No-one on Cities Skylines has a bigger difference between pre-detailing and post-detailing. Literally every time, I'm thinking "Really?" before you detail it, and then by the end I'm wondering why I ever doubted you.
I like how you were able to make the absolutely mind-boggling terrible "middle of the field" spawned in buildings actually look good, well done! I still hope they remove those in a further patch though.

Realistically, all the fields would not have fencing or massive trees enclosing the property. Trees do separate fields and usually cover the back of the properties. You need to be able to get cultivating equipment out and in effortlessly. I drive by tons of farms on my way to and from work every day. Fencing is for the cows and goats I see. And the occasional horse. Otherwise, super cool build as always.

You never fail us with the detailing. The farms look so good on that sloped land. Great views from the roads.
Reminds me of driving through the countryside or playing farming sim. You did a really good job on this area I think.

Amazingly beautiful! Farms has been something I've struggled to make look realistic (or appealing). So much inspiration from this build.

Watching this has made me reminisce about visiting the various farms in my area of the world.
After all, New Jersey is known as the "Garden State"
There are plenty of nice farms here that welcome visitors.
The video makes me want to take another day trip to a farm. 😁
I take plenty of inspiration from when I was commuting to south jersey. Plenty right along 206.
Incredible looking farm area FewC - If there is any breweries in the game, then adding one to a farm should increase your beverages. You wouldn't believe how many farms in the UK actually have breweries on them nowadays.

Its gorgeous! A real Few Candy rural masterpiece! This is the kind of scenic rural area we drive to on the weekends for a Sunday drive.
If you put a hang around area around the animals, it'll better tell them where they are allowed to go and should function a little better 😊

I really love the high detail and close-up realism of this build, looks similar to places near where I grew up. Been watching your amazing detail work in both CS 1 and CS 2. Would be so cool to get some first person drive throughs, not only on this bit but throughout the entirety of Fewladelphia!!
Can definitely do a first person! I’m filling the gap between fewhaven and the farm next, so potentially after that!

Best ever pre and post build glow up. Farms are so much better in CS2 because of the non flat and multi shaped fields (CS1 flat rectangle ones sucked) Looks so much like rural UK, which is something I love to see.
Something that could look really cool with the touch of someone who's as detail-focused as you could be a housing development with ongoing construction?
If there is a lack of assets for that though, perhaps the construction site of a Lotto winner's newbuild house?

I would maybe suggest that the surface level electrical pylons would look nice along the rural roads rather than underground? They would blend in nicely (and we do see some of the larger ones across farm fields too!)
Also, we need a rural/region dlc where they improve farms and add more variety (and great opportunity to implement fences, hedgerows, water management, rural tourism etc.

The Farm animals need their own hang out areas or they will wander all over the map. You might have to look in dev mode to find them.

For small animal spawners.. if you place a “hangout area “ first they will stay in it .. but beautiful farm build :~>
0:50 there is a known bug with the beverages. Don't worry about it, it won't work.

Nobody wants the random buildings in the middle of fields… why does paradox still have these, no one wants them… it’s just odd
maybe you could make the yellow fields a bit darker with the custom colors surfaces pack. there are surfaces that make others darker... idk, just an idea

Thank you! It took about 5/6 hours in total! Actually a lot less than auridons farmland which took days haha!
Why not tunnel through the hill rather than road over it? It's easier, looks better and it's so much more reasonable.
Other than that the episode is great, as always!
For that building that pops up in the middle of a farm, why don't you just work with it and adjust the farm in front, then put non-functional machinery, or a yard (to make it look like a house, depending on the building), etc.? You cut other areas out of the farmland, just make them smaller so you still get your production, and then you have a sensible building.
Exactly. What you (FC) did to that random chicken coop in particular, integrate the randomness into the buid looks like the way to go with this situation.
Yep, really like how this works as you surface over the farm surfaces so can integrate them pretty good as long as they aren’t half way across a massive field haha!
