  • Hey Gearfacts geezers, a number of you have expressed an interest in hearing more clean and crunch sounds in my demo videos! Fair point, too, I do have a tendency to lean towards distortion (esp. fuzz) as it helps me sound like I have some idea of how to play guitar. SO - despite my musical limitations, here we have the very refined NUX MG-100 and a few of its cleanand mild options.

    Very helpful; however, it was not possible to see which knobs you were turning to get to the different effects cabinets amps, etc. Also you mentioned that one effect was connected to the pedal, but did not describe how to get there. I just bought one of these units, which came with manual, but the manual is not clear on results of various settings. If you could do another video with a wider field of view to include knob selection, that would be great!

    • @gearfacts
      @gearfacts  2 роки тому +1

      Fair point, the knobs were indeed out of picture as I used them. Basically they correspond with what's on the screen - if there are three knobs visible then they'll respond to the three physical knobs as if the picture was the actual pedal. It feels un-natural, for sure. As for assigning the expression pedal, I have to admit I can't remember as this video is from a long time ago and I don't have the pedal anymore. My strategy was always just to find a similar patch to what I wanted, and edit from there. Sorry I couldn't be more help than that! :)

    Hello Gearfacts,
    I have one final question. You allready helped me a lot! I subscribed to your beautifull channel! My question is can i switch with my feet between clean and distortion channel? This pedal is my first pedal and I am going to order it from China.

    • @gearfacts
      @gearfacts  6 років тому +3

      Happy to help out! Switching between clean and distortion requires setting up two almost identical patches side by side (patches 12 and 13, for example). One with the right amount of distortion and one with the right amount of 'clean'. Most other effects in each patch should remain pretty much the same, to keep it sounding consistent. When the two consecutaive patches are set up you can just switch between them using the left/right pedals. You can't switch distortion on/off within a single patch unless you are in edit mode and you use your fingers to operate the buttons, which isn't really practical. Thanks again for watching :)

      @NealNot 5 років тому

      @@gearfacts Hey! What do you mean by left/right pedals? I only see one wah pedal on the right. Also to switch between clean and distorted, I would just press down the wah pedal? Wouldn't it do wah or volume instead? Or do you mean to press down the fat square button on the right to switch to the clean preset you created next to your distorted preset? Thanks alot!

    Hellow! I have a question.
    Can we make a priority list of two to three effects that we want to use in a single song? Like for instance can we go to 7d from 1c straight away and then to 5a and tgen come back to 1c all by simply a click of toe?
    Can we simply cut the bowing down part and adjusting the tone with the knob when we are on a stage and only one guitar is being played and we can't afford to lose time of adjustment of new effect?

    • @gearfacts
      @gearfacts  6 років тому +1

      If it's a tap tempo option then can't a dotted eighth be manually tapped to whatever tempo in use? (Tempo set Via included drums / metronome)

      Ah yes, this is a weird part of it. I found that if you scroll to the right, it gives the upper set of EQ settings instead of the next effect in the chain. I'm delving into my unreliable memory though, hope it's correct on this occasion!

    • @gearfacts

      Well the G1xon has the clear advantage of the expression pedal. The sound is still more organic on the Nux but the G1xon is probably more fun and creative for most players. It really depends what you want in a pedal - the authentic sounds of the Nux or the crazy possibilities of the Zoom. Thanks for watching Gearfacts :)

      The 355 is more "serious" I think. The Nux is more casual and fun, more 'untamed' if you like. Depends if you are a guitarist who wants to create 'prefect' tone (Digitech) or a guitarist who just likes to turn it up and have a wild time (Nux)

      The Nux sounds way better. The GE100 is very chaotic though (if you like that style) and the big screen is an advantage. Ultimately it comes down to sound quality though, and all Nux multi-effects pedals perform better than the GE100. Thanks for watching Gearfacts!
