i saw on another video you said you aren’t a native english speaker but your english is so good dude. good video, easy to follow, and it looks fun. gonna try and build this in my trials of tav playthrough
You killing Gortash in Darkness while everyone just stood there like 🗿 was pretty hilarious 😆, I tried both Sorcadin and Baradin on HM so time to let the lockadin shine! Thank you for the breakdown 🙏🏻
nice build video. nothing too fancy, short, containing all relevant information. for non honour mode, would it be better to go 6-6? Do the bonus attacks still stack?
Thanks! For that I would go Warlock 7 / Paladin 5. I'm pretty sure they still stack in tactician and below (although I don't actually 100% know if they do).
I feel like you could skip the hags charisma buff and use that on another character, and get the extra plus 1 to charisma from the mirror as well. Im also not totally sold on taking 2 more levels into paladin for the ASI instead of 2 levels into fighter for action surge. Looks like a fun build, ill have to try it in my own run now.
That’s true. I never run with a party so I don’t take that into consideration when I plan. It is a long time to delay the +1 but with a party it might be worth it. Good idea 👍🏻
Having a playthrough with this build right now. One shot ketheric on the rooftop last night. Going to head down to myrkul tonight. You give me any tips on how to approach the fight? Can't see how you'll be able to do the full buff setup etc
Yeah Myrkul got too much hp to one-shot. I personally skip making Ketheric jump into the pool. I like to open up on mindflayer and take that one out first from invis/stealth. Will give you a surprise round. Then kill off all the skeletons+brain dogs before killing Ketheric. When the big skeleton guy pops out you can do roughly 100 hp damage before he starts to eat/finger of death. Once he's that low you can pop Hunger of Hadar and make sure the 2 "ladders" up to his platform is covered by it as well. It will slow them down and make him unable to cast finger of death on you (at least that worked last time I had Hadar there). Then pop a haste spore grenade and coat doom hammer with whatever makes it ignore resistances and go bonk. Good luck!
@@FriendlyLich Ok so it worked perfectly. This is actually an insane build. Love it. Only mistake I made was I missed the surprise round. Had scratch invis up to nightsing I was up beside the mindflayer with an invis mage hand. Went to take out a few grenades for my mage hand and I had no idea placing in the world broke invis. I thought it would be fine because it takes no action but apparently not haha anyway it went well after that so thank you for the tips 👍
@ Ah yea that does break invisibility. Glad it went good though! The build is just super strong and a lot of fun! Onwards to act 3 with you! Edit: don’t understand why the UA-cam app keep removing the username that I reply to. Seen it happen to other commenters too :/
Haha I love that game (and Owlcat's games in general) but I'm not very good at it. I'm not sure how good/fun it'd be too watch either. Their OST is pure bliss too!
How crucial is the axe to the final build? Does it add a lot or is it just for immersion for the Hell Knight. Always thought Heat was kinda rubbish. Only +1 fire damage right?
So, it is not mandatory, but it is really sweet. On crit it adds 1d12 slashing and 1d6 fire. The heat is kinda rubbish as you say, just a very tiny bonus. It also got an (imo) underrated cantrip called Hellflame Cleave.
Awesome build! Question you said chug potion of hill giant strength before smite, now that’s when your on the warlock side right? Do I need my strength that high?
Thanks! Exactly. So my reasoning for this is that (specially before getting pact weapon) we will have very little melee power and the elixir will help out a lot with that. Also, before getting our charisma up it also helps with accuracy. If you wish to cut down on the elixirs I'd suggest switching the order which you take the feats and go ASI - Savage Attacker - GWM. Hope that helps!
The only thing that stands out to me is that you're locked to two upcasted smites. Enough for the biggest threat of the fight, but after that, before short resting, how does the build perform? Another thing: don't sleep on the spell command, for its low level, the utility is insane.
For the first acts I dropped hadar or piled up monsters for a good hit with fear or fireball. After one-shotting the boss I mean. 10 rounds of hadar ends most fights 😅. Act 3 I sometime ran away when I did not need the xp or couldn’t be bothered. I love command, just wanted to (try) do something different with this and go with a theme. Edit: just woke up and on mobile. Hope that was somewhat coherent
I know I know Tactician ew but this build also goes ridiculous crazy on tactician with 7/5 Warlock Paladin. Crapping out short rest smites, getting 3 attacks, and then killing someone with bloodlust and getting three more.
Why not just respec at 6? I feel like the first paladin level is kind of pointless considering there’s no good heavy armor for the first few levels and with 16 dex you’ll have decent AC in clothing.
i saw on another video you said you aren’t a native english speaker but your english is so good dude. good video, easy to follow, and it looks fun. gonna try and build this in my trials of tav playthrough
I appreciate that! English is my second language since I’m from Sweden. Thanks again. Have fun with it. I got to try that mod sometime
This is my new favourite build of yours. Used to be the knight of tiamat but this takes the cake 🎉 guess i have a soft spot for warlocks
Oh awesome to hear that! It kinda slaps 😅. I love warlocks (and necromancers) myself in most settings.
I love the fact you actually break down which act you het equipment in. Every other channel just throws it at you
Keep up the good work
Thank you! It's how I like to see build videos so I try to make videos I'd want to watch myself :D
Fantastic video. Best presentation of pertinent information I've seen and the demo was very impressive. Thanks much!
Thanks!
Love the WOTR music in the background.
Such a good soundtrack!
dude, when i heard the devil path music playing, i was soooold.

Hah yeah they didn’t particularly mind Gortash getting slapped around 😅. Hope you enjoy it!
amazing edit.
Thanks, glad you think so! I try to improve with every build video
Great build. It seems dolormarus items add to every instance of crit damage. Just curious if this got better with 2 dagger of dolomarus ?
nice build video. nothing too fancy, short, containing all relevant information.

Thanks! For that I would go Warlock 7 / Paladin 5. I'm pretty sure they still stack in tactician and below (although I don't actually 100% know if they do).
This looks amazing. I'll save it for a tactician or honour run if I get to that point.
It is really funny with those smites. Enjoy 😊
Ok just gotta say…. Using The Darktide OST was a banger move
That song is so good!
Soo wicked. Those numbers are insane 😃
It does go kinda hard 😅. Was really surprised of the damage output
@ im going to try it in a duo run with my favorite cleric/bard..
@@Drakkman1978 May the smites be in your favor! o7
@@FriendlyLich haha yeah. Just waiting on all the new subclasses. Besides. Duo runs are growing on me

Im about halfway through my first honor mode run. Think I'll try a solo afterward, and this is probably the class im going with. It's so cool 😮
Awesome! It's a lot of fun. If you die in a solo run, just embrace it, it happens. Specially in act 1
@FriendlyLich I expect it honestly!
Can this build work with oathbreaker of dos it have to be vengence?
@ As 8W/4P would do a bit less damage yes, but I’m guessing it would still perform quite well
@FriendlyLich gotcha thanks!

Hard to listen sometime!

@@FriendlyLich It was, thank you.
Would building this with GOO warlock work aswell with the fear on crits? Or is fiend just that much better?
That would work just fine too. Fiend felt thematically correct here. I like fireball and temp hp but the fear effect is nice too
No third attack from Paladin? Is the level IV smite so strong? Build looks great 👍
The third attack only works on tactician and below. I wanted to make it as good as I could for honour mode.
I know I know Tactician ew but this build also goes ridiculous crazy on tactician with 7/5 Warlock Paladin. Crapping out short rest smites, getting 3 attacks, and then killing someone with bloodlust and getting three more.
Have not tried it but I read that it is quite nuts!
will u do a run with this build? 👀
Unlikely since I did one just to have fun. But not impossible though
@FriendlyLich aww, hope u do, seems like a fun build! maybe with origin character (:
What‘s up with the shadowmonk gameplay?
It's still going strong. This has been a side-project of mine
Why not just respec at 6? I feel like the first paladin level is kind of pointless considering there’s no good heavy armor for the first few levels and with 16 dex you’ll have decent AC in clothing.
You can absolutely respec. There's a lot of challenge runs with self-imposed rules though, for example no respecs.
