- The 2001 World Series is one of the greatest championship series ever - maybe THE greatest. Certainly the fans' sign-making was upper echelon. And Tim McCarver's analysis was prescient. We break down the biggest calls, including a comparison of Luis Gonzalez's game-winner on Diamondbacks radio, Yankees radio, and national TV.

Here's to you, Greg Colbrunn.
Would love to hear you guys breakdown the different calls for the Cubs winning the World Series in 2016.
I know John Sterling drew his share of derision over the years for some of his shtick, but Luis Gonzalez's hit is one of his better calls and should be considered such. He said what happened and immediately put it in perspective, not downplaying it because it was for Arizona. That's the service you should do your listeners no matter which team has that big moment.
love your stuff. I am trying to find WEEI in Bostons radio call for Aaron Boones walk-off.
If you find it, let us know!
