Both of these can sound great. Sony has more features. JBL trades features for the additional speaker for the low bass you can feel. I really like the look of the Sony though.

It's there, they have it there, you can feel the difference in sound in the comparison, at volume less than 70 Field 7 is superior in all ranges but the conclusion is sometimes worthy of a "JBL Partner"...

Woah1 Sony finally made a speaker that sounds comparable to JBL. They did good work on the field lineup. I want to hear the field 1 against the charge 5 when it finally comes out. Definitely not cheap is right 😂

It improves alot,if you like partying in your house that almost everybody can hear the music go for Sony ult field 7.Or if you like deeper bass go for jbl boom box 3.
JBL has a fair bit more definition with the drums and bass to my ears. Better instrument separation.

-That’s accurate tho- The BB3 is by far the clearest of anything of its’ size, especially at full vol (afaik anyway)

If it were me I would stand pat with the H10 and not dump it for the $500 Field 7.

Sony has made leaps and bounds compared to the trash they were selling before. The xb500 or whatever was terribly muddy and by far the worst speaker in its category. Happy to see they are back but I’m deep in the Jbl ecosystem and the bb3 is absolutely amazing in upper volumes while
playing basketball. I’d say Sonys second now but not too far off now
Yeah, like I mentioned, this Field 7 is certainly an improvement over the XG500 and it's "wrapped in a towel" sound.
JBL Boombox 3 has best bass at 60 -70%.
Sony at 40% then over that already more mid - upper bassy.
JBL for me.
Still nicer bass.
But both bass is not great 80%+.

I think the Field 7 is better than the XG500, but not sure if you already have the XG500 that it would be worth buying the $500 Field 7.

I love warmer and full sounding speakers, maybe that’s why I prefer the JBL, but sony is definite giving JBL a run for its money. Competition is good! Breeds innovation and makes better products for consumers

Sony звучи много странно, въпреки че вокалите са по-силно изразени, има нещо странно в него. Може би е от записа, трябва да се чуе на живо. Въпреки по-ниските нива на високите честоти Jbl звучи по-естествено... Освен това Sony има проблем със суб баса под 50hz звучи разкъсан, много странно.

I think what you mean is the Boombox 3 is a 3-way speaker set up, while the Field 7 is a two-way set up. That is correct. Boombox 3 has two tweeters, two mid-range and a (sub)woofer.

Amazon Vine reviewer here. I don't have the Boombox 3, but I do have 2 JBL Partybox 100's, and the Partybox 1000, Aiwa Exos 9, and Diamondboxx Model L. Both the Partybox 100 and Aiwa Exos 9 have deeper and louder bass than the Ultfield 7. They were much cheaper too. I think that under 50% volume the Sony sounds good. Once you hit 50% the bass is stuck and doesn't get louder and it just thins out and the highs and mids start sounding really harsh. It's not a great party speaker like it's being advertised. I would MUCH rather have my 2 partybox 100's in TWS with that deep impressive loud bass than 2 Ultfield 7's. The partyboxes sound good even at max too.
