I cry every single video. How someone could abuse an animal so badly and not face any legal repercussions when you can trace their ownership is absolutely reprehensible. Animal cruelty is disgusting and a crime.
You have to also wonder how many sales yards they've been to without food or water. That even pushes them over when if they would just help them out it would really help.
I really believe if their could be a law that if your animal is very under weight the owners should be looked up then locked up with only water until they loose as much as their horses had to endure. A law! Then maybe, just maybe this would stop.
They're so emotionally exhausted from all the noise, the strangeness, the hurt, the trauma. My own OTTB mare was like this when she arrived at my barn. She knew she was safe. Then, then begin to let themselves relax and adjust. I can't imagine how hard it is to go to a noisy place where people aren't kind, where it's all strange, noisy, and scary.
I felt the same. I just broke down and couldn't stop crying. He was saying thank God a gentle touch. I think I missed something: We're they able to save him?
The Navajo people have no fear with horses. I have seen several rescues that go onto the reservations and it is astonishing how they take horses off the range and within days have already been riding them. With Kory gone, something will have to give, as with no full time trainer the horse population is going to pile up so I see a slowdown in buyouts being necessary and really I am concerned that they are losing staff that perhaps became overwhelmed with the numbers coming in. Haven't seen Kimberly so hope she is ok, Kory's fiance/wife is she going to stay on? the other guy with the very southern accent, he seems to be missing again....in this video I am recognizing some faces from other rescue I think. I just found this buyout so much harder to watch on so many levels and I think I could see the face of Dr Gina becoming overwhelmed as well. In my opinion Horse Plus needs to reevaluate , dogs, cats, donkeys, horses, and who knows what, your spreading the staff thin and the donors not able to keep up with the huge increase in overhead to keep taking this many in even though so many have to be euthanized it still costs for the drugs and for the Creamatorium utilities.....I am just worried as things seem to be getting more hectic by the week and the staffing keeps becoming problem as well. This one was incredibly hard for me to watch - God Bless all of you at Horse Plus - saving these beautiful souls from further abuse. This just broke my heart 💔💔💔Very glad to be a supporter
These are the pure, unadulterated facts and realities of rescue folks. These folks are much better equipped to deal with the situations they encounter due to their experience. Let's not Monday morning quarterback them. Kind regards.
Absolutely true. These folks are the best. The hard but compassionate decisions they have to make are so heart wrenching but at least the suffering is over. And at the end the ones that are humanely put down knew love, food, water and kindness. Which is something they haven’t had in such a long time. Prayers for all hands on staff and the sweet horses. And hopefully good homes for the ones that go forward in treatment.
I saved my bo from a feedlot. He was 780 pounds when i got him. They brought him out and my heart shattered. The fact that he has been through so much and still has so much to give amazes me. After a very strict feeding diet he is almost back to where he needs to be. Mind you he is a thoroughbred and is 16.3
Just seeing them walk off that trailer is painful to me, how bad it is to think how long it took, how much neglect, to get in that condition. I am appalled. I am sick at heart. God bless them all. They did nothing to deserve such neglect.

Thanks Justin for the update video, and well done as well...good to see other rescuers on site, so many horse lovers here, makes me smile in spite of the sad ending for so many, but it's the humane way...thanks kids...!
I didn’t like the way the horses were pushed so harshly back and forward with that aggressive flagging. They had no idea what was wanted and had no time to process before being chased back to the other end. And repeat.
@@Golden1989-days the horses had no idea what she wanted. But, in fairness, the crew was working with about half as many bodies as they usually have. And it's always easier to learn when you're looking back.
@@Golden1989-days I agree with you on this particular buy out video for sure. Seems like when Kory is there and running things, they go smoother ( not so much chatter and joking around) I've watched 100's upon 100's of auction and buy outs, and I was very saddened by this one 😢. I know they were short handed but too many people there that aren't used to the way HPHS does things. I'm not trying to be ugly (I love HP) just seemed like poor, very scared, traumatized, and horses in pain were not treated with as much carrying handling as usual 😢 sorry 🙏
@@mikehenry6284 I agree 100%. I too think that the group is entirely invaluable for all they are doing for these poor animals. But, that doesn’t mean it’s ok to forget at any point the state of mind of these poor animals, where quiet, calmness and gentleness is pure gold to them. I do totally appreciate that the physical and mental harshness of the environment takes a massive toll on all staff. And this isn’t a staff bashing in anyway, but for those who commented “well this is the reality of every intake day at HP”well does that make it ok. No of course not. I think losing Cory is going to prove way too big a job for one person to fill. But best of luck and thank you to all at HP.
It would have been good to introduce the visitors from the Colorado & Hooker Horse Rescues who were helping out. New member may not know them. Also a good way to support other horse rescues
Doing a great job with the loss of staff, although this video was very chaotic. People talking over people, so you really couldn't tell what the vets and other staff were saying. Been here since season one. I live in Indiana, but, I would love to come visit sometime!! Like Niki "YOU CAN DO IT". ❤

Correct, I follow their site as well. I also watch Ali whose a Vet in Egypt. I wish to know what's going on in other part of the world is the reason I watch him. He does a wonderful job with bringing horses back from the brinks of death, Even the emaciated ones.
I always mark "like "only because of what your wonderful team does for these wonderful and so poorly treated horses. Otherwise, my heart is completely broken - how cruel; how despicable, and how very wicked of the people who owned these horses.
My heart breaks to see these poor horses suffered because the previous owner didn't get the help that they needed or just have the veteran give the last act of kindness. Thank all of you for doing everything that you can to save these beautiful horses. Please tell the people in the back ground to lower their voices. It's hard to hear what's wrong with each horse

So so sad 😢 how anyone that is responsible for an animal can treat them like this is beyond me 😢 it is hartbreaking.. thank you so much all you wonderful H P hero’s ❤
Hello again from Australia. Make sure you look after yourselves as well as the animals or you will suffer burnout. Increased sickness might be a symptom. Wow with all the complaints there should be stacks of people volunteering so they can show you how you should be doing things! As if! I follow a channel from the UK called The Eventing Journey. Latest clip is called Mule School, because they are also training another mule. That might be useful for your trainers to watch.
Sad to see so many horses just skin and bones! This episode was so unorganized. It was difficult to hear the vets speak and see rads. But, once again I thank all of for the difficult work you do!
Unorganized?? They are low on staff, and the young son of the owners is the one helping out with the media portion. The rest are trying to take care of, assess and treat quickly..deciding who needs what first, to make them more comfortable and out of pain! I think most of us followers, know they're doing just fine, considering the situation and amount of horses that just got dropped off!! 🤨
@@59Alaskan I realize that. It just seems that some of the horses got lost in the shuffle. I had difficulty hearing the vets & seeing rads. I find those very interesting. Not meant to be insulting or rude. The original episode that premiered last night, I started to watch was taken down as they felt the quality was poor. I praise Horse Plus for all they do for these animals. They are the true heroes.
@@gailwheeler470 it does seem ruff sometimes, but watching these videos, I see the struggle and try to just understand they are trying to do their best. Nothing wrong with advice from experienced rescues or just plain common sense, it's just the tone that needs to be fixed.. thnx!
So the Mustangs with the 4 numbers on the hind were used for rodeos as bucking horses? Our are they from BLM long term holding where they brand a number on hind as well as neck freeze brand ? Thank you for all you do!!! Just love you guys!!! ❤
God almighty please help our rescuers hearts to heal from the many breakings of rescue. We know who really runs the show, so we fight every day to show love and compassion, in spite of others. ❤
The second trailer of skinny horses look superficially healthy You wonder if they didn't want seen because if they were bucking horses they weren't meant to reach rescue? Good on someone bringing them to you
They are just babies so basically a bucking horse is a young horse who is scared and doesn't know what's going on....if they are young even with patience they can be turned around depending on how terrorized they are.
Ninja Star wars breaks my heart is to how many animals come to you abused and not loved they don't deserve that. So God bless you for doing everything you can even if it's the last act of kindness to give these horses the love that they so deserve. 💔💕🐎
I think some of the loudness was from the horses getting scared and running into/kicking in the trailer. I only saw once where a hphs memeber was tapping on the side of the trailer and the "effort" they were putting in didn't equate to the amount of sound I heard imo.
That was the driver beating on the trailer and he did everyone a great disservice. Justin had said that he might have an affliction with the local auction from which HPHS is banned. And as a sad reminder of what we are missing...I'm sure that would not have happened if Kory was standing at the end of the trailer!
You need to get a kind of tall dolly table for the vet to put the X-ray thing on while viewing the X-rays. That’s gotta be so heavy in the way she’s contorting to look at the pictures I’m sure that’s tiring. She (the vet) probably needs a good chiropractic visit after a day like this
your organisation is formidable. Have you thought about doing some outreach to communities that have these poor lymphadenoma outcomes? in the same way you do gelding procedures and teeth floats. It might be that people would welcome some education or training if they do lay treatments.. and might be keen to do peer education.. I've seen so many heavy horses at your place with preventable, fatal, lymphadenoma... might be worth a go??
❤❤❤❤❤breaks my heart! Thank you all for caring enough to do something. My heart is breaking. I don’t know how you do it. You have to be called of God to do this type of work on these poor horses. I bless you all and pray Gods blessings and favor over you all!❤
For a minute there I thought you found a horse I sold. She would of been 40 so I kept reassuring myself that wasn't her. Then I got to see her left shoulder and the birth mark wasn't there. Still looks like one of her babies. It was the dappled white mare that looks like a paso arb mix.
Thank you HP for everything you do. But: I’ve never heard such a noisy intake….. the raised voices (not the vets) are shocking…..I feel sorry for those terrified horses.
Both are amazing organizations. I remember when Pony Tales won the first Circle of Life, Horse Heroes contest. Well deserved and I hope more can get visibility on UA-cam.
I'm addicted to watching your videos. My heart goes out to those who have suffered at the hands of men & women who should know better. I have one request regarding your videos. Can the people working in the background, of where the video is being shot, please try to be a bit quieter? I would think the terrified horses would appreciate it too.

This breaks my heart😢. Thank You to the vets and others who do the best they can for these animals ❤
This one was incredibly hard for me to watch - God Bless all of you at Horse Plus - saving these beautiful souls from further abuse. This just broke my heart 💔💔💔Very glad to be a supporter
Such skinny horses. And the criminal neglect! I am glad they got to y’all!!
True. They don't need us second-guessing them when they're doing all of the yeomans' work.@@joanbryant4601
Dr Lidia , is the best vet i've ever seen ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I agree and Dr Gina! They’re both amazing at what they do!
AMENXto that!!!!! ❤😊
Dr Lydia is a beautiful soul ❤️
We grew up spoiling our horses, I’ve never seen horses with every rib & hip
bone showing,my 💔hurts!
I saved my bo from a feedlot. He was 780 pounds when i got him. They brought him out and my heart shattered. The fact that he has been through so much and still has so much to give amazes me. After a very strict feeding diet he is almost back to where he needs to be. Mind you he is a thoroughbred and is 16.3
❤❤oh my gosh, Carrie❤❤it's so great to see her along with other rescues there!!❤❤
Just seeing them walk off that trailer is painful to me, how bad it is to think how long it took, how much neglect, to get in that condition. I am appalled. I am sick at heart. God bless them all. They did nothing to deserve such neglect.
God bless you all giving these beautiful creatures what they need . You have huge hearts huge the personnel the medical the equipment the barns the land travel to D.C. changing improving laws educating. Been watching for a while now you have come so far. Giving hope for humanity with your love &care of these majestic animals. You all deserve the best of life &pizza too. ❤
The woman from Colorado Horse Rescue is helping out, right? So cool to see her so well!
At the barn i work at we have a horse with chronic lymphangitis, thank god her leg has never gotten that bad! There was only one time the swelling was swelling past the hock. But with antibiotics, wraps, ice, and cold hosing its been dormant for 2 months
You did an awesome job with the video!
Thanks Justin for the update video, and well done as well...good to see other rescuers on site, so many horse lovers here, makes me smile in spite of the sad ending for so many, but it's the humane way...thanks kids...!
God Bless you all❤❤. These horses just make me cry. Thank you for your dedication❤❤❤
Just want to hug them all 😪❤️
Boy, this was a ruff one😢
That was a whole trailer full of horses that were treated to all stick and no carrot. Terrified.
Trauma to trauma. No down time. Stressful for both man and beast.

I agree with you on this particular buy out video for sure.

I agree 100%.
Bless you for all that you guys do for the horses.
God bless y'all forever for saving and loving and helping those beautiful souls
Thank you all❤
Sorry to hear about Kory leaving, but I wish him all the best. I hope you're successful finding a new trainer.❤
When was it posted that Kory left?
Always so great to see Carrie, and looking so amazing. Unlike half of those horses, especially the first truck
Load, just a Bunch of skeletons 😢.
It would have been good to introduce the visitors from the Colorado & Hooker Horse Rescues who were helping out. New member may not know them. Also a good way to support other horse rescues
Good idea I've been watching but I still haven't heard of these two rescues.
I must have missed them on another videos.
Doing a great job with the loss of staff, although this video was very chaotic. People talking over people, so you really couldn't tell what the vets and other staff were saying. Been here since season one. I live in Indiana, but, I would love to come visit sometime!! Like Niki "YOU CAN DO IT". ❤
How this can’t be illegal is beyond me
Great job Justin, nice to hear what everyone says
I thank all of you guys for helping and caring for all of these poor starving horses 🐎🐎 they have hope with you guys to have a second chance in life but it is sad that some of them have to have the last act of kindness but at least they didn't go to slater you are angels to this beautiful horses ❤❤❤❤❤
That beautiful brown and white old guy is gorgeous all that splash love it
It does make quite a difference with so many staff not around for intake. It happens quite often. Well done J. You were fantastic.
Thank you, Justin. I like your commentary style.
Well Done,-- great Host!!! 😊❤
Fletcher farms rescues belgium drafts, also has experience with swollen legs
Correct, I follow their site as well. I also watch Ali whose a Vet in Egypt. I wish to know what's going on in other part of the world is the reason I watch him. He does a wonderful job with bringing horses back from the brinks of death, Even the emaciated ones.
Those numbers on the rumps normally mean that they are bucking horses
I did hear someone say that and I was surprised I didn't know that's what it meant.
@@kathleenmoyer5478 I see it a lot here in Tx because of the rodeos.
Great narration lovely and calm
Heart wrenching. 😢
I always mark "like "only because of what your wonderful team does for these wonderful and so poorly treated horses. Otherwise, my heart is completely broken - how cruel; how despicable, and how very wicked of the people who owned these horses.
I wondered what happened... I was watching it then suddenly it wasn't available! Glad to see it back and now I can finish seeing things... thanks!
You did a fine job hosting the video today!
Hi sent my donation today ! Thanks for taking care of these horses and I hope to adopt one in the near future! Lori from s Carolina ❤
Yes I agree about the noise. I couldn't hear what was recommended for the black horse with the pink harness.
I absolutely love what you guys do for these horses and animals keep up the amazing work ! I’m also really enjoying the switch up on the narrator for the main camera it makes the video more enjoyable to listen to and watch I’d love more of this ! I hope one day I can donate big to you guys in the future because we know this battle is gonna be a long one .
Nothing wrong with advice from experienced rescues or just plain common sense, it's just the tone that needs to be fixed.. thnx!
Put som oil and grease on the metalgates😮
Come fa un cosiddetto essere umano a ridurre cosí degli animali tanto nobili quanto indifesi
The second trailer of skinny horses look superficially healthy
You wonder if they didn't want seen because if they were bucking horses they weren't meant to reach rescue? Good on someone bringing them to you
They are just babies so basically a bucking horse is a young horse who is scared and doesn't know what's going on....if they are young even with patience they can be turned around depending on how terrorized they are.
The paint is a beauty!
Ninja Star wars breaks my heart is to how many animals come to you abused and not loved they don't deserve that. So God bless you for doing everything you can even if it's the last act of kindness to give these horses the love that they so deserve. 💔💕🐎
Oh wow, that Thoroughbred's sire is Violence, his fee is $40,000 this year but when JC's Champ was conceived the fee was $25,000
Wonderful host!
Well!!!! They are running off the trailer bc someone keeps beating on the medal, Scaring them!!!😮😮😮
I didn’t like that at all ! Have never seen Horse Plus do that before ! Unless it was edited out in the past .
That’s gotta be so heavy in the way she’s contorting to look at the pictures
I’m sure that’s tiring.
I bless you all and pray Gods blessings and favor over you all!❤
Prayers and Blessings ❤😊❤😊
Right. I saw this one already. I was hoping it was the mustang group.
Me too. Unsure what's going on with it being uploaded twice
For a minute there I thought you found a horse I sold. She would of been 40 so I kept reassuring myself that wasn't her. Then I got to see her left shoulder and the birth mark wasn't there. Still looks like one of her babies. It was the dappled white mare that looks like a paso arb mix.
I couldn't do this. I'm into this video 3 minutes and I have to move on. It hurts my heart.
Thanks!
The liced horse wanted to be near that one guy when he walked away.. bless his soul..😢
Thank you HP for everything you do. But:
I’ve never heard such a noisy intake….. the raised voices (not the vets) are shocking…..I feel sorry for those terrified horses.
It's nice seeing Dr Scott
I watch Poney Tales also. I love the work you do.
Both are amazing organizations. I remember when Pony Tales won the first Circle of Life, Horse Heroes contest. Well deserved and I hope more can get visibility on UA-cam.
I was getting a little motion sickness from the camera movement, however, I really appreciate Justin filling in for this buyout.
How could any one do this to a horse 🐎 that is Wong to do to horse and why you guys are so good with horse and find good home for the horse Nanette
I'm addicted to watching your videos. My heart goes out to those who have suffered at the hands of men & women who should know better. I have one request regarding your videos. Can the people working in the background, of where the video is being shot, please try to be a bit quieter? I would think the terrified horses would appreciate it too.
