Hello, what if you married in a foreign country, whose wife and step children are immigrants, how will I get social security numbers for them “or” will they automatically get on with the A-130 application Ive already submitted with USCIS? And, Can I claim them on taxes? Thank you much

Hi, I recently received my work authorization. After i got married my last name change to just one. My EAD card shows my married name, but my social security card shows my maiden or birth name, according to my attorney I have to update my social security card to my married name, before applying for drivers license or jobs, is this correct?

Hello, thank you for inviting me, but I just found out from the Social Security Administration that they should automatically receive their SSN at the end of the process after they receive the green card. But now the question is, why does VA accept some veteran spousal request for benefits before they have a SSN if submitted in writing with explanation if they are already submitted the I-130A for, and others are rejected because the intake person doesn’t know what another does?
I followed the instructions of a call center representative, but whoever received my written application is saying something different. I found stories of the same kind of inconsistency online.

Inquiry: :K1 visa Port of Entry May 4 2022 filed Social Security Number May 19, 2022. queens NY Until June 19 2022 i have not received mail from Social Security. I called they response it was denied due to no signature photocopy of my PASSPORT , advice me to file again, Jun 21 2022 ill went again SS office during the interview but they dont get my docs they only tell me my K1 visa passport is expired JUN 9 2022 they ask my marriage certificate which i have married last Vegas Jun 17 2022. but i have only uncertified copy of marriage which original will be release on 10 days June 27 , 2022, however my 90days stayed stamped will be expired on Aug 1 2022. Question im not quite sure if another process need to include on this situtation. Can you help me on this to clear my mind? thank you.
My now wife arrived on K1 visa,
We applied for Social security cards 2 weeks after under her maiden name ,
They requested current I94, passport, visa and birth certificate
She was issued a card but our children were denied lol
It made getting them on my company insurance a little more difficult but we were able to get it done!
We'll give it a few weeks and apply for the name change.
I want to ask, is it correct to get SSN have to pay 1200 $ at immigration just for data clarification and get a new SSN..???
My wife already has a social security card with her maiden name, but she is filing for adjustment of status with my last name as a name change form. Will the adjustment of status form tell social security office to issue her a new card with the same number but new name, or would we have to go to the social security office to change her last name before we file the adjustment of status form?

hi i have a question, i am USA citizen my wife lives in Colombia. i have applied for I-130 still waiting for approval for the interview since march 8 20201. under what category she be under is it F2A? I was told she was not.
i was checking the visa bulletin.
i was told she is under IR1 is there a way to check?
we been married les than a year so she is CR1?

This may not be your area of expertise but taking a shot, hoping to get an answer. I am receiving my social security and My wife has received her "award letter" that she is eligible and is making her first visit to the US to meet her SS benefits requirements as a foreign (non-US-citizen) spouse which is to visit the US every 6 months for one month, (She is a Mexican).
I bought tickets to depart Aug. 19 and return Sept. 26, this is over the 30 starlight days in a row.
But then some people have been trying to tell me she has to be in the US from the 1st of a month to the end of a month, meaning the 1st of Sept. to the 30th of Sept.
How does that make since?
OK so which is correct? A full 30 days in a row or does it have to be the 1st to the end of a month like all of Sept?
It is not clear in the www.ssa.gov/pubs/EN-05-10137.pdf publication under section "Your right to Social Security
payments when you are outside
the United States" page 2 & 3 they sent her.
