No comments on how the polyrhythm Danny plays is something 99.5% of percussionists can't do? Dudes seriously the best technical drummer since music has been recorded.

Damn right. The vibe between drums and bass is fucking awesome. The guitar fills it with beautiful tones. And the lyrics and vocals are the painstakingly perfect. As a whole tool are unsurpassed. League of their own.

This was like a couple of months before I was born. It's weird to think that from their perspective, they made the favorite music of someone who wasn't even born yet. Tool is just absolutely amazing, glad to be part from this experience.

I immediately started thinking the same thing about the hazy graininess of the video as well! Like its some pro-shot live video of a psychedelic band from the 60s. Obviously the visual art on the projector screens certainly aids in that aesthetic :) Adam definitely has a cool eye and ear for those nuances. And whomever filmed this deserves commendable praise as well. It's amazing what people can do when they're passionate about something.

For when this was recorded (97 I’m guessing) it’s such an amazing quality on the audio. It’s funny how stuff that was recorded over he next 15 years wasn’t even this good. Hell its 2018 and people post “live” videos where the audio quality blows. Wish I would have seen tool in this era live.

@@rjpena9529 No, you are wrong ... It is about Bill Hicks. Look at the liner notes, Bill is the smoking doctor, depicted in the painting, with Maynard on the examination table. And if you don't know Bill, look him up, and you might understand why he was a good friend of the band, and why you are still wrong.

@DrFHead It's been years of course but I heard an interview with Maynard and this song is about Christ. I personally do not echo his opinion but I like his music and that of A Perfect Circle and I believe everybody has a right to their own opinion even if I do not agree. I think it's a great song regardless. Maynard is known for his controversial subjects.

@TheCrueFan89 Me too, until he said that he does that as a persona. So he doesn't sell his face and no one bothers him in his daily life. I can respect that.

@crazymiles the entire album is based around Jungian psychology and the work of Bill Hicks so by and large yes it is about him.
