This interview is great because it really brings out another element of the abuses of Scientology. Child/human trafficking, covering up crimes, fraud, elder abuse, scam, disconnection etc etc. Here, Jason really gets across the mental anguish and danger of the ‘tech’. I’d love to see Jason interviewed again now. In this video it feels like he’s just starting his deprogramming/waking up. He was just a thoughtful, curious person who wanted to experience an examined life and they got him and made him maddened.

I wanted to talk to Jason when this first came out. around 35:40 is is really talking about mind control. And the wins he is talking about are available in all manner of spiritual traditions, and the auditing the Co$ does is wait for it.... akin to psychology.. with the associated outcomes (wins).
The reason Scientology seems to work at first is because the auditing is similar to a modern day counseling technique called Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Similar to when an auditor asks you to look and focus at an object or spot on a wall. Apparently, the eye movements help you reorganize trauma events in your mind to a place in your brain that aids you in not making those memories so emotionally difficult to handle. Unfortunately, Scientology used the technique to control the person . Constantly trying to reach another win that never comes. Scientology stumbled on to something that worked, but used it for harm instead.

I am a never-in but just like so many, i see so many similarities with how other groups and religions, or individuals ( with some traits) can and do control people’s thinking. This interview spoke to me so much. Unlike Jason, I knew who I was, my whole life. I just didn’t know I knew. It took me a lot of introspection well into my thirties to understand that I know who I am. And that there are people like me. I find myself agreeing with many things (black & white thinking, always on the cause, otherwise not worthy and so on….) I hear about sci in videos and realising how easy it would have been for me to fall into the trap too in my twenties. By chance, I avoided all this while I was such a naive kid, and now, I would never believe the sci BS. Critical thinking should be thought in all schools from as young as possible. Why isn’t it more wide spread?
Ty mark for putting this back up so hopefully new eyes and ears can watch this and wake up themselves and leave scientology so if it just reaches one person who decides to choose life and live life instead of being on pause ⏸ its a success.
