  • After L. Ron Hubbard's wife and other Scientology executives went to prison for covert actions taken against the US government, Hubbard went into hiding. His son (Ron DeWolf) sued to have Hubbard declared dead. DeWolf and Scientology's best PR guy ever (Robert Vaughn Young) spar on this late night show.

    His son certainly told the truth about his Father. It’s mind boggling that Scientology still exists. 🇨🇦

      scientology BARELY still exists, a shadow of what it formerly was, but enough that lil' Davey Miscavige could carve out a tiny fiefdom for himself and profit handsomely from it, not even attempting to deliver any of the once-promised services, so he has no future liabilities. Any money he gets from his "parishioners" is pure profit. now he has the marks building incredible "Ideal Orgs"/cathedrals which will never be fully used, but are capable of being "flipped" after restoration -- and they are owned by Miscavige's company, RTC, beholden to no one and nothing else.

    I still can't believe people fall for this Scientology scam.

      I believe people do fall for the scam, as I was one of them decades ago. The introduction, teaser, is subtle: that it's a science, an applied philosophy. Right from the first Hubbard is portrayed (by Hubbard, himself) as a superman who discovered arcane knowledge that can improve lives. It's only later that the hook is fully set, though, after we were properly hypnotized into being his slaves. -- Literally, for those who joined his "Sea Org" [organization].

    The irony of this interview being that Hubbard Jr went officially retracted all of his criticism and RVY became one of the Church’s most vocal defectors.

    How Times Have changed. But Not in Scientology. I truly believe what his son had to say. 100%. His grandson said similar things about L Ron.

      I don't think he said any were manifest. But maybe I just don't hear that in his voice. He didn't specfically make that apparent. I have every reason to think he doesn't believe anything necessarily manifest, more like just indicating that his father was Interested in such forces

    I knew a girl who helped run a vitamin supplement store up through the late 90's. She swore up and down that Hubbard was still alive and would often visit their store. This would have been around the Monrovia/Pasadena area as I recall. The store owner tipped her off because she had no clue who he was. She knew nothing about the cult and kept interactions superficial, like most retail employees do. She did say she believed he must have died 3-4 years after the announcement because he stopped coming around that time.

      Hubbard died in 86, his son LRH Jr, Ron Dewolfe, died in the 90s, and the other guy, Robert Vaughn Young (RVY), was a high level member of the Guardian's Office. His "junior" Gerry Armstrong had received the position of LRH biographer, and went out in the 70s, and interviewed everyone who ever knew "Ron" He had file cabinets of folders of interviews. He sent a preliminary report upline, and when they read it, they freaked.
      Gerry realized he'd better get out while the getting good, in the middle of the night.
      Next day, RVY is sitting in the office, goes, "I wonder where Gerry is." He goes over to the file cabinets, pulls a file, goes to his desk, and starts to read. He realizes everything Hubbard claimed about himself was bull 💩. He reads more, and decides he'd better get out too. Him and his wife Stacy leave but don't get far before they're found and dragged back.
      Months later, RVY, manages to steal a motorcycle, and with Stacy, there is a wild chase across the desert.
      They run to Washington state (I think) and have a kenneling business.
      Scientology actually sneak in, and kill some of the dogs, and the fight with Scientology is on.
      Bob Minton, a banker, reads about all this online and with RVY and Stacy form the Lisa McPherson Trust. They set up right across from the Flag Landbase, daily picketing them.
      I'll cut it off there.

      @acex222 7 днів тому +2

      What dots? Shelly isn't important. She was the wife of someone important, and we all know what happened to Mary Sue Hubbard. Scientology doesn't care about your connections unless they're financial. Being someone's wife or ex-wife won't help you.

      L Ron was living in a bus and falling victim to his own BS during his "missing" time. Jesse Prince on Xenu TV was there as damage control when L Ron died and saw the inside of the bus. Pills, Drugs, attempts at electro shock to get the "Thetans" off himself.

    • @seaglin
      @seaglin 6 днів тому +3

      I believe that Shelly miscavage has been exiled whereas Hubbard was willingly in hiding (from the law) and waiting for david miscavige to give him the "all clear" which conveniently never came.

    • @THEGUDEEFFECT
      @THEGUDEEFFECT 6 днів тому

      Has anyone else noticed that whatLRon Hubbard Did and believed such as not smoking enough will give you cancer. HE was a chain smoker. He disappeared willingly. So he wrote it's OK to exile others. He was just a Horrible person and he created his Cult to be Just like him. That's why being nice to scios never works. The mentality is like dealing with LRon himself. 1 bad apple soils a bunch.

    Anything Ron DeWolf said must be taken with many grains of salt. “Born again Christian” DeWolf was mixing fact and fancy so the sensationalism would appeal more to the fears and expectations of the audience at the time.
