I *love* team Ozone's philosophy so far. Being concerned with Pokemon being too powerful and dangerous (especially in a region that witnessed a catastrophic ancient war between them and humans) is a way cooler take than every other team wanting to rule or destroy the world for uh... reasons.
Yeah Team Rocket is the mafia, team Aqua and Magma are weirdos, and so is team galatic, team plasma had a nice cover up until ghetis ruined it. Neo team plasma are ninja pirates. Team flare are nazis, team skull is a gang and team yell is a cheer squad. So really the only evil team that had some actual reasons was the original team plasma.
It also has more of a leg to stand on the team plasma’s philosophy where you can kind of see through it and they’re not a bunch of hypocrites

I like how it really makes sense that the ozone people engage in a pokemon battle with you - cause they are trying to show you how dangerous pokemon can be. I've always felt it a little weird in other games how the evil team brings out pokemon to fight yours, instead of just beating you up or something. Team Ozone really makes sense, awesome idea for an evil team!

The way you’ve integrated politics, religion, and history so heavily into this story yet it still feels like it could be a real Pokémon game is awesome =)

I love how, as apposed to just summarising the story, you make it into a full experience. The character art combined with backgrounds and voice acting, all come together to make it quite an immersive experience. I can’t help but think these would make great actual games. I love the themes you go into, as well.

I think Evan’s design, personality, and motivations are my favorite aspect of the plot. I also find the legendaries believable and compelling. The theme of intelligence makes a lot more sense to me now.
I love that the rival's Pokémon are all considered dangerous in the asone region! I like his motivation a lot and it ties well into the whole story
Fan Pokémon stories can fall into a trap of being too edgy.
This one perfectly captures that “Pokémon tone.” You did a fantastic job
so.. why not both?
You've been developing this Team Ozone thing for such a long time, but they really come well together in this. This is such a great Pokemon Story, it reminds me a bit of Black and White (and Gold and Silver), but not in a derivative way, and the cast of characters are really colorful and well done. It has a dark tone and meaningful message while still feeling completely E-rated, and I think that is the best part because being able to make something exciting and new, but still age appropriate is a big difficulty that many fans don't recognize.
I also like how you turn-over fan expectations and desires by making both the cool and the nice rivals friendly rivals, and do it in a way where I think those fans who want darker rivals will appreciate.
A dark, but friendly rival. Why hasn't GameFreak given that a try yet??

I know you won't see this, but I just wanna say Ron, your work on Pokemon designs, in all of the series including this one, has really inspired me in my own Fakemon projects (I'm not very good, but I'm getting there lol)

It is crazy to me how in-depth the plot and design for your region is. Gamefreak has a paid team of hundreds of production managers and artists and designers and developers, and you have you. Despite this, the quality of your theoretical game is equitable or even better than that of the actual pokemon games. I am incredibly impressed. Keep up the good work!

I love how Truegreen7 just complements the Asone region in the “Welcome to Asone” part
game title ideas given the theme; Pokémon corundum and garnet. Both were precious martials in the Middle East in ancient times and still hold some value today!
To the two people who liked this (not going to lie gave my self a little boost of one) thank you I actually did some thinking and research which for me isn't common. So thank you two very much for enjoying my idea enough to give it a thumbs up each.

Something tells me that if this were a real game, he'd be one of my favorite characters. Maybe one of my favorites in all of Pokemon.

I love the voice acting! It makes everything so fresh alongside the graphics. Everyone did a great job, it made the story so immersive. Can't wait for the next vid
you can tell just how much time and effort went into this project, the characters are well developed, the story is complex yet sensical, i am so happy with the way the project turned out but most of all proud of Ron and happy for him considering he did something risky and achieved what he wanted. basically, good job!!!!

I actually choose Eleafant and her name shall be Raja.
I catch a Combee on Rt. 1, and it helps with the battle against Team Ozone, but won't be an official member.
After obtaining all the badges, defeating Team Ozone, and helping our Rival save the world; I have my Champion Team.
Raja (Precephant), Littlefoot (Braediate), Tesla (Thundoryx),
Hinsa (Barbaryena), Donatello (Putridome), Victoria (Corviknight).
I think Evan is officially my new favorite Pokemon character. Up there with N and Zinnia. I don’t have a lot of favourites. :p
It makes me sad that this isn’t an actual game. I legitimately think this would be considered the best main series game if it was made.

i just gotta say, regional forms of the swords of justice would fit perfect into this region. virizion, cobalion, and terrakion defending the helpless pokemon that got caught in the middle of the war, oof that would be cool
Dude I love that Captain Ozone is explictly helping the Player. Kinda reminds me of how the Team Galactic Grunt subtly helps you out with the security key acting like he's oblivious and "accidently" dropping the key.
I think game freak really should turn this into an actual game because i never seen such brilliant writing in a pokemon game great job like always dude

I have to admit. The TED presentation reference at the beginning with Professor Cedar was nice.
I honestly LOVE the Asone region plot! I think that these games should be called Pokémon Past (for Shermorera) and Pokémon Future (for Azarera).
Evan is a really interesting rival, and the art for him is so good! I'm really enjoying the story so far, and it's really cool seeing how much it's developed since a few years ago. I appreciate that Team Ozone have a pretty believable and unique motivation too. Looking forward to the next episode!

the effort put into this!! this story is actually really compelling, and i can tell that the character development of Gabi and Evan is going to be really satisfying. very well written. love how well woven Asone is into the rest of the Pokémon world.
I think it would be really cool if you continued to make in depth videos on things like the items you can get, if you can use ancient items you find, cave design layouts. And other cool and random things on asone.

The true challenge of making a region is not designing but to program the game. Its really hard to program a game with that much new pokemons considering the mechanics, evs, ivs and stuffs.
i absolutely need ron to partner up with someone (or a team of artists/game developers) to make this an actual game. i would def play!

That was crazy but the Ozone team is suppose to protect people from pokemon but they are the true monsters.
Gabbi and Evan really show the two distinct impacts you can have on your rivals. Evans is motivated by your ever increasing strength, and sees you as an example of why he needs to grow stronger. Gabbi on the other hand seems to be getting increasingly frustrated with being unable to best you.
Are any of these battles fixed? As in 'most win' to progress? Or would you be able to lose with slight tweaks to the narrative?
Okay, Evan is getting frustrated too (post Siyan battle). So I guess you being strong frustrates both rivals XD

This is so hype! I feel like it's kinda weird to thank you for coming up with this amazing region, but still! Pokémon was my childhood and I'm stoked to know that there are people out there who love it so much that they make their own region!

Great story so far, and I look forward to seeing how it goes. That being said, ever since I saw the Pokemon Anime of Diamond and Pearl I've always hoped that there was a rival (like Paul) that we had where we were supposed to lose to. I get that we are a strong trainer, but sometimes it hurts the story in my personnel opinion if we're always wrecking shop no matter who it is. That's just my feelings on it, keep up the great work!

So~ While watching Asone's Pokedex video on a trip I started to design my team, which converted into me giving each of my pokemon a backstory and finally leading to this: me deciding to tell the story of what would be my own travel through this region. And, after a night of insomnia, I have the first bunch of text.
Feel free to give any feedback, correct me if I made some grammatical/spelling errors as I'm not an English native and I had to use Google Translator a lot, or if I got some information about Asone wrong.
I'll try to continue writing more a more (I already have a lot of cool ideas) and I just hope Truegreen gets to see this someday, bye!

I noded jauntily, ignoring the fact that I didn’t even know what a Crestoxic was but telling myself to make a mental note about not poking it if I ever met one.
I left Professor’s house and went straight to Route 1, Aleyad Gardens. A warm sensation filled my heart as I started to feel pumped up. Everything seemed new and exciting, I could even hear the wind calling my name and inviting me to travel
through this new region, full of incredible pokemon species to catch and a whole new Pokedex to fill up with precious information. I gave a last look to my traveling bud, Eleafant, and we jumped right into the adventure of Asone!

I watched all three of these videos and they are honestly amazing 😆. The story, map, and characters are also well done.
This is an impressive story, Trugreen! Though I have 2 questions:
1. Why did you pick the boy trainer to be our character for this region?
2. I know this is "For the sake of this series" But how did you decide to settle for Eleafant as our "Starter"?
I just thought these choices were a bit restricting and immersion breaking, considering some of us would have different choices.
You could choose whichever you want, but for the sake of the plot I have to choose to move the video along. Can’t have 2 characters on screen (the professor’s child) when in the actual game only one would be talking. (Whichever you don’t choose) Picked the boy cause 75% of viewers are male and cause I wanted the female to have a speaking role. (All the characters would be guys if Gabe was the rival instead of Gabi) I also had to pick a starter so Gabi would have a starter of her own in the video. I picked Eleafant since it suited Gabi to have Smokalf and the other character (in part 2) to have a Bellumar.
As for 1, I think the roles of Gabe and Gabi are easily interchangeable. You pick one, the other becomes professor's child.
As for 2, I think the only purpose of picking Eleafant(or any starter for that matter) was for the ease of narration. We can just imagine the rival to pick the starter that has type advantage on ours.

Various thoughts: Love the complex plot and characters! I love stories where no one is truly in the right. Was totally surprised when captain ozone wanted to team up with the mc and that cliffhanger!! Going to hop to the next part now
