Thanks very much for all your videos, very helpful. Would you mind doing a Days Gone 40fps best settings video? If not, no worries. 👍
I'll add it to the list for sure
The water was mentioned in the Digital Foundry PC port video.. they didn't really go into much detail ua-cam.com/video/D1iNSyvIPaY/v-deo.html around the 12 minute mark
Just been watching the Legion Go RDR2 game play and it looks like it pulling 60 fps no problem...
Be sure to follow our Games In Hand Channel - we'll be taking a look at that soon ;)
This is a great video idea! Provide the best settings for 40fps or 30fps on games! I hope you do this to other games too. Please make one with Days Gone. 🙏🏻
Will do!
Is there a way to get a stable 60 with this game?
Spoke too soon. Just ran a benchmark and literally all I had to do was change a single default setting. Specifically textures from ultra to medium. It’s 50-60 fps in the benchmark. Some drops to 40 but nothing major. Average fps was 52. Min was 23. Max was 70.
40 fps isn’t ideal for me. Thanks for creating this guide / video nonetheless, though!
@@sidular3149you're not gonna get stable 60fps with Triple a open world games on steam deck. Why would you want that anyway. The battery life is gonna last less than an hour. The game originally ran at 30fps on ps4,, and the deck is a little weaker than a ps4
@@Descending-melodies. You clearly didn’t read my other response. lol.
I was able to get it running at 50-60 fps stable. Just had to make some additional tweaks to the settings not shown in the original video, and we were good to go.
proton?
Is this game playable on steam deck right out of the box? I keep hearing theres issues like crashing every 30+ minutes, epic/RL versions don't work or you have to mess around with the steam deck itself to even run it. I don't really want to do any of that, I recently had to do a factory reset after a simple thing like changing from preview to stable channel, so I want to avoid anything that can potentially brick the console just to play one game.
This is using the default proton just fine, these are just tweaks to the settings to give the best experience but it will run just fine out of the box
My other apps says 1184
The game crashes a lot on Steam deck
You had medium to high settings but the trees looked hideous and the ground texture didn't look great either. I guess we need at least the 7840u/Z1 extreme to make the game look ok on all aspects.
Your water issue is weird, I get 40 in water no problem.
Have you done the UMA buffer change?
@@SteamDeckGaming no I haven't
Anyone else crashing pretty often?
It had any crashes. Installed on local or sd card?
I've got it installed on SD and never had a crash or issue at all in fact
Lol great minds I bought this yday on my deck and was very impressed with it so far. Only problem I'm having is switching to my pc the saves aren't transferring. I'm sure the game has cloud save through the rockstar club thing.
yes it does if you enable cloud saves on startup when it asks you
@@SteamDeckGaming hmmm I may need to look into this again as when I booted it up on steam deck it had my save from pc but when I switched back over to pc the next day it didn't save Any. Thanks for the reply though and keep up the great content
Thanks a bunch! Just need 100gb of space now....
It is a big game. Thank goodness for 512GB SD cards hehe. Couldn’t afford the 1TB one.
@@SteamDeckGaming Black Friday is around the corner
I try this but it didnt work. Still cant played rdr2. What a waste of money. Never download games that is not verified in steam deck.
The game runs fine what do you mean
@@Descending-melodies. The game run smooth after all the research, modification and proton update i did.
na. you can get much better visual quality with the same performance.
