These weighted horse shoes need to be taken to Tennessee State Capitol to show legislation what is being done to horses. Let the legislators lift these shoes and strap them to their feet or legs and ask how long could they wear them before it hurts!!!would they want this done to one of their pets.
Happy 20th Anniversary! I would like to rescue/rehab horses on a much smaller scale. Where do I begin? I'm in Washington State. I only have 10 acres in a rural area, but it is enough to help in some way.
Your principals are very highly based, perhaps those folk that accuse you of, putting everything down, don’t understand those conditions that require it. Saving the little mini from another painful road trip, is to be applauded.
You hit the nail on the head by saying RESPECT.. that is exactly what they deserve..and Horse Plus shows them that respect..from big drafts to lil minis..that's why I make myself watch even the sad parts..ive just cried with Dr Nancy about giving this poor girl the last act of kindness...something that should have been done bý her owner ages ago...same as with the poor white horse..so dehydrated..fgs don't these auctions give them access to water..surely thats a requirement..
Isn't she sweet.,got a bit of age but looks ok..personally I don't agree with them being ridden into the auction..they could be drugged up with pain meds and you dont know how much damage you might be doing..but then I'm a softy who hates auctions anyway..
I hope Dr.Nancy is doing well. Passion fatigue is such a problem in the Veterinary career. I can see the pain behind her eyes when having to give the last act of kindness. I hope she knows we stand behind her. And she is appreciated. ❤
Definitely!! Thank God she can always get a good paying job after Tawnee is thru & tired of her, along with the long list of others she has disposed of!!
I cried when they vet fed the little pony fresh green grass and just sat there quietly with her. You guys care and it sure does show. God bless you all❤
The day when giving these sweet animals the final act of kindness doesn't hurt, then it's time to stop. The fact that it still hurts means you're still human and doing good. Your heart is still in it.
I absolutely love Dr Nancy! She compassionate kind and loving to all the animals in her care. She does amazing work even when it comes to tough decisions.
Congratulations to 20 years of rescuing animals - and for 20 years of your marriage! Watching the celebration was so sweet. I would have loved to be there with you! Thank you for taking us along. Gosh so sad about the sweet mini! And it’s so true - animal rescue is tough, you see things nobody should see and no animal should experience. My deep respect and gratitude for all you do!
Really appreciate the medical and verbalization the morning after the auction. It helps us to become more acquainted with the individual horses and thus more invested in their welfare on a personal level.
Going to miss Rebeka and David!!! They were such a wonderful part of the team at Horseplus. Another successful rescue, saving 20 precious lives from the slaughter pipeline. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication.
I’m going to truly miss seeing Rebekah and David!! Again I really miss the long intake videos when you get back to the shelter!! Also congratulations on 20 years!!
Yes. The intake process is more efficient but seems a bit as though we don’t get to know the new horses as much. No complaint, just an observation. We 🤍HPHS.
What a lovely lady who came to visit. She really said things about Tawnee and Horse plus that we all feel. I know every one of us who has supported horse plus in any small or big way are just so proud to be part of it. I couldn't do what you Horse plus guys do. I would crumble so I mean it from the bottom of my heart when I say, I appreciate you and all you do. ❤
Tawny I love what you and your staff do. Could I please ask you not to be so negative that all the ones you talk about are going to die. When you are at the auction I really don't like to listen to you. That doesn't negate the work that you have done. Please let the vets say what needs to be done
I love seeing them running on the pasture. I hear Born free in my head and think back when I was a child and looked into a horses eye and saw them running free on open land full of joy.
I feel blessed to be able to watch your guy’s work from my phone. It’s so inspiring and once I move my dream is to work for a place that cares for all animals like y’all do. Thanks for 20 years of rescuing those without a voice and saving all regardless of condition and age. God bless you guys
Good group of horses. They looked like they were very happy too get out on that grass. I sure they were ready too eat! So how is Doc & & Dr Lidia Doing? Haven't seen them for a long time. It would be nice to see them come by & say hello. Some of us are very fond of both of them. If they can't stop by & say hello at least let us know how their doing & what they are up too these days! Please! Thank you! 😊
@@juliamclane8319 Well, Thank you! I didn't know Doc retired. I hope he is enjoying his retirement & is happy, healthy & out of harms way. Glad that Dr Lydia is still in the area & able to help out when needed. God Bless you all. 🙏

Thank you for saving 20 horses from the auction. The last act of kindness is always difficult and it wears on rescuers hearts. God keeps you all strong to continue on rescuing as many as you can. ❤❤❤❤
Happy 20th Anniversary Horse Plus and Jason and Tawnee!! It’s heartbreaking to say goodbye to these sweet souls that had to have the last act of kindness.
A huge variety of topics covered in this episode from meeting people who traveled near and far to be apart of the 20 year celebration to saying goodbye to two wonderful young people we have met and loved for their vibrant personalities and dedication to Horse Plus. I wish you all the very best in life, David and Rebekah. Tawnee and Jason congratulations on your long journey in the world of horses as well as the wonderful marriage and family you created in these years. God's blessings to you both. I can never find the words to adequately thank people who work tirelessly at Horse Plus year in and year out with the heartbreak of how, as a species we can treat animals in such a manner, it must be so hard to sleep some nights and to the joys you feel when an animal is finally well enough to be adopted and that perfect family comes along to give them a forever loving home, keeps you striving for a better world for humans and animals because we cannot live without the joy of our beloved companion animals in our everyday life. God bless you all and I pray he will continue to give you the strength to continue. Thank you.
Can previous owners be held accountable for taking them to auctions and leave them in pain it’s so wrong. I couldn’t do it break my heart but that poor little mini that was bad and it shouldn’t have happened so I hope the original owner got pulled for it and you guys do a brilliant job it won’t for you all those horses that you get would have suffered badly. You guys are amazing. I’m in the UK and I say well done thank you for all you do. I know it’s hard, especially when you have to give the horse the last act of kindness it breaks my heart to watch it, but I know how you feel but think of the other horses you save 😊
Happy 20th anniversary Horse Plus! Bye to Rebecca and David, hope you guys have a good time with whatever you do next it was lovely knowing you guys during your time at horse plus
Yes, giving the last act of kindness to an animal is the black side of being a vet...One point is to know that this is the best in this case, but the other thing is to look in the eyes and to finish this life. I've got huge respect for your work, this means the whole team.
It's so nice to hear you Tawny, acknowledging your faith & dependence on God🙏🏻💝🙏🏻 I know He sends His favor before you & empowers you to do this wonderful work that you all do!!!! Blessings💖🙏🏻🥰
Does HHP ever work with a veterinary school on some of the more unusual cases? That would help get the animals treatment and give the vet students the opportunity to have hands on experience. Also, I would love to see it if you could add acupuncture and chiropractic to what you can do for the animals.
God bless you for the 20 years that you have accomplished. May you have many many more years of great accomplishments. You all are heroes for the horses, donkeys, cats and any other animals that you rescue. God has a place in Heaven for all of you, and when I can I do plan on sending something in because I do support you💕🐎🐈⬛🐾🐕
Congratulations on 20 years! I have never had a horse, but I so appreciate what you have accomplished in such a short time. I want to compliment Dr. Nancy. First of all I love her southern drawl especially when she calls one of the horses “Darlin’”. But her organizational skills are fabulous! It seems to make the whole rescue process go smoother.
I love your vet Nancy. I honestly wish I lived closer to you because I would love to work for you. And God bless you for saving those horses and I pray that they all got rescued and nobody went to slaughter
I love it that you said "It's all God's blessing"! And that you've said in other videos.."God first, family second, and then saving horses!" God is blessing you and Jason for what you are doing, and your loving caring hearts for those animals that can't speak for themselves. It is HE that is drawing so many folks to you, to donate and support your ministry. I think that the Lord is very pleased with your faithfulness!
Congrats on your 20 years together and as an organisation. Phenomenal episode. Soooo AWESOME to see so many gallop off in a green field. My heart feels full. Thank you x
Jason & Tawnee you both are phenomenal human beings for doing all you do, for not giving in or giving up on your cause with all the negative folks trying to slander HPHS... THANK YOU! YOU ALL ARE ANGELS & ABSOLUTELY AMAZING PEOPLE WITH HEARTS OF GOLD! Keep up the great work!
So glad to have been there. You all worked hard to set it up (and of course take it back down) but it was a great way to share. Congratulations to you both for all that you have accomplished as well as a great marriage. (you both look much younger in person)

Tawnee…super duper. What an idea…..along with the auction, you’ve taken your visitors on a tour of the facility, a wonderful idea for an auction anniversary.
A friend of mine told me yesterday that in Greenland people believe that if it’s raining on your birthday it means the gods are jealous of you My favourite part of auction intake is when the horses run out into the field 🥰🤩 it reminds me of the happy cows getting out in the spring after a long winter inside here in Denmark 😁
I've watched utube on the slaughter pipped line and it broke my heart ❤️ to see them in the holding pens awaiting the meat transporters just so hard to see so to watch these horses run out onto your 10 acres made me cry because there no suffering I know there will be ok fed loved thankyou to all of you for your dedication and time you are truely incredible ❤️ sending hugs to Dr Nancy it's hard to watch her cry she is amazing love to you all
Thanks to you all at Horse Rescue for all the work you guys put in for animals that need you so badly! God has to intervene and guide you folks to the horses that need you !!❤️❤️
Very emotional. Thank you so much for your outstanding commitment for neglected horses, keep up your great work. Dr. Nancy is an outstanding equine vet. Greetings from germany❤️
Happy 20th Anniversary of rescuing horses! We love watching and supporting Horse Plus Humane Society! We are going to miss seeing David & Rebekah working at Horse Plus Humane Society but we do wish them the best! Congratulations to the Horse Plus team on rescuing 20 horses even though 3 of them needed the last act of kindness! Hopefully all of the rest of those horses continue on feeling better at Horse Plus! From, Amy and family 🤠❤❤❤🐎🥳
That standard bred mare that lost her baby stole my heart. Ut vreaks my heart to see it. My mare is a retured broodmare and now a barrel racing horse for youth and myself, but everytime she sees a foal she gets so attached. If i was looking i would adopt her. Poor baby. Its so sad how much broodmares miss their babies
I think you are all a wonderful group of caring people who give so much to look after all the beautiful horses you manage to rescue. Please carry on with your good work. ❤
WOW 😮 What a great bunch of horses rescued. Your always going to have a few that unfortunately can't be saved due to owner neglect 😢 but out of this bunch, so far, only 3, needed the last act of kindness. AND, y'all got some younger ones as well. Just a great looking bunch, sooo happy 😃🐴. I'm a little worried about the paint that tried jumping over the panels at auction, he's possibly dangerous 😮 so y'all please take extra precautions when around him. Excellent 20 year party celebration 🎉. Lots of fun 😄. Sure gonna miss the 2 people HP is losing 😢 but I wish them all the best ✨. Again, simply awesome having Dr. Nancy on board, especially when going to auction, cause without her that poor little mini might of had to try and make the trip back to HP and that would have been terrible for that precious little thing 🐴. Tawnee, I agree with you 💯 percent, nothing better than seeing all those beautiful horses running free on the 10 acre pasture 🐎. No more fear in their eyes, and they can relax and enjoy just being horses. Great job y'all 👍!! Praying 🙏 something can be done for that poor young horse with the severely messed up jaw, mouth, teeth, whatever..... 😢. Love and Blessings to all at HPH ❤️🙌 Jennifer
It's been a long time since we've seen them run out to the pasture....which is what brought me to this channel (plus other stuff). Even today, it wasn't like the close to the ground running of yester year. What's w the drone - there's a time & place for that. Not for letting them out into the field. Glad Tawnee made a point on cam of her fave moment.
Our 25 yr old gelding is missing teeth too and he also spits out chewed hay. He has a great body score because he's able to eat chopped alfalfa and keep his weight up. He can still eat his feed too. He's a good boy. He tries to eat the mares hay and it's laying around on the ground chewed up too.
Your "20th" was so great!! One day I hope to come visit. You do such a great job- helping, loving, curing all the animals that come there. There is sadness to when you have to give the last act of kindness. So many times while watching I sit here and cry right along with all of you. You do an awesome job. Keep up the good work!
Having Dr Nancy is such a wonderful blessing for this organization. I love the way she explains so many things, you can tell her heart is really in this so prayers that Dr. Nancy stays young and wonderful for many years to come and chooses to stay with Horse Plus and help all these God's creatures. Other rescues would LOVE to have the good fortune of an on staff on property VET.
Could you please do a follow up on the horse with Wry nose in your Horse rescue Vet videos. This looks like such an interesting subject to use to educate people on horse defects.
I absolutely love you guys!❤ I have been watching for years, and I had actually donated a while back, but wasn’t 100% sure you guys ever got it. I never stopped watching though every so often!❤
ok, yup Dr. Nancy got me. sorry for the toughness of this job. I guess knowing what that paint pony has been through was hard to take. Gotta wonder how these auction company folks sleep at night.
I'm so disappointed that I wasn't able to be at your 20th anniversary celebration. It looks like it was a really fun event. I'm really surprised that the barn wasn't standing room only. But your followers are with you across the miles in spirit. Love you guys and CONGRATULATIONS ON 20 AMAZING YEARS of saving so many precious lives!!!
I just love Dr Nancy when she talks it is so great to hear. I'm Southern born and raised and everyone says my accent is pretty much like hers THICK but of course you can't hear yourself. I only hear normal talk 😂 but even tho I'm as country as a country fried steak I love to hear her talk!!!! 😊❤. I have been a sub since your very first rescue the lil Amish horse you went and picked up and brought it back to just a field. You had no buildings or anything yet. You have grown so quickly and into such a massive sanctuary for these precious animals. Hopefully one day I will be able to come see them and meet you and your great staff. I love your videos and am so excited when I see the new one pop up. I hope you just grow even bigger and continue to be able to do this amazing work for these majestic creatures.
The 20-year documentary was so interesting and full of hope, joy and accomplishment. And a look at some of the immense challenges along the way. So happy that you got to share a party!

Totally agree
And have them walk piggybacking a kid with the weighted she's strapped to their ankles
If only horses could vote.

Where do I begin? I'm in Washington State.

Yes, take them there. What a great idea. Let legends later. See what happens to weighted feet Tennessee walkers. From the big lick.

I really miss the full vet assessment back at the facility after returning from auction.
Dr. Nancy is wonderful.... if people can not say anything positive then keep it to yourself... these are good people
These poor darlings...so glad they are getting the respect and chance they deserve.

I was the same until my dad bought my daughter a Shetland pony.❤ 😂

I felt so privileged to be one of those watching on the live and be able to donate to such a beautiful cause! 💜💙
Took me a while to figure out Dr. Nancy was talking about a horse with "Wry Nose" not "Rhinos". Bless that horse.
Watching this from Norway, I wish that I could have come to the celebration
I think you are all a wonderful group of caring people who give so much to look after all the beautiful horses you manage to rescue. Please carry on with your good work. ❤
My heart was in my throat the whole time that pretty little pinto was stuck!
😢. Love and Blessings to all at HPH ❤️🙌 Jennifer
you see now the hard work fall into place - and these are better enjoyed - as you are now better set up - love to see you for the next- 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Keith, can't believe you didn't take the opportunity to sing Dolly's '9 to 5' when moving the horses!!
Great episode everyone 👍. Number 20 seems to be the lucky number for HP. Anniversaries and 20 horses saved 😃
Congrats on 20 yrs married! What an impressive milestone. God bless the both of you and 20 more years to come!!
Bye to David and Rebekah…such genuine lovely people. Best wishes on your next endeavours.
Good job HPHS!! ❤️
What a wonderful organization and great team. My favorite channel!
🎉Happy Anniversary guys! That's a lot of hard work, both marriage wise and and hero wise.
Wow guys! That was the whole shebang! Everything from a 20 year celebration to another successful auction rescue . . . Wonderful! Wahoo! 🤠🐎🐎🐎❣
Your "20th" was so great!! One day I hope to come visit. You do such a great job- helping, loving, curing all the animals that come there. There is sadness to when you have to give the last act of kindness. So many times while watching I sit here and cry right along with all of you. You do an awesome job. Keep up the good work!
I’m really sorry about the little mini, it’s so sad but appreciate it is best to give her the last act of kindness. 😢
❤❤❤ THANKS THANKS AND MORE THANKS. Hughs and kisses for all the voluntaries and horses😊😊😊😊
God bless your 20 years of success in compassion for animals! Looking forward to learning what will be done with the wry nose young horse.
juat donated for your upcoming auction hope it helps
You all are a machine! ❤ No stopping the saving force.
I've lifted hay bales and they are heavy , especially when I had to toss them also!
Congratulations on 20 years congratulations on 20 horse love your mission want to watch you grow in the next 20 years❤
