Located near the centre of Figueres, beside Figueres railway station. This crossing is very busy and the road surface is uneven. There are half barriers.

Why does the crossing close that early? Of course people will ignore the signal if they know it takes 2 minutes before the train passes! And that's very dangerous.

I think it depends where the crossing train detectors are placed, and it's how Spanish crossings operate. For this crossing, it appears the train detectors are before the crossing, so the crossing is activated before the train calls at the station.

I believe its a company called "Tacse". They supply the warning lights for crossings with or without barriers and probably supply the barriers too.
