My grandfather's hay barn was built the same way.. most of been 60years when the roof collapsed.. trees he cleared from the farm.. I love farmers way of life..I miss it so so much..respect Otto..respect

Careful you don't over stress yourself, Otto. Of course, from what you said about building the pole barn, I think you and I are the same age. But you could run circles around me, and I would get worn out looking at you do it. I remember the episode of everyone repairing the pole barn. Hope you saved it after the winds died down.

Time to build a legitimate engineered Barn with gables & a hay loft. Either buy the lumber or saw it from a mobile saw mill. It will give you 10-20 episodes for UA-cam to pay for it. Never been sea sick Otto🙏🙏 but I’ve seen many a sailor who was, been in hurricane force winds several times 😳

HEY, just a bush way of fixing sound in strong wind, use moss to cover the microphone in windy conditions, it works great

Hello Otto. Don't understand how just having a small roof over hay, with no side walls is supposed to keep it was getting wet and moldly. I have seen your building abilties and know you can build something a lot better than what looks like tootpicks with a roof and expect it to hold. I would of planted a bunch of steal braces and poles in the ground and attack the roof to it and make it a lot better and more sturdy.
The hay gets wet but dries fast due to being open. The roof is for stopping snowpack from sitting on hay witch does mold hay.
