I will admit that I did play it a bit in order to fix the FPS bug, change key bindings, and set up the video & audio settings, which is why I knew how to use Focus without being told.
I always wondered why they removed the leaning system from F.E.A.R in the sequels, that system was one of the reasons made the first one so amazing.
It's just best to ignore Fear 2 and 3. Fear's story ended with Extraction Point.
this game still holds up really well today

True, but I guess the tradeoff is that you can go really fast

I was able to beat FEAR on extreme but im pretty sure that was mostly because I could savescum lmao

If you don't mind me asking, you run into any crashing issues? Any stability mods used for your gameplay?
No crashing issues so far. The only thing I downloaded was an FPS fix off of the Steam Guides
Were you trying to sneak behind them just so that you coul knock them down? Because I don't think it's a good idea.
