  • How to fall asleep fast? Try an adult bedtime story. This long bedtime story for grown ups is to help you let go of thoughts and worries while helping you to fall asleep quickly, tackling insomnia.
This story was recorded during a livestream where viewers gave me ideas to create a story out of, I then ask them to close their eyes and adlib a sleep story for them live. This is the longest guided sleep meditation story that I have created so far. It is over 90 minutes long.
This healing hypnotic sleep story for grownups is in first person about you going on a cruise around the World. Out to sea, you notice a Humpback Whale breaching, notice a pod of Dolphin's by the boat. You relax back in a seat, letting your eyes close. You hear a distant Seagull, you imagine seeing through the Seagull's eyes, before finding yourself on a plane. You jump out of the plane and parachute down to the ocean below. As you hit the water you discover that you become a Shark and experience what it would be like to be a Shark swimming deeper and deeper in the sea reaching the bottom. You then hear the ship sounding its horn which brings you back from your reverie. You see that the boat is arriving at an island. On the island you follow a river past a waterfall and a lake. You find a dam built by Beaver's which has protected the village you have come from. You wander off to explore nearby woodland. As you explore, you notice a white Rabbit. You follow the Rabbit until it jumps into a hole. You head to that hole and discover that it is a portal to an alien world. On the alien world you notice lots of strange plant and animal life, including a palm-sized Dragon which befriends you. You explore the alien world and discover a floating robot which joins you on your journey as you explore a cave. You learn about an ancient civilisation that left these robots behind and created portals to travel around the galaxy. In the cave you discover an ancient temple. You explore the temple. In the temple you find another portal which takes you to a pyramid on Mars. From a location outside the pyramid you see cute and interesting space Rats which seem to be surviving here on Mars, before you then head down into a martian valley and find a portal which takes you to Earth. You find yourself in a palace and discover that it is actually a Roman Bath House in the past. You exit the Bath House and ride a white Horse down to a lake. You talk with a fairy by the lake and have many other creatures join you. The fairy leads you to a shack. You enter the shack and discover that it is much bigger on the inside than the outside. The shack is full of lots of doors and behind each door but one is a room full of doors. You enter the room with no other doors and find three paintings. You step into one painting, noticing that it is a portal and find a key, then you step into another painting and find a chest which unlocks with the key. Inside the chest you discover a glowing crystal which gives a deep sense of peace and calm and transmits the knowledge of the alien race into your brain, sharing the network of portals with you, sharing their location in space and time. After this experience, you leave the shack and find your way all the way back to that lake by the village. You rest by the lake gazing up at the night sky, you see the space station pass overhead and as your eyes close, you have a sense of being in the space station looking down on Earth. You then head back to the hotel where you drift asleep, aware that the next day you will be continuing your journey on the cruise ship, curious about what other adventures you will have.

Hi :) just wanted to say thanks for all the extra longer ones recently. I read a comment where you explain the longer ones are more difficult to do and more stressful. So just an appreciation comment to say thanks. It takes me a long time to sleep and the longer ones are the only ones that do it for me. I re-listen to all of the oldies but it's definitely nice to have some new ones to chose from :)

I love the long stories, even if I've never heard the ending of a single one! I think that knowing that the story is long really helps alleviate some of the anxiety I have that I'm not going fall asleep quickly some nights, and that helps me doze off peacefully. Thank you for that!! 🙏😴

I love that you obviously love animals and that you’re on the side of the “free” dolphins, not keeping them in captivity for humans’ entertainment. Your stories are wonderful and almost always send me off to sleep. Thank you ☺️

What I like about your stories is that they take me out of reality and into dreamlike situations. I often wake up in the middle of the night and can’t get back to sleep but listening to your soothing voice narrating a long fantastical story helps me to return to my own dreamland. Thanks for doing these.

I love this one! (Well I love them all😆)
I think you should do one where you walk into a closet, pantry, or a small bathroom & then voila, you are in an entirely different world…
(like how Narnia was found, or Alice through the looking glass!)😊😊😊

Recently became my new favorite sleep story. Insomnia has been hitting me hard the last couple of weeks and I tried everything but with work troubles, covid, buying a new house, and many other troubles stress has been taking over but listening to this knocks me out cold. Thank you Dan.

Dan, I have listened to this two nights in a row. I can't speak to the storyline (as usual!) because I fall asleep in less than 5 minutes. Thank you! 😴😴😴

After the livestreams I go to the Facebook group for a while to engage with those who watched (who weren't going to be sleeping just yet). I recorded this in the last livestream and it was a story that was almost 100 minutes long. I joked that I bet I get a lot of comments thanking me for the story and saying that they were asleep in five minutes missing the other 90 minutes of the story, missing the rabbit, robot, dragon, alien creatures, space rats, horse, fairy, space station, etc...

Yes, the dilemma of getting pulled into his stories only to fall asleep part-way through is a problem I think all of us have to battle. On the bright side, there are far worse problems to have.

Dan thank you for videos. I'm sleeping so much better now that I use your sleep stories.
Would you please do a sleep story for people who are easily upset our angered?
Or suggest one of your dozens of other sleep stories that could help with those issues

    • @teramitchell4074
      @teramitchell4074 5 років тому +1

You will find that all of his stories are designed to help with psychological health and healing in general. Thus, if you find a favourite, or just listen to one each night / a track all night, you will find that your psychological issues improve (dramatically in my personal experience). For that reason, he doesn't have the need to create stories that are directed at one specific issue. If you go to his chested play lists, many are categorized by subject, that may help you to find recordings that are most intriguing to you. The dragon series is one of his most listened to, perhaps that would be something you would enjoy?

I've had the same haircut since I was about 14. For years I would refuse to get my haircut until it became too difficult to manage and so would get my haircut about 2-3 times per year, but for the last 8 years I've got in a routine of getting my hair cut every 6 weeks, still always with the same haircut I've always asked for some being about 14.

Remember to look at a point in front of your forehead and keep looking at this point while you breathe slowly in and slowly out. Your Out breath being longer than your In breath. Make a playlist with your favorite Dan Jones videos to last through the night. Headphones on... And drift off. Don't worry about not sleeping. Concentrate on your imaginary point and your breaths. Sleep will come faster than you believe it will and without you realizing it.
Much luck to you. Wishing you your best sleep ever. 😊

If I need something to help me sleep I usually use sleep meditations, sometimes mine, sometimes something like Meditainment sleep meditations.
