Agreed... deserved an iconic music video. Also way up there for me on the underrated list are "Dreaming" from the Red Album and the Pinkerton B-Side "Devotion." They're with this one in my Weezer top ten.
I don't feel the joy I don't feel the pain You were just a toy I am just insane Walking on my own Leaving you behind You were crying out That you need to speak your mind Oh So alone in love So alone in love I'm going to haunt you every day Haunt you every day I am gonna kill When I need a thrill Eating at the heart Till I've had my fill When will stupid learn Fire's gonna burn Think of consequence Then you move when it's your turn Oh So alone in love So alone in love I'm going to haunt you every day Haunt you every day Walking on my own Leaving you behind You were crying out That you need to speak your mind Oh So alone in love So alone in love I'm going to haunt you every day Haunt you every day Haunt you every day Haunt you every day
WEEZER helps me withstand and survive this crazy world, and always brings a smile to my face.Overall, WEEZER is the best band in the world! (Sorry for my bad english...Greetings to everyone out there from Hamburg/Germany) 👋🖤🤙
I love the counterpoint @ 3:03 This version is so much better than the album version. imagine if Make Believe sounded like Pinkerton, it would’ve been so much better & so much more acclaimed
Compilations and best-ofs don't really work for album-focused groups like Weezer. The whole album has a feel to it, and if you mash songs from them together, they feel disjointed or change their vibe altogether.
In my opinion both the demo and the original are a masterpiece. I wished Weezer put this demo in Spotify; I love this f/)):ing song so much. 🎉🎧🎤🎸🎹🧑🎤 I only listen to this on UA-cam a lot.
The official release is one of the reasons why 'Make Believe' is my favourite album of all time and this just is exponentially more. I can't believe I didn't hear this before.
I really love this song. It reminds me a lot of pinkerton era songs that are so honest where Rivers is not trying to victimize himself but instead confessing he's being the manipulator. So sad that such a good song ended up on a bad reputation album that suffers from overproduction and trying so hard to be "popy"
While listening to this just now i was sitting in a pitch black room with only the light from my phone and i was staring at the album cover and zoned out so hard that I genuinely forgot that I'm not floating in the void
I could never get into the studio version - it's too overproduced for my tastes, though this demo is sublime. The sombre vocals and venomous instrumental work together like clockwork
For those wondering the Guitar tuning is Db standard (448 Hz) and is in the key of Gb minor
THANK YOU
I love you
For those wondering, the picture is 'princess takiyasha uses sorcery to gather allies' by kuniyoshi
I happened to pick it up at a poster sale recently
tysm! I want this on my wall so badly
DAMN i was searching for it for so long!!! thx
Score
This is the single most underrated song that Weezer has ever created.
It's definitely up there. I'm partial to Four Leaf Clover

Any demo from make believe and ewbaite eras is underrated bc they're all hidden masterpieces imo

I don't feel the joy
I don't feel the pain
You were just a toy
I am just insane
Walking on my own
Leaving you behind
You were crying out
That you need to speak your mind
Oh
So alone in love
So alone in love
I'm going to haunt you every day
Haunt you every day
I am gonna kill
When I need a thrill
Eating at the heart
Till I've had my fill
When will stupid learn
Fire's gonna burn
Think of consequence
Then you move when it's your turn
Oh
So alone in love
So alone in love
I'm going to haunt you every day
Haunt you every day
Walking on my own
Leaving you behind
You were crying out
That you need to speak your mind
Oh
So alone in love
So alone in love
I'm going to haunt you every day
Haunt you every day

Zeewer fan in France, different languages, same feelings 🐈🏴
now kith
this is so awesome
Dang this is somehow better than the released version
Yep, it's not even a close competition imo
@@coledavidson5630 Totally agree, I love the album version but this one is crazy good
Most Weezer demos are.
The released version suffers from overproduction, unfortunately
this is a interesting picture I am looking at
Goes well with the haunting song
Damn, this one is better than the official version, that chorus packs more punch
Tbh that's pretty normal with weezer songs it's like they kinda ruin them a little trying to polish them
I love the counterpoint @ 3:03
This version is so much better than the album version. imagine if Make Believe sounded like Pinkerton, it would’ve been so much better & so much more acclaimed
It was changed to be more bombastic and happy sounding due to Rivers not being in a terrible place mid way through the albums production
this really does sound like pinkerton now that i think about it
nearly every pinkerton-like demo is a favourite of mine, i mean it is my favourite album but still, this shit is good.
I feel like Make Believe has most of the parts for a great, melodic Weezer album, it just needed more punch and lyrical depth
Just like nirvana did like a complication full of demos and scratched songs, Weezer should also do that, weezer has alot of gems here.
i thought they did that with death to false metal?
@@notalleyna yeah, but all of those songs where probably picked at random after the release of raditude, none of them really stand out
@@exotictrap_ true:(
Ik it isn't the same, but Rivers Cuomos Alone series is all demos and they're quite interesting.

I almost always like the demos more , such a great jam .
It's like we're in the garage...where we belong.
Weezer's demos are always better than the album versions. idk what is up with that
@@SalsaStork overproduced
part of their charm is that they’re a garage-band. when their songs sound overproduced they sound too poppy.
love both versions.they give off different vibes and both sound good in different contexts.
nvm nvm i heard the chorus in here nvm this is better

Love this version so much more that the one in the album
my friend samuel hartford hardin loves this song !!
This song has that same kind of weight that songs like The World Has Turned have for me
While listening to this just now i was sitting in a pitch black room with only the light from my phone and i was staring at the album cover and zoned out so hard that I genuinely forgot that I'm not floating in the void
I fw this heavy
I think I definitely prefer the released version but this is also really good.
I love the second verse sm uugghhh
Gorgeous song
The happiness I feel is attached to this song. I love creepy imagery
My favorite version ❤
This song is a good one from Make believe
Nice version and nice artwork haha✨
UA-cam recommends this to me AS I AM CURRENTLY LISTENING TO HAUNT YOU EVERYDAY
way better than the final version
The hidden masterpiece of the Black Album
You mean Make Believe?
Speeding up the song to 1.5x sounds interesting in the beginning
omg yeah youre so right it sounds so good
She said I'd end up alone..but I don't want to be borrowed money
I love that rivers made this shit Kevin Parker style
Great
Love the artwork. Does anyone know the source?
