Thank you! Can I replace a different color cartridge of the Lamy ink or should I clean the fountain pen before adding a different color?
Yes, absolutely
Yes to which one? Clean it? Or just switch it out? I just switched colors in my brand new pen that I did write with with the first cartridge. I didn't clean it to switch cartridges to another color (from blue to black). It seems fine but of course I have no experience at all. This is my very first fountain pen. Cleaning the whole pen between colors every single time I switch colors seems like overkill when I'm using it for my artwork

if going from a paler colour to a dark one or black, the strength of tint in the dark ink will quickly overcome the previous shade. sometimes you need to make a change "on the fly" without a rinse site in reach.
But the opposite is not also true. if changing from dark/black to a paler ink then a thorough flush is necessary. If you must do it unflushed then you can watch your page of script begin dark then as the inks mix on delivery it'll become paler. Which might be novel, but not of service in any kind of official document.
If you're new to fountain pens as a type, be aware that even modern ones might disgrace themselves on occasion by burping ink via the nib. if horizontal in a pocket you might just find a freshly blued mark on your nice new jacket. So whenever possible keep them upright, nib up!
Last point - be aware that there's inks around that are NOT for fountain pens. Indian ink, registrar's ink are two.
I pushed my converter in until it snapped. Now I can’t get it out. The pen wasn’t writing right before I did this. Was I not supposed to snap the converter in. I might have to take it somewhere. I should have flushed it first. Any ideas. Thanks.

I just got mine and this video helped me a lot. I was trying to put it in upside down. And I had just pulled out the one that came in it so I should have paid attention to that!
My question is, since I got my Safari for my drawing art, I got the set that has different colors in it, extra cartridges. I am looking to use the one I just put in but need to know if the new cartridge that came in it will now dry out and if so is there something I can do to keep that from happening? Can I wrap it in cling wrap or something? I am keeping the others in a little zip lock bag so it will go in there as well, is that enough?
Yea you can carefully remove it and put some masking tape over the hole. You need to be super careful with the filled open cartridges but this will work.

Can I add a different Lamy color cartridge when I am ready to replace cartridge? Just wondering if the Lamy cartridge colors are compatible with one an other?
Yes they are. You will just have a period where the color is between the two
You should wash the pen with water or look up how to flush a pen

It did not get pierced, does it need that much force? Or then again, it is a dupe so the cartridge plastic cannot be pierced easily..
It requires more force than you’d expect. You screw the body down to puncture it as well

I just got mine and when I remove the bottom part, the cartridge is also going away, like stuck in the bottom piece... And no ink out of nib 😔.
