Good idea! I did the same with strips of pink duct tape, just a way to brighten up dull colors. I've been wanting to get some reflective strips for my backpack and trekking poles though. It would be great for keeping an eye on a fellow hikers or their gear if you're out after dark.
Great video, do you hold your umbrella or do you use the pack attachment that you can buy to go with it? I bought the attacher amd tried it on the Colorado Trail but wasnt able to figure it out 😂
I guess I don’t know the origin of blazing trees. Or I’m a little bit confused on what you mean. As far as my understanding the wilderness area here in Kentucky don’t have any blazers so I figured that somebody just cut into the tree so that they could see the path to go on, but it’s all unofficial so there’s really not any actual trails
@JeremiahStringer ok fine I'll give you one freebie master stringer( i feel bad for you). "Blazing the woodsman code" its a old video but I watched it when it was brand new, it's dense in knowledge. That dude sold out but he Used to be good. I've been to his classes.
Lol makes sense. Glad we switched to paint. Much less harmful on the tree for sure. Figured bugs could get in when the tree is hurt and could end up killing it. Learn something every day
.. a small roll of fluorescent survey tape is a good extra to have along ... a strip on guy lines prevents tripping over and marking off trail turns in unfamiliar areas for marking a direction for others coming behind , especially in winter snowy conditions ,, easy to get lost in a whiteout , as well as a pre-dug cathole for use in the dark ... just remove when leaving ... ... I would have to show you the amazing tricks of an external speaker ,, they function as a drone and can also swim ,, well maybe ... nothing wrong with personal tunes or listening to a podcast ,, but use earphones ,, do not disturb nature's sounds and peace for others ...
I wear wool socks year round. Etsy has sources for 100% wool ragg socks made by little old ladies in Bulgaria that feel and wear great on the trail. Makes the 80% wool socks from REI pale in comparison.
I once went under, in shorts, under-estimated my height with my pack on. Squeezed under, body full on the ground and tore up my knees. Coulda just taken my pack off for a sec, but noooooo.
I put reflective tape on all my essential gear great in the nighttime when you can use a flashlight to find gear..glow in the dark strips are good to!

Good thinking!
Love Dispatch knives
Make some good stuff 🙌
Gorgeous area, man! Loving the hair 👍
Darn Tough Socks are my go to in the winter. Not just for hiking!
Love them
Glad to see you back! Hope you and family are well!
Doing well. Got a sweet little 6 month old boy and beautiful wife
A subway sandwich is an essential too. Makes the first days lunch, either on trail or at a site, so easy.
Keep it up Papa Springer 👍🏼
Love it. Easy and cheap is the way to go for the first day

I do both. Prefer it attached unless it’s a tight spot
I remember this little hike!!! Awesome fall views!!! Awesome essentials that I always carry!!!
1:40 stringer are you pretending to not know the origin of blazing trees?

@JeremiahStringer the paint stringer....the paint used to be scars on trees. What you showed was litteratly a blaze.
@JeremiahStringer I dropped out of high school stringer I shouldn't be telling you this stuff or I'd explain in more detail, kick rocks.

Don’t need a Bluetooth speaker on a trail. Earbuds
Love my AirPods as well
Don’t want to hear your music in the wilderness. Really rude. What you think is quiet, others won’t.

Appreciate it!
Good to see your face bud. Good gadgets too!

Curious on what day pack you were using? (Your link appears to be broken/outdated)
Here’s a link to it: alnk.to/90Ae4F0
It is the skyline 30 fast pack by outdoor vitals
hahaha...you said six inch 🙂 Thanks for taking the time to produce this motion pitcher and sharing 🙂
Glad you liked it!
20 Hours? That's way more than my current backpacking/camping speaker. Have to check that out!
Oh yeah.

I've never tried socks from Etsy, but I'll check it out.
I can honestly say i have never seen a lighter on a leash. Cool place to shoot a video for sure.
Thank you. Give it a try
Great video. I met a friend of yours on the Pinhoti a couple of months ago, The Jason Wish!😄👍🏼
He’s a great guy!
Thanks for the shoutout!
You bet!
Of course, my gut is habging out, lol!!! Eh, who cares, it's the trail!!!!
Lol wild trail man 🙌 had a great time with ya

Throwing a folding blade is asking for a broken knife. Even a regular fixed blade isn’t designed for throwing.
Nice throw though😊
Lol yeah I was just messing around for fun for the video. Dispatch sent me that knife and I have a bunch of others so I didn’t care if it broke
Brother where you BEEEEEEN
Lol we had a baby boy in July so been being a dad
