I saw him in a documentary about autism when he was ten. It was amazing. I get a feeling that Dustin Hoffman came to London and met him when he was about to start filming Rainman. It was just after the documentary, and I bumped into Hoffman around the same time.

Your son doesn't need to be a savant or a genius to lead a happy life. Autistic people have just as much right to live a happy life even if they're just mediocre.

So he, basically, had nothing to say until he was five. He spent all that time structuring his mind in ways we will probably never understand, especially, because of the labels put on people when defining "normal".

Uummm,, isn't he taking pictures of it at the very beginning of the video ??? Am I the only one who noticed ?? I'm a re-creation artist too, and I work off of pictures, as does every re-creation artist out there. None of us rely completely off of memory to recreate anything because memory is not 100% reliable, even if it's an iconic image that we've seen thousands of times. We can use memory to fill-in mundane unimportant details that no-one would ever call us out on for accuracy, but that's it, even with photographic memory, artists only remember they obvious main subject matter, and up to 15 minor details. 15 being the absolute most that a trained observer, and/or photographic memory, can retain for any length of time. He's obviously a very talented artist, but that wall done completely from memory cannot possibly be accurate. Genius I.Q. has nothing to do with memory. UPDATE: I see from another video that he is diagnosed Autistic Savant, That's a whole 'nother world,, but even that doesn't negate the fact that he's obviously taking pictures, from a helicopter, of the skyline, at the beginning of the video. If that was edited out, and the fact that he is Autistic Savant was included somewhere, it MIGHT make the impossible claim a little more plausible. He's amazing enough on his own- no need to try to give him super powers,, I'm sure he would agree, because in my experience with Autistic people..... they are incapable of lying. Asperger's is completely different, even though it's regarded as a form of Autism. SOME- Asperger's sufferers are known for lying, especially after committing crimes. UA-cam channels are WELL-KNOWN for lying, and flat-out deception, just to get views. I don't care if you don't agree with me or are offended by my opinions or observations. I have over 50 yrs. experience watching, experiencing, and living in this world, and I simply call it how I see it and/or know it to be. PEACE

if u really are an artist than you would know that most of the detail is noise. You only need to remember the big shapes and the noise is something you spam without the need to have ref. He also draws live in front of an audiences and cameras. You dont need photographic memory for 90 percent of his art. But the other 10 percent is what matters. Everyone needs to ref to copy the 10 percent, but with photographic memory, u can do it without the ref. Hence why its called Photographic memory. Thats what it means. ITs in the name
