Sweetness!! Makes me miss my old ‘03 KX250. She was a BEAST, but super dangerous for the type of riding I do. I ride in the woods mostly so I don’t have a need to jump buildings. Maybe one day I’ll pick up a 125 2-smoker some day, it would probably be a little better suited for what I do. I know people ride 250 2-strokes in the woods but I’m a quad guy, so my dirt bike skills just aren’t at a level where I need that much power. I don’t know how tall you are but that kx100 seems like it might be about the right height for me being 5’8”. Anyway, another awesome video I’m the bag, great job bud.
Thanks! I'm 5'10" and all I did was get rid of the mini bars and add adult size handlebars! Even that little KX100 was scary as hell in the loose sand and gravel of the Arizona desert. That was my first real dirt bike ride in about 30 years! That 2 stroke powerband is no joke in the loose stuff (and I'm also used to 4 stroke quads!)
@@11GalleryATV I most definitely prefer 2-smokers over 4-pokers any day, I’m just not as good on 2’s as I am on 4’s. Hey, I am picking up my 400EX from my dad’s in Arizona on Thanksgiving week though. He lives down in Yuma. He says it’s smoking pretty bad so since I have to do a top end I think I’m going to get a 440 top end, get it ported, and maybe put in some stage 2 hotcams. I can’t wait to get that thing. He is giving me 2 quads and a trailer. 🤷🏼♂️
Same thing happened to me with a tusk gas cap and the hose its self was cheep rubber and it expanded from the gas fumes and wouldn’t let and air in and it ran fine until I was on it for more than like 5 seconds then it would die, changed the stem and it was fine, scared the shit out of me though lol!
There are too many unknown factors to truly answer that question but stock is 138 Main Jet and a 45 Pilot Jet (Slow Jet) ... a lot of times these jets get clogged so it may be as simple as cleaning them out ... I know living in the Arizona desert I have to clean these jets out quite often
