’ve been recommend hearing aids and I was wondering if I absolutely have to get the premium hearing aids? I can afford the advanced ones but I have an active lifestyle and my doc is really pushing for me to have the premium but that’s an extra 1300 and I wanted to know if you think it actually makes a diff on CAPD with no hearing loss
Helpful video, thanks. With all this deep learning that's going on, how do these aids avoid latency? I play in a band and have experienced latency doing some home recording on certain devices, so curious how this is handled with hearing aids.
Another EXCELLENT video Dr. Olson! would the Philips HearLink 9030 hearing aids, sold at Costco, and made by the same company Demant, also be similar to these? In other words, would they have the same chipset as the Oticon More?
Thanks for the video. The More was recommended to my 91-year-old Mom. The audiologist did not cover what level 1-2-3 would be best for her - but simply showed her the price difference. While she has an active lifestyle for 91 it is what I would call a quiet one. For her, would there be a real difference in her hearing experience between the different levels.? Or best to save some money and just buy the basic level? Thanks!
I just got a new pair ... I started wearing my first pair in my 20s...I wore them for a few months, and I stopped. they felt uncomfortable .. when I stopped.. I told people I'm not ignoring them... I just cant hear. I told them I was hard of hearing.. fast forward in my 30s I decided to get these. some days I dont feel like these things are in my ear.. so its a much better feel than the oticon OPN. I also like that these are rechargeable ... so im not buying batteries every week lol
It appears Costco has a Phillips brand of hearing aid that has similar technology. Could you do a comparison of the Oticon More and the Costco Phillips with AI
Thank you for this! I have an appointment scheduled this week to try them as part of their no risk free trial. (These will be my first hearing aides). I'd been planning to try the Phonak Paradise first, but these seem like a better choice.
I'm currently on a trial with Phonak Paradise, and I've already had a 3 month trial with Oticon S 1. 4 Days in and I just told my audiologist I want the Oticons back. They are way better. The ability to take a hands (and Gadget) free call with the Phonak is great but as hearing aids they don't match up to the Oticon S 1. Also there is a low level feedback that's aggravating my Tinnitus. Looking forward to seeing what improvements have been made with the More range.
I have Oticon hearing aids and my loss is considered severe. My audiologist told me he could not help me anymore but suggested later that I buy new hearing aids. I can't tell you how depressed and frustrated I felt. My husband is usually with me when I go but he wasn't that day. I felt that I was being pushed. Is it possible that my ears are just that bad that hearing aids won't help me? I can hear from one but not the other. I discovered tonight that the receiver in the ear piece that doesn't seem to work was disconnected so that has to be the reason I can't hear? I am going to find someone else and get a 2nd opinion very soon.
Hey Cliff! Fantastic stuff, very interested to hear more about what your research uncovers regarding the deep learning and neural networks. Hope you’re feeling better and looking forward to more content!
I could use help. I'm swimming in confusion. I'm not the wearer, it's my dad. So, it's between Oticon More and Resound Omnia. Dad has severe hearing loss. First question is, given he mostly deals with home and doctor offices and multiple speakers, who gives the richest most natural sound--Oticon More or Resound Omnia? Second, audiologist said Oticon More 2 and Resound Omnia 7 are fine, we don't need the higher technology. I can't help but feel that though the top technologies help with concerts and such and dad won't be going to concerts, that there would be in less complex situations some enhanced sound quality with the top technology hearing aids, i.e. Oticon More 1 and the Resound Omnia 9. I need some definiitive direction: Oticon More 1, Oticon More 2, Resound Omnia 9 or 7? Please help. I get it's half of one and two of the other, I just need direction towards the best hearing experience for dad, that is natural, full and is no question the best at picking up speech of all ranges. Which one is it of the four?
Thanks for the detailed review of the Oticon More hearing aid. After about a year of launching, did Oticon come up with the an ITE (half-shell or ITC) version of the More hearing aids?
Great review! One question: do these finally seamlessly switch frome iPhone to MacBook like the AirPods do? (I currently have the Opn S and have to use a TV link or Clip to do video calls on my MacBook)
OPN S hearing aids can only connect ton one device at a time, i don't think that will change for this but i can't confirm. i expect it won't be as easy as airpods, but shouldn't take too much time either.
Doctor Cliff, is there one of these RIC hearing aids (or any quality hearing aid) that protects your hearing from loud sudden spikes of noise (a loud screech, firecrackers, gunshots, etc)?
I was told I had hearing loss in my early 20s, but I ignored it until I developed tinnitus 😭.... I'm early 30s now so I'm finally getting my second pair of pairing aids.. she told me they Oticon more will be rechargeable . if I'm not mistaking Oticon on had a rechargeable expansion kit and it was poor quality .. it lasted a few months.. I hope its different with Oticon more.
Great info dr cliff. I'm a 53 year old that just started wearing hearing aids about 6 months ago. I currently have the oticon S2 . But I'm not 100 percent satisfied with this brand. I large groups it hard to understand speech.
I have worn phonak most of my life. (54 yrs old). Im profoundy deaf and no thank you to cochlear implants. I would love to put a bug in phonaks ear to create the kind of hearing aid I think would benefit me. The accessories are great but if only they could incorporate those accessories into a hearing. Bam! Thats a perfect hearing aid.
Voice clarity is my key issue. I do not like the reverb effect of Kirkland 10. It makes the voices sound jumbled or hard to understand. I have no difficulty hearing low frequency sounds.
I recently got a hearing aid and idk if it me but the speaker sounds like it's a warrbled broken speaker in a tin can its been 2 days wearing a hearing aid the sounds I feel aren't right idk what to do....
I have been wearing mine for a week today. I need some adjustments for sure. They seem to be picking up every sound I encounter.Going back tomorrow to get some adjustments,
@@toddmccuen6423 Great, I hope it's working fine now I wanted to ask, how would you rate it out of 10 on - i) Noise cancellation ii) Speech Clarity iii) Amplification
@@sciencetricksbyadoctor6171 1) Noise Cancellation: I have to change programs to take advantage of that. To be honest I’ve not been out in a restaurant or public to really be able to notice. I work with kids and when they all start talking to me or one another it all becomes noise 2) Speech Clarity: Depends on situation. I have people that insist on whispering to me regardless of how many times I tell them I can’t understand those soft sounds. Amplification: with the app, that is great because I can easily adjust that as needed For me, the devices give sound a lot of depth to sound and make sounds richer. Not sure about noise cancellation, 7 or 8 on clarity and 9 on amplification. I do like the Bluetooth features. I’ve always struggled hearing on cells phones but not now. With the sound going straight to the devices I can easily talk on the phone.
@@toddmccuen6423 Thanks a lot for taking out your time to write such a detailed review. I'm also looking for an apt aid as my current aid tends to pick up all the random sounds which makes the speech feeble. Thanks for your time buddy. I wish extreme bright and positive future for you ahead
Dr. cliff , I have profound hearing loss to the point I have a back-up pair of hearing aids. I have Oticon OPNSI ,miniRITE hearing aids with custom ear molds. I have had them about 2 yrs. Both were just sent in and replaced. They are not rechargeable. Are these the best for profound hearing loss ? Is there another Oticon model I should be considering. Dr Cliff , I do need hearing aids and have 25% hearing loss in both ears of course at different decibel ranges. I was given a pair of Oticon Xceed and want to use them as if I buy hearing aids I am looking between 4-6000 $’s. My question is that I don’t want to wear the full size insert into the ear but just the small one that fits in the ear channel as I don’t have profound hearing loss. Can the larger ear inserts be changed for the smaller ones ? Thank you for any help
Thanks Dr CLIFF for this nice video. Do they improve understanding speech in noise in patients who have hidden hearing loss and patients with CAPD?
how many different types of hearing aids go thru your office. Istarted out with oticon in my rite ear for 13 months then I was paired out with phonak in both ears at the VA Hospital
Is Octicon More, an upgrade or update version to Octicon S1? In other words, can I download Octicon More software to my Octicon S? Or, do I need to re-purchase a whole new set of hearing aids?
I just got a pair of Oticon More aids. Does the “More Sound Booster” require adjustment by my audiologist? I can’t currently detect any change in the sound when it is switched on.
My audiologist has ordered More 1 for me to try but it sounds like it may not be suitable as I have reverse slope loss due to Menieres. I am completely deaf on one ear so only use an aid in my better ear. Can these aids be successfully programmed for low frequency hearing loss? (60-70 at 250-1000 Hz) Thanks
These look good on paper, but curious to hear your thoughts on how these stack up against other available top tier HAs, i.e., Phonak Paradise, in terms of sound quality? Or is there not really a way to make a fair comparison?
On paper, MORE should have superior audio performance. There is a multitude of research material from the past six years confirming the benefits that "Deep Neural Network" sound suppression can have on audibility. The technology has been there, but the hearing aid hardware was not powerful enough to run it. In 2020 a similar technology has been implemented by companies such as Microsoft (Teams), Discord and Nvidia, to replace conventional noise reduction algorithms.
Do you have a hearing aids with the best battery lasting and endurance as well more confortable in aer canal hearing aids that reduces sweating in the air?
I like that they're working more with Android phones. Wish they could do some kind of firmware update for opn s an other models. Really the only thing I don't like about my opn s1 is Android compatibility. I have the connect clip, an tv adapter. Picked the opn just for the sound quality. Got them well before phonak paradise came on the market. It'll be 3-4 year's before I can get an upgrade from the VA. I'm still happy with what I have.
Had been told in early 2021 that Oticon was aiming to make the Opn/ Opn S backwards-compatible with Android. From the comment below, is that never going to happen after all?
gotten use to bluetooth and streaming with the phonak marval doesn't matter on who makes the hearing aids as long as I still havebluetooth and streaming
Possibly. I usually recommend you stay within brands for the most part. Unless there is a particular feature that you would find extremely beneficial in a different brand.

I told them I love to listen to music and said," If only the hearing aids could be my own personal radio as well"

I just can not get over how great it is to hear things I never knew exsisted!

That’s scary. You should already know this stuff from your training and continuing education.
Thank you so much, Dr. Cliff. Your videos are incredibly helpful
I have purchased Oticon OPN S3 on 6-2-23. Bilaspur Chhattisgarh.
1. Now I am satisfied with the group conversation.
2. While hearing UA-cam , I am not getting the speech clear
@@DrCliffAuD
Fair points, Doc, but I wonder if it's simply not in the industry's interests to generate demand by increasing awareness!
I just got mine today! I love them. I love that I can use them with my phone and listen to music. I love how comfortable I hear my music
This is what i have recently ordered oticon more 3. I have bilateral hearing loss with tinnitus in both ears. Super excited about my HA.
Tell me, are you satisfied?
Thanks for sharing Dr Cliff! Great review :)
Glad it was helpful!
I’m the proud recipient of the Oticon hearing aid!!!😁
But how do they sound. I was dying to know how they sound to you compared with other devices.
Maybe we need our clients to tell us (I'm an Audiologist in Sydney Australia). Thanks for reviewing them.
hearing aid industry is becoming like the smartphone and auto industry...your level of comfort based on the depth of your pocketbook
...yes, with very long-term ever skreech increasing tinitus squeel 'n' creeping volumous hiss...
🤣 it.... would appear so 🤣☹
Here is a good thing with newer hearing aids - you can get used Oticon Opn 1 for a fraction of the More price, get them adjusted and be pretty much ok. I am not a native English speaker living in New Zealand and at times struggling with a local accent feel pretty confident after a year of wearing Opn1 (not S). And I did not have to break a bank for that. So, used ones also a good option. And modern marketing lets this option to be even more affordable as new models emerge.
@@sergeidorokhin5619 i'm not sure you can get used ones in U.S.
@@johnq5284 I bought them from eBay. And the NoahLink from AliExpress.
At any rate, in another three years, I’m sure the technology will be far ahead of anything we have now.
they are mores not opns
If you have 40db loss how much will it become after wearing an aid???
Just given Odicon hearing aids by the Veteran Administration. So far so go. Tried another product and they did compare, even on the first day.
Great information. Just purchased a set of Oticon More today from UCONN Hearing and Speech clinic. If you’re in the Connecticut area, Dr. Hinchey is an amazing audiologist.
I ordered a pair today also...
It would be really helpful if you can share your experience with oticon more..are you using more 1,2 or 3..?

Great video. At 3:10 you said there is no battery pack option. The charger for the Opn has a USB plug that can be plugged into a portable battery for charging on the go. I really like my OPN S1 hearing aids. I doubt I will make the leap to the MORE yet, but they sound promising.
Hi, thank you for the informative video.
Your quick thoughts on the Oticon
More 2&3 and Zircon Please?
I am going into my third week with the More 1after upgrading from the Open S. For me these are night and day better. I don't have people telling me my phone is ringing anymore. The batteries go all day with power to spare. The only issue I am having is the Bluetooth cuts out mostly on 1 sided.
I have a Samsung Note 20. My connect clip and buds don't do that. My audiologist is working with Oticon without a solution yet. I'm hoping a software update will fix it.
I have Samsung Note 10+ and I have the same problem. 1 sided cuts from Bluetooth.
As always a great video detailing all the important features. Thank you.

Dr. Cliff,
Thank you so much for this valuable information... it is so timely as well since I will be getting my new pairs at the end of this month!
Do you still like them?
Thank you!
Not sure why they wouldn't do it at the first visit, but I guess later is better than never.
Thank you Dr. Cliff.
I got my More 1 last week from the VA. I was suprised that I was given the portable charger.
But I was not able get them set up. I always have a lot of wax in my ears, the VA was nt able to fit me in for a cleaning that day..I went to a ear clinic and had my ears cleaned
I have a appt 09 Aug to go back to get my hearing aids set up.. I can not wait.
I'm on day 2 with my new Phonak p90. The app and connectivity leaves much to be desired. Would I be happier with the MORE's features and app? I'm all about the tech...
Depends on what features you're looking for in an app, and honestly, what type of phone you have.
Thanks for the review. I have Alta 2's at the moment, and I use android usually, so this is a good change.
wow this will be a huge upgrade for you since you are skipping OPN and OPN S! Hope you get to try one out soon.
And this is for the oticon opn S. I’d also like to add that I’m a nursing student in a noisy environment
Sir which is best quality phonak vs oticon

They’re only compatible with ios or android, so no mac os :(

These look good on paper, but curious to hear your thoughts on how these stack up against other available top tier HAs, i.e., Phonak Paradise, in terms of sound quality? Or is there not really a way to make a fair comparison?
No way to compare. They approach sound processing completely different.
Phonak paradise and GN resound came out with totally different approach targeted mostly to mild hearing loss.
Get well soon Doc!!

Had More 1 for three days, now gone back as they will not connect to more than one Bluetooth device - iPhone and iPad
