The camera shots were shit but the love in andys eyes seeing his fiance speak about sa is just so beautiful like i can die happy now knowing they are married lmao
ugh.... the director ruined it... stop doing close ups on the piano, the singing voice, hands, etc. Just do a long shot and let us bask in the beauty of how it's supposed to look from the audience.
Not the best video, but really I'm watching to see the pure love in Andy's eyes when he sees his fiancée up there talking about what he loves doing most
I had the privledge of seeing this production during the first weeks when it was in the downtown area in a warehouse like enviroment. An excelelnt show, filled with so many extras that the orginal show didn't do, the director and producers filled it with so many great new ideas that it was a little overwhelming at times.
Good Day LA: did it occur to to have an ASL interpreter for the cast and have the host speak to the cast & audience both?! You had this great segment showcasing diversity, & failed to provide basic services to your guests. What a lost opportunity! who was in charge of the control room/cameras?! Again, you have deaf actors showing the beauty of sign language and how much it enhances the performance, and you put the camera on the musicians & cast members who are doing nothing but standing still? SERIOUSLY?! Is everyone there a total bonehead?
That's part of the reason it's a stage show not filmed for television. You can see it all in one shot. It often happens when they put live performances on Television. They don't show the whole picture, in other shows performances you like miss dancing by then showing the singers standing still. And they do have company interpreters and they probably had her there.
saw it in downtown LA and not surprised at all that it will be making its Broadway Debut this September. with the addition of Oscar and Emmy winners as well as experienced Broadway talent can you say TONY?
@@Mildred111 I think that he is asking why some shots have people and others don't. A lot of the comments are about the signing not being in every shot.
this is an ASL-based production and yet the signing isn't even filmed for most of the song. amazing.
And no asl for the interview that followed, which is just bad.
Ok the filming of this pissed me the fuck off I can't watch this when the cinematography missed the entire point

Why the hell are they doing close ups on the cello instead of the signing
I know this is a year late but that’s a double bass which is very different than a cello
that’s a double bass

What a beautiful presentation. Its gratifying to know that people are working so that everyone can enjoy a show so beautiful as Spring Awakening :)
Please film the two actors signing 🙂

Randy Rand There may have been interpreters off screen for the cast.
Thank you for your reply!

This is incredible!
The sound quality is really weird, what's up with that?
2:54 andy is so beautiful
I love how you can only see half of his head in that shot lol
Absolutely amazing!
This is an amazing show!
Why some people with and others don’t? 🤔
What do you mean?

The editing on this is so bad
