Mine came brand new...everything was packaged from factory. Got it from Amazon. I believe it is pronounced Nu-X like nu-metal. I'm still trying to learn how to use it. Today I figured out how to make my own presets.
I mean.... most pedals come with no power cable so that’s at least a plus.... but yea that is definitely a used pedal and they should not have falsely advertised it as new....
Are you using the original power supply? If it's enough to powerup the device it shouldn't be a problem. Is not working only for some of the amps or for all of them? When you say it's not working do you mean that there is no sound coming through? If that is the case it could the mixer options - the volume of the amp pre-set might be turned down.

Yes, absolutely. It works great and I have no issues whatsoever. It work's great with both - my bass and my guitar.

How do you turn it off? I found no other way but unplugging the power supply even though it says just unplug the input.
That's what I'm doing too - unplugging the power.
The manual recommends unplugging the input that itself serves as a power switch of the device. Does it still not turn off after unplugging the input?

Yes, you do. However, you can use it as a pre-amp if your amplifier is quiet.
Or you can jam straight into headphones,there are two outputs.
