This movie man... Koe no Katachi. if there was an anime movie to show someone who doesn't know anything about anime, this is it. Realistic, dimensional characters, down to earth themes, amazing artwork and soundtrack, not to mention the brilliant voice acting... this movie has it all.
Ok, Kimi no na wa is a good movie, but for someone who isn't familiar with anime and wants to get into it (or you want him/her to get into anime), Koe no Katachi wins it. Such an amazing movie with feels that could move mountains.

For those who you don't know what is shown in the manga, let me break it down for you:
    - Ishida had more backstory with his 2 childhood friends
    - More siblings story (now and past) between Nishimiya and her sister
    - Nishimaya became suicidal since her childhood, and his sister aware of it
    - Nishimiya's sister tooks photos of dead animals/insects to show Nishimiya that it is bad to be death
    - The group made a movie project (the movie has a HUGE part in the manga story)
    - More back story/character development for every person in the group (there is an entire chapter that filled with the back stories of every person of the group, including Ishida and Nishimiya)
    - Ueno had a crush to Ishida since childhood, that's why she always mad and became jealous to Nishimiya
    - Ishida and his 2 childhood friends will get along in the end
    - The manga ends with Ishida holding Nishimiya's hand when they are about to enter the reunion hall of their school friends

    • @pzz6367
      @pzz6367 4 роки тому +91

Yea I was kinda sad they took out the making-a-movie part, but the anime explained most of the parts you listed.
For example the reason why Yuzuru takes pictures of dead animals, Ueno's crush on Ishida, and why she didn't like Nishimiya.

You got to understand....it's a 2 hour movie...they had to put what...60 or 70 chapters of manga into 2 hours. they HAD to cut a lot of material, and a lot of the material they cut was incidental at best.

A famous Japanese poet once taught his students that the correct Japanese translation for "I love you" is "Tsukki ga Kirei" (the moon is beautiful). Hence, in traditional Japanese culture, "Tsukki ga Kirei" can also be a form of confession. It is unknown whether Nishimiya understood this, and was so embarassed as a result.

Last night was a difficult night for me. I suffer from depression and last night was a close call.
I saw ASV several times last night, through kaleidoscopic vision while just trying to stay awake.
This is not a positive post, nor is it one wanting attention. I just wanted to hear this music.
I'm 35 and have been playing keyboard and guitar since the age of 17, self taught, and I have never, ever gotten to this level of skill. I gave up several years ago, like I have given up on a lot of things.
But I still hold music dear. I saw ASV again today. It felt good.

I've been waiting for a quality arrangement of this song for a while; someone who'd do justice to all those layers of instruments and capture the emotional eruption we all felt at the end of that film, and oh boy, yet again, you haven't failed. You can easily say that this arrangement is... lit.

Yeah. Kimi no na wa is amazing but the plot is pretty complicated. This is not only just as amazing, but straight forward, easily understandable, down to earth and relatable even if your not deaf. It deals with the consequences of bullying and isolating people we refuse to understand just because we think they're different. It is such a wonderful film with beautiful visuals and a stunning soundtrack.

    Dear Ishter Sensei,
Even tho you probably won't notice this message, I need to tell you that without you and your amazing covers I would probably have never played the piano.
You have inspired me on so many levels. You made me fall in love with both anime and music and now, thanks to you, I can't spend a single day of my life without playing the piano.
This kind of heart-stretching cover is the reason I like you so much. Thanks to you I'm starting an "Anime on Piano" channel today and I wish one day I'll get as good as you are.
If any of you guys in this awesome community wanna check it out, I'd be so happy to hear your thoughts on my work.
Thank You Ishter Sensei, Thank You anime community, you guys are like my family.

This piece perfectly converts the hardships Ishida went through. It’s so bold and so powerful yet so delicate at the same time. It sounds so angry but so sad. It sounds like someone pouring out all of their emotions in the rain screaming at the sky. Such a beautiful yet tragic movie.

Well according to a famous japanese novelist he told his student that the translation of i love you should be "the moon is beautiful" (Tsuki ga kirei desu ne) coz saying "i love you" is too blunt so technically speaking you can say Shoya did reply to that I love you indirectly
