I don't get why the movie had such bad reviews and a bad score overall, the soundtracks were amazing, the acting was great, the story was good (even if it was different from the book "The Vampire Lestat")

the movie was 90% amazing, the only 10% bad thing is the vampire running special effect that was not that good, but that doesn't degrade the movie in any way
Amoon This movie technically didn't get finished properly because Aaliyah had died. They just used what they had and completed the movie the best they could.
Some parts ran on a little long. Gets a little slow around the middle. That being said, this movie is one of my guilty pleasures. Was obsessed with it haha. The soundtrack is great, the concept is great. The acting is good, weak at some points. I don't care... love it.

A criminally under-rated film. If you watch the 'cut scenes' feature on the DVD release, I personally think the film would've worked better with them left in.

Somehow, I'm confused at how many of the scenes that were cut from the original (and then possibly added back in time for whatever reasons) made appearances in the movie. Personally, I don't understand why the film had plenty of scenes that were cut from the official release. Maybe 2-3 of them made appearances in the U.K. release? Hmm...

Chester was the singer for the album. David from disturbed did one also. Korn and other bands. Look up the soundtrack its awesome and the originals that Jonathan Davis did most of lestats singing vocals on a few songs along with his cameo.
