This is fantastic, Adam. Beautiful scenery and well-balanced exposure. Nothing better than a hike into the woods with a tripod on your back!
That's for sure, just love hiking up in the mountains. Thanks!
I really enjoyed the drone footage of the ice on the lake. It gave a really cool perspective. The final photo at the end really turned out fantastic. I love the orange lichen on the foreground rocks.
Thanks, Ben! When are you going to come and do a trip up this way?
Wow! What a gorgeous location!! Thanks for sharing and bringing us along Adam!! 👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks, Patricia! Are you coming out with a new video soon?
Soon, I hope ;) I haven't traveled all this summer.
What a place!! thanks for sharing Adam!
Thanks, much appreciated.
Great video and photos Adam, and what a fantastic place!
Thanks again Adam, I appreciate the feedback. Assiniboine is a special place for sure.
Really cool to see what you're experiencing! Looking forward to your next video Adam! =)
Thanks, Michael! Great to hear.
Another awesome video Adam. Keep up the great work!
Cheers, Larry! much appreciated
Awesome...so different to here !
Just discovered your videos in the last couple of days, really enjoying these fantastic shots and awesome scenery. Keep up the good work Adam. Rgds Mick from County Mayo, the west of Ireland
Fabulous video and another great location.
Thank you, April!
Right! That's it! I am selling - up lol. And moving here, totally gorgeous in the extreme ...
Assiniboine definitely ranks as one of the most spectacular locations in the Canadian Rockies.
Hello. hello, hello. Fantastic location. Wish I could take advantage of your return trip here as mentioned in your most recent vlog but probably not a possibility for me. Mt. Assiniboine is wonderful but I was really taken with Sunburst Peak. Marvelous chunk of rock and a perfect companion element in your image from the Niblet. Thanks for sharing these wonderful adventures.
Thanks, Stephen! Sunburst is an impressive piece of rock indeed. The great thing is that on many occasions Assiniboine is hidden by cloud but Sunburst being that much lower in elevation kind of saves the day as it isn't covered. You never know you might get there one day. Cheers!
Lovely image and video. That is really a great location.
James Johnston thanks again James! Assiniboine is definitely a wonderful location, especially when the weather is good.
Amazing landscapes, Adam !
Thanks! I appreciate the feedback.
Amazing video Adam. Congratulations and Merry Christmas!
Thank you, Antonio, Merry Christmas to you also.
Really beautiful! Looks like Matterhorn!
I do believe some call it the Matterhorn of the North. Thanks, Gheorghe!
enjoy you videos and beautiful website, keep up the good work
Awesome! Thanks, Clint.
Incredible place Adam!!
It sure is, thx Juanra!
This is my plan, to visit Alberta in this year ;) Thx, for video :)
good plan!
Reminds me a bit of the Matterhorn, what an incredible location
Yes, the Matterhorn of the north, cheers, Jon!
Cerulean Lake? We bath in beauty and wash our spit clean Adam. It's a take on John Muir. I think he would approve of the image. fabulous! All the very best. Mark
Very nice - I just discovered your channel and subscribed - looking forward to seeing more. I do not use filters when I shoot and so I enjoyed how you handled the last photo. Dave
David McCormack thanks! I do use filters but quite sparingly. The only filters that I generally use are a polarizer and ND filter. The grads I don't bother with anymore as it is so easy to adjust the images in processing, although that does take some extra work.
great video!!
Hey, Charlie! Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment, much appreciated.
Headed in next week! Hoping for great weather and clear nights for some astrophotography
Have fun, great place to see the stars.
Nice Adam, Love these BTS scenes to give me an idea of what's around the shot.
Cheers, Gavin! Would be great to do a collaboration of some sort. Looper perhaps? I have some material from Babel but probably not enough. I find it difficult to take video and images at the same time
Yeah I know. On the few times I've tried it you feel kind of torn between getting good shots and getting interesting video. We'll defo do a collab. I'm gradually gearing up to get some video done. Was that a GoPro you used for the handhelds? What's Looper?
fototripper some video is with a GoPro some with a Sony RX 100 MK III. Looper is the canyon not far from Nitinat on the way to Carmanah.
AAAH, sorry, the one we talked about. There's no way I'd want to be on video wearing a wet suite. I look like some kind of seal with limbs. When are you in the Rockies next?
fototripper not sure. Most definitely September perhaps earlier as well.
Great video and awesome location. Thanks for sharing. Will definitely have to do a trip there at some point. Can you recall the date/s you were there?
On this trip the end of June, great for reflecting ponds. fall is also a great time although more popular and harder to reserve spots at the cabins or lodge. Cheers!
Great, many thanks for feedback. Happy shooting!
What time of the year where you there. I'm thinking of doing the same trip.
This trip was at the end of June. Great time to go in my opinion. July the bugs start to get bad.
Did u come across any bears? Wondering if i should go alone or not lol
All the time, I wouldn't hesitate to go on my own.
@@QuietLightPhoto ok im.guna go for it, did u have any aggressive circumstances? Ill carry bear spray for sure
no very rare to have a bear attack plus there are lots of people in the area.
"And then I got the drone out" 5:23. The use of drones in Assiniboine Provincial Park is prohibited. Disturbing the peace and quiet of a place like this is a crime.
I agree, you're absolutely right! I am ashamed. Thanks for pointing out my error.
@@felipesilva916 good point I’ll have to re evaluate my actions.
I thought we weren't allowed to fly drones in Canada's Parks, were you granted permission? Just wondering because I was just there in January and I wanted to take my drone but was told that it was very difficult to get permission. It is a beautiful place there, I like you vlogs a lot, wish you success.
National Parks, no. Some BC Provincial parks, no. The rules around drones in Canada are not clear at all and depends on the location. There might be a no fly rule in Assiniboine, I don't know and I didn't ask because I can pretty much guess what the answer would probably be regardless if was a policy or not. I was flying the other day in a park and a guy came up to me and told me I couldn't fly in any BC provincial park because of the privacy act which is not true at all, i didn't want to get into a pissing match with him so I packed up and left, the message is certainly not clear so I fly first and ask questions later. Most of the time I keep my drone flying low key, less hassle that way. Thanks, Celso!
Adam Gibbs thank you for your answer and your honesty
