  • Typical Mardi Gras organizations will form a "krewe." A krewe often names their parade after a particular mythological hero or Greek god. The ranking structure of a Mardi Gras Krewe is a parody of royalty: King, Queen, Dukes, Knights and Captains...or some variation on that theme. Many more established Krewes allowed membership by invitation only.

      My condolences to you and your family thank you for being apart of a culture that so many take for granted I've always dreamed of masking but katrina force migrated me to Texas and i have little ties to a tribe back home long live big chief bookie!

    This is pre Katrina action right here grew up on orleans ave this was my favorite thing to see on Mardi Gras yeah zulu is a beautiful watch aint nothing colder than a big chief and his tribe fasho!
